Abstract

Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the technologies in the field of AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) that is able to simulate all information in a development project into a 3D model. Research in this thesis was carried out to analyze the results of the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) 5D in dock work (Quay Wall Structure) by paying attention  to clash detection at the pre-construction stage, with a case study of the Patimban Port Project Package 6. The focus of the research is the application of BIM 5D in identifying and resolving design clashes that can have an impact on the estimation of work volume and cost. The method used is qualitative and inductive analysis using Tekla Structure 2021 BIM software for 3D modeling and clash detection identification. The results of clash detection identification are grouped into three categories, namely large, medium, and small. The implementation of BIM 5D shows significant volume changes in some work items. The volume of the Deck Slab (Pier Head) and Front Wall decreased compared to the initial RAB, while the volume of the Deck Slab (In-Situ Concrete) increased. The cost comparison shows a savings of 7.06% of the total initial cost of RAB Quay Wall Structure, which is equivalent to IDR 10,502,919,303.55. The implementation of BIM 5D by conducting clash detection is quite effective in identifying and resolving design clashes, mitigating errors and revisions when entering the construction stage, and can increase project efficiency in better communication and coordination.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an in-depth analysis and clear data regarding the opening of land roads for land crossings, vehicles, goods and services, and people at the Northern Papua-Papua New Guinea border, specifically at the Skouw National Border Post connected to Vanimo, Papua New Guinea. The opening of this crossing lane has both positive and negative impacts on the crossing area. Therefore, it is crucial to conduct this study from a perspective beyond the Westphalian System, which focuses not only on maintaining national sovereignty but also on the unification of borders or a de-borderless approach. This perspective aims to advance the communities around the border of the two countries and provide significant benefits. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method, which explains the border phenomenon between the two countries with valid data obtained through primary and secondary sources, ensuring clear and accurate data. The results indicate that the opening of crossings for goods, services, and people at the Skouw-Vanimo border will enhance economic activities in both countries, increase socio-cultural interactions among border communities, strengthen bilateral relations, and establish the region as a hub for economic and trade activities with other Pacific countries. Moreover, it will reduce tensions among Pacific countries, promote strategic partnerships due to enhanced connectivity in the Pacific region, and even extend to the Indo-Pacific. This study highlights the potential benefits of a de-borderless approach to border management, emphasizing the need for cooperative development to maximize the positive impacts on the communities involved.

Abstract

This article explores the trend of Multi Channel Network (MCN) in Indonesia through the case studies of Podkesmas on Spotify and Close The Door on YouTube. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collected through document analysis and interpretive methods to examine how MCNs support content creators in expanding audience reach and monetization strategies. Findings reveal that Podkesmas has achieved over 35 million plays by collaborating with major brands, while Close The Door leverages a collaborative ecosystem to strengthen brand equity and attract broader audiences. The study concludes that MCNs play a crucial role in enhancing content creators’ branding and monetization in Indonesia’s digital media landscape. Future research is recommended to investigate MCNs on other platforms, analyze audience behavior more deeply, and develop localized strategies for optimizing MCN collaboration.

Abstract

Bunaken National Park (BNP) was awarded the Global Winner and National Parks Category Winner in 2003 from the British Airways Tourism for Tomorrow Award for its success in implementing collaborative management (co-man). However, various recent studies actually show its ineffectiveness in managing BNP. The reasons are lack of quality conservation, the unfinished transformation of the profession of fishermen and farmers into the tourism industry, and the alienation of socio-cultural factors from the BNP management system. Using qualitative-descriptive research methods, this article aims to evaluate the implementation of the co-man model in BNP by analysing the role of actors (stakeholders) in order to actualize Sustainable Tourism Development (STD). The result is that actors have no significant role in implementing the co-man model due to the government’s dominance. This research also found goal disorientation in BNP management due to the ineffectiveness of the model. Its research questions are: how is the BNP co-man model effective in actualizing STD? What are the ideal roles of the actors and what basic prerequisites are needed for the collaboration model to operate effectively? This study urges the need for a multistakeholder approach by providing equal space for actors and placing STD as a "core business".
