Abstract

This research is based on the low learning independence of these students, ultimately causing students to be less careful in determining learning goals, determining learning resources, and determining learning strategies from the learning they have done. This research was conducted in connection with the use of experimental methods in natural science subjects at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara especially in grade IV students. The purpose of this research is to increase the independence of student learning, especially in material related to the properties of light in natural science subjects. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study using nonequivalent groups pre-test-post test design. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara. Data collection techniques in the form of direct observation and student questionnaire responses. The research instrument was in the form of anindependent learning observation sheet and a student questionnaire response sheet. The results of this study indicate that the use of experimental methods in natural science subjects can improve the learning independence of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 4 Metro Utara. This can be seen from the increase in the number of values on each indicator of learning independence observed. The results of this study can be a suggestion for teachers and schools to continue to vary the science learning with appropriate methods, especially experimental methods, so as to increase student learning independence.

Abstract

The research was conducted based on the low critical thinking of students in social studies learning. To overcome this problem, the researchers applied a social inquiry learning model. Social inquiry learning was a series of activities that emphasize critical thinking, analysis, and dialectical processes to seek and find the answer to a problem in question. This was developed through a strategy of asking questions, so that critical thinking skills have been developed since elementary education. Through this social inquiry learning, students have been trained to discover and reflect on the nature of social life. The method used was Classroom Action Research with Kemmis Mc Taggart design which consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. The subject in this research was 24 students in fifth grade SDN Sindang IV. The instruments used are observation sheets, interviews, field notes and tests. Based on the exposure to the data obtained, student activity and students' critical thinking increased. Thus it can be concluded that the application of social inquiry can improve students' critical thinking.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced learning to change the way it is delivered. To prevent the spread of the virus, schools are organized with PJJ (distance learning) which is also known as online learning. Not all teachers are ready to implement because of various obstacles. This study is a qualitative research that aims to describe teachers' perceptions of online learning in elementary schools. The data collection instrument used an observation guide and an interview guide. Data analysis used qualitative data analysis techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman. From the results of data analysis, it is known that the teacher's perception of online learning is that learning in elementary schools is not effective interms of achieving learning objectives and the learning process. Online learning burdens teachers and parents both morally and materially. Online learning makes students feel separated from their friends and students' attitudes and skills competencies are difficult to know. The success of online learning is highly dependent on the awareness and concern of parents, the availability of facilities and infrastructure, and the care of teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out whether or not the influence of outdoor learning models on the poetry writing skills of students of State Elementary School 6 Rambang. Merode research used is a quantitative method with data collection techniques that are deed tests. The method used in the study was outdoor learning, with posstest-only control design used to determine the effect of a treatment of the study subject. The population of this study is a student of grade IV Of State Elementary School 6 Rambang which consists of two classes with a total of 30 students. Class IVA as an experimental class of 15 peopleand class IVB as a control class with 15 students. Based on the results and discussion and calculation of data with significant levels (α) 0.05 and dk = 15-1 = 14. Thitung = 4.6 can thus conclude thitung>ttabel or 4.6 > 1.761, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. It can be concluded that this hypothesis states that research has a significant influence in the use of outdoor learning models on the poetry writing skills of elementary school students.

This study aims to: 1) examine the effectiveness of the Think Talk Write model comparedto the conventional model on the Poetry Writing Skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 05 Rambang. 2) to test whether there are differences in rhyme writing skills in fourth grade students of SD Negeri 05 Rambang who apply the Think Talk Write model and those who apply the conventional model. The subjects of this study were the fourth grade students of SD Negeri 05 Rambang with 30 students in class IV.A as the experimental class and class IV.B as many as 30 students as the control class. The method used by the researcher is aquasi-experimental method. Data collection techniques using tests and documentation. Data analysis used N-gain test, normality test, homogeneity test, Independent Sample t-test(t-test).Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, this is evidenced by the calculation of the N-gain score test showing that the average N-gain score for the experimental class is 71.7761 or 71% while for the control class it is 36.4412 or 36%. The think talk write model is effective compared to the conventional model in poetry writing skills, while the use of the conventional model is less effective. And the results of the t-test calculation with a significant level (α) of 0.05 and dk = 30 – 1 = 29 it was found that the value of tcount = 305.56, thus it can be concluded that tcountttable or 305.56 2.43 then H0 is rejected Ha be accepted. This means that the hypothesis states that there are differences in the poetry writing skills of fourth grade students of SD Negeri 05 Rambang who apply the think talk write model and those who apply the conventional model proven true.

Abstract

The research of this development aims to produce an ivy-based geomteri matter module based onproblems ordeals on valid, practical, and effective student mathematical reasoning. The kind ofresearch that is done is research and development (r&d) refers to the borg & gall model. Based onthe results of the test, it is obtained that (1) validation of the module in a very valid category (2) practical, judging by the observations of the module's alignment are in the category fully executed, and (3) effective, judging by the student's study tests being scored 85% absolutely and the student's mathematical reasoning has reached the minimum minimum criteria. So it can be concluded that the developed modules have met valid criteria, practicality, and effectiveness.
