The kind of test given in this research was multiple choice, which consisted of 20 questions and was valid for the pre-test and post-test. The data was analyzed by using a sample paired T-test. The result of the analysis showed that the use of sq4rtechnique to increase students’ reading comprehension was good benefits. The result of the pre-test score was 42,65, and the post-test score after the treatment was 67,65. The testing of the hypothesis also proved that SQ4R technique had a significant effect on students’ reading comprehension. The significance value(2-tailed) showed that the value of Sig =0.000 was less than the significance level (α = 0.05), sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.05. From the result, it can be concluded that SQ4R technique can be used as a medium to improve students’ reading comprehension.

A pre-experimental research design was applied, with a sample of 20 fourth-grade students from class 4D at SDN 04 OKU. The instruments used included multiple-choice and matching tests comprising 30 questions. The data were analyzed using a paired sample T-test. The results showed a significant improvement from a pre-test score of 62.00 to a post-test score of 93.5. The statistical significance value (Sig = 0.000) indicated that the animation video had a significant effect on students’ vocabulary acquisition. The study concluded that animation video is an effective medium for improving vocabulary among elementary school students.
