Abstract

Stunting is a form of failure to thrive at high altitude (stunting) due to accumulation of malnutrition that persists from conception to 24 months of age (Bloem et al, 2013). This situation is exacerbated by insufficient catch-up growth (Kusharispeni, 2002). The index for identifying stunted young children is based on the age index (TB/U) according to the WHO criteria (2015). -2 standard deviations (SD). The aim of this study was to analyze the determinants of exclusive breastfeeding at 0-6 months of age to prevent stunting in NTT's Kupang County. This type of study is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of breastfeeding mothers and infants aged 0-6 months from Kupang District, East Nusa Tenggara. The sample was a breastfeeding mother aged 0–6 months who met the inclusion criteria, i.e., live birth willing to be a respondent, single birth, nondisabled, free of comorbidities mothers and infants. was an infant. The number of samples is 75. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling. Results showed that there was no significant association between respondents' workplace characteristics and incidence of stunting, p=0.21 >α=0.05. There are important relationships. Age p=0.0001 <; = 0.05; Education 0.028 <; α = 0.05 Knowledge p = 0.003 <; = 0.05; Role p = 0.0001 <; = 0.05. It was concluded that age, education, knowledge, family support, officer role, and family role were determinants of exclusive breastfeeding to prevent stunting. We recommend using this model to prevent growth retardation.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving field of marketing, building and maintaining purchase intent remains a central theme and a significant challenge for marketers. Among various strategies em-ployed to sustain customer brand loyalty, social media marketing has emerged as a recent and effective tool. This study delves into the impact of social media marketing on the pur-chase intent of consumers, an area that is garnering growing interest from both marketing scholars and industry practitioners. The research specifically encompasses customers in Indonesia who follow "Oatside" on Instagram. Oatside is a popular plant-based milk prod-uct, and its Instagram followers form the target demographic for this study. A structured questionnaire was administered to a sample of 130 respondents, serving as the primary data collection method. The collected data were then examined using linear regression analysis conducted via SPSS. The results of the study indicate a positive correlation be-tween purchase intent and several key factors related to the brand's social media pres-ence. These include the brand's provision of entertaining content, facilitation of two-way communication with consumers, presentation of trending topics, and offering of personal-ized content. Each of these elements contributes to enhancing consumer engagement and influencing purchase decisions. As a pioneer in this novel area of marketing, the study not only contributes to the academic understanding of the impact of social media marketing but also suggests practical tactics for industry practitioners. These strategies can be in-strumental in optimizing their social media marketing efforts, thereby enhancing customer engagement and driving purchase intent.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) is currently placing a fair amount of concern on the state of its police legitimacy. However, numerous evidence of public response to date indicated some problems that threaten the legitimacy of Polri and might affect their performance. Following the public response, Polri launched several significant alterations to its policing methods. Hence, several critics questioned the effectiveness of Polri’s current method. This study will examine the pros and cons of the new policing scheme taken by Polri based on literature review of previous studies. Some suggestions as an alternative method are also provided in this study to improve Polri’s approach. Implications of these findings for police practitioners and researchers are then discussed.

Abstract

In recent years, the use of social media has been very high among millennials and the middle class in Papua. This represents a new communication channel, especially in underdeveloped areas, where the political relations between citizens and the government are mostly conducted through conventional means such as demonstrations, dialogues, public hearings, submitting open letters to the government, putting up banners, and open complaint boxes. This article aims to analyze the role of social media in the process of public policy-making in the Province of Papua. The use of social media is very high among the millennial generation in Papua to respond to local government policies. However, its influence on policy change is still limited. Only traffic management policies have changed in response to criticisms on social media. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted through interviews and document analysis. The results show that social media plays a role in voicing public aspirations but has not yet influenced policy decision-making. There is a need for political will from the Papua Local Government to integrate citizens' aspirations into public policies. Further research could formulate a model of the relationship between citizens and the government through social media for more participatory public policies.

Abstract

Informed Consent is a prerequisite before a medical procedure can be considered legally valid and provide legal protection. Additional medical procedures can raise ethical, medical, and legal issues. There is no specific legislation focusing on legal protection for doctors regarding these additional medical procedures, but general principles of Indonesian law provide room for doctors to defend themselves if they have served patients professionally in accordance with professional standards and professional ethics. The research aims to analyze the procedures for obtaining consent for additional medical procedures and the legal protection for doctors providing these services to patients. The research method is conducted using a normative juridical approach with conceptual and case approach. The research results indicate that the purpose of obtaining consent for medical procedures is to protect patients from medical procedures performed without their knowledge and to provide legal protection for doctors from unforeseen and negative consequences. In the case of additional medical procedures, there must be renewed consent, and the procedure for obtaining consent depends on the availability of family members, either during or after the procedure. Doctors must comply with all medical standards and maintain complete medical records. In conclusion, the procedure for obtaining consent for additional medical procedures should be conducted during the procedure if family members are present or after the procedure if family members are absent, and legal protection for doctors in additional medical procedures is ensured through renewed written consent, maintaining complete medical records, and adhering to professional standards.

Abstract

An established business must first have a comprehensive plan, including a vision, mission, and goals to be achieved, including increasing turnover and profits and then be able to map out what the company wants and needs with its resources. BMC Strategic Planning (BMC) is a business plan model that explains goals, capital, and efforts to achieve your goals comprehensively. This planning strategy effectively minimizes failure because all risks have been mapped. In some startups, formulating a BMC is a necessity, considering that most startup companies have a risk of failure in the first 5 years. Therefore, this research wants to see the extent of BMC's role in increasing the turnover of novice entrepreneurs in creative industries that have been established for 5 years by comparing turnover before and after using BMC for 3 consecutive years. The results show that the application of BMC to budding entrepreneurs in the creative economy sector has increased their turnover by 22.82% compared to before using BMC. The highest increase in turnover was in the culinary sector, reaching 26.36%, followed by F&B at 25.05%, fashion at 23.9%, and beverages at 22.74%. The BMC elements are dominant because they prioritize the quality of taste (food and drinks) as well as the quality of packaging and clothing design, key activities, and key partners to build value propositions, then supported by accurate market segmentation and customer relationships followed by intensive promotion (Channel) so that a revenue stream occurs, in the form of increased sales (Omzet).
