Abstract

Construction projects often face challenges in maintaining a balance between execution and planning, especially in terms of time and cost. Delays and cost overruns often hinder project efficiency, which has an impact on the satisfaction of the project owner. This study aims to evaluate the cost and time performance of the Purwodadi Market development project in North Bengkulu Regency using the Earned Value Management (EVM) approach. The EVM method was chosen because of its ability to provide a comprehensive picture of the achievement of project performance in terms of time and cost. Data is obtained from the project's weekly report and analyzed using indicators such as Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP), Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS), and Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP). The results show that in the 9th month, the project achieved faster progress than scheduled with a Schedule Performance Index (SPI) of 1.068 and a Cost Performance Index (CPI) of 1.012. This shows that the project is running more efficiently in terms of time and more cost-effective compared to the planned budget. However, there are several months before (the 5th to 8th month) that show delays and wasted costs. The conclusion of this study is that the EVM method is effective in evaluating project performance and allows for the identification of areas that need improvement. Thus, the application of EVM is recommended to improve the management efficiency of similar construction projects.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effect of the Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) method on differences in student knowledge outcomes in the Visual Programming course in the Educational Technology Study Program. This study used a quasi-experimental design with two groups, namely the experimental class that applied the PAL method vertically and the control class that used conventional learning methods. The research participants totaled 50 students, drawn from the four class offerings randomly and divided into 2 class groups of 25 learners each. Data were collected through learning motivation questionnaire and knowledge test measured by Likert scale and Bloom's Taxonomy-based test on cognitive domain. Results of statistical analysis with Two-Way Anova test showed that there was no significant difference in knowledge outcomes with a value of 0.331>0.05 based on learning motivation. However, the study showed a value of 0.036 <0.05, meaning that there was a significant difference between the PAL method and conventional learning on student knowledge outcomes. In addition, the value of 0.972>0.05 means that there is no significant interaction between the level of student learning motivation and learning methods on knowledge outcomes. This study found good responses from students where they prefer and are enthusiastic about learning with the PAL method compared to the conventional method, because the method is considered more flexible and comfortable to use for learning. This study suggests further evaluation related to the use of the PAL method by improving tutor skills and setting the duration of learning to increase effectiveness in achieving student learning outcomes

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by *Mycobacterium tuberculosis*. One of the factors contributing to the low cure rate is non-adherence to TB treatment. Non-adherence is influenced by patient-related factors, including respondent characteristics, knowledge about pulmonary TB, and drug availability. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of respondent characteristics, namely age, gender, education, knowledge about pulmonary TB, and drug availability on adherence to medication. This is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were collected proportionally from 59 pulmonary TB patients undergoing treatment at 20 community health centers. The instrument used was a questionnaire based on MMAS-8, and the data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with Spearman Rho correlation test and Ordinal Logistic Regression. Adherence to pulmonary TB treatment was better in the older age group (36-45 years) with 85.4%, those with a high school education at 73.2%, respondents with high knowledge at 63.4%, and those reporting good drug availability at 88.9%. No respondents were categorized as non-adherent. The factors significantly affecting adherence to TB treatment were age (p = 0.046), education level (p = 0.013), knowledge (p = 0.021), and drug availability (p = 0.000), with drug availability having the greatest influence. Meanwhile, gender did not have a significant effect on adherence. The R-Square value was 0.525, and the regression equation was \( Y = 0.492 + 0.190 X1 – 0.101 X2 + 0.195 X3 + 0.356 X4 + 0.505 X5 + \epsilon \).
