The term community service refers to activities that utilize relevant science and technology to advance the welfare of the community and educate the nations life. This journal publishes articles with topics such as theoretical innovations or methods or strategies for implementing community service activities, community service management innovations, university-community partnership strengthening programs, as well as other topics related to the impact and best practices in the implementation of community service to society. Praxis accepts article submissions from all over the world. All accepted articles will be published for payment of an article processing fee, and will be available free of charge to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage. Praxis accepts article manuscripts with the following types Research Article: contains a quantitative, qualitative, or combination method study that shows the impact of community service projects on local communities, students, lecturers, or institutions. Reflective Essays contain sharp reflections on current issues or ideas related to community service based on literature. Projects with Prospects contains a description of the early stages of a community service project with an initial indication of its impact long-term evaluation plan a plan for how the project will remain sustainable; and best practices for readers to emulate. Book Reviews contains reviews of books related to community service which are more than just content descriptions, in order to analyze and extract their implications for theory and practice.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth for 6 (six) months, without adding and/or replacing it with other foods or drinks. Breast milk contains many nutrients, including albumin, fat, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, growth factors, hormones, enzymes, immune substances, and white blood cells in the right and balanced portions. The composition of breast milk is specific to each mother, changes and differs from time to time according to the baby's needs at that time. One of the obstacles to exclusive breastfeeding is the mother's low level of knowledge. The method used to increase this knowledge is by providing counseling in the form of interactive lectures and showing videos, while implementing behavior is carried out through exercises or simulations. Before the counseling was carried out, a pretest was carried out on mothers of reproductive age who were participants in community service. After being given counseling, a post test was carried out to see the increase in mother's knowledge. From the pretest results it was found that 40% did not have a good understanding of exclusive breastfeeding. After being given counseling, there was a significant increase in participants' understanding, namely 80%. The conclusion of this community service is that after receiving counseling, there was an increase in understanding regarding exclusive breastfeeding among mothers of reproductive age in Aengdake village.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) 48 merupakan suatu kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Talang Cempedak, Kecamatan Jejawi, Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI). Fokus utama kegiatan KKN ini adalah menguatkan silaturahmi antar dusun melalui penyelenggaraan lomba voli. Lomba voli diadakan sebagai sarana untuk mempererat hubungan sosial antar warga dusun-dusun di Desa Talang Cempedak. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat saling berinteraksi dan membangun rasa kebersamaan yang lebih kokoh. Lomba voli juga dianggap sebagai media yang efektif untuk memperkenalkan nilai-nilai sportivitas, kerjasama tim, dan semangat persaudaraan.Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melibatkan partisipasi aktif warga dari setiap dusun. Panitia lomba voli dibentuk untuk mengatur segala teknis perlombaan, termasuk penyusunan jadwal, penilaian, dan pengelolaan fasilitas. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dimeriahkan dengan berbagai kegiatan pendukung, seperti lomba-lomba kecil, bazar, dan pertunjukan seni budaya.Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam silaturahmi antar dusun di Desa Talang Cempedak. Warga dari berbagai lapisan masyarakat turut serta aktif dalam kegiatan ini, menciptakan atmosfer keakraban dan kegembiraan. Selain itu, lomba voli juga berhasil menyemarakkan kehidupan sosial dan budaya di desa, memberikan dampak positif terhadap semangat gotong-royong dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan.Dengan demikian, KKN 48 di Desa Talang Cempedak telah memberikan kontribusi yang berarti dalam menguatkan silaturahmi antar dusun melalui lomba voli. Keberhasilan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi inspirasi bagi kegiatan serupa di daerah lain, sehingga dapat terus memperkuat jaringan sosial dan solidaritas di masyarakat.

Abstract

The service activity carried out is in the form of mentoring in learning mathematics subjects for class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci. The aim of this mentoring activity is to increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning, especially in mathematics subjects, material regarding arithmetic operations. algebraic form. Class VII C students at SMP Negeri 14 Kerinci have low interest in mathematics lessons, this can be seen from their lack of enthusiasm in studying in class and their low understanding of the material provided. This is known through initial observations and identification carried out in class. This mentoring activity is carried out through teaching and learning assistance to female students using the mentoring method. At the start of this mentoring activity, students interview teachers and students with the aim of finding out the students' abilities before providing mentoring. After being given. mentoring by the service team, the students will be given a final test (posttest) with the aim of finding out the level of success of the mentoring carried out. The results of this activity showed that the response from students was very good and enthusiastic about participating in good study guidance which can increase students' understanding, enthusiasm and enthusiasm in learning algebraic arithmetic operations.

Abstract

This community service initiative at RA Muslimat NU Kalegen 2 addressed the escalating environmental issues linked to improper waste disposal. Focusing on transforming plastic bottle caps into educational toys, the project aimed to instill environmental consciousness and creativity in children. Through direct demonstrations and engagement, participants were encouraged to repurpose waste materials. The positive outcomes, including increased knowledge, skills, and creativity among the children, were evident. The high satisfaction levels from participants underscore the success of the program in promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility among young minds.

Abstract

Consuming enough vegetables for young children, especially children at kindergarten level, is important to meet their nutritional needs, namely a minimum of five portions in seven days. The main content contained in vegetables is high dietary fiber which is very important for the growth of early childhood. Low consumption of vegetables in early childhood is a problem that often occurs in the environment around us, so there is a need for socialization regarding this matter. The method for this socialization is through lectures and demonstrations using poster media. This socialization activity was carried out on October 3 2023 at TK Kartika 3-17 which is located at Jl. Tobong No. 2 Tuguran, Potronson, District. North Magelang, Magelang City, Central Java. The target of this activity is kindergarten students in classes A and B, with 20 students in class A each, and 19 students in class B.

Abstract

Minyak jelantah ialah minyak bekas yang dapat didapat dari kegiatan rumah tangga. Pemanfaatan minyak jelantah jadi bahan dasar pembuatan lilin aromaterapi yang dapat dijadikan sebagai peluang usaha. Lilin beraroma ialah lilin yang mengandung bahan aromatik yang bisa dipakai untuk penyegaran, relaksasi, serta pengobatan sakit kepala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode demonstrasi disampaikan dengan praktik tentang cara pembuatan aromaterapi dalam bentuk lilin. Tujuan dilakukan kegiatan pelatihan ini agar masyarakat dapat mempraktikkannya secara mandiri dan dapat membuka peluang usaha yang mempunyai nilai jual besar. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Desa Tanah Seribu, Kecamatan Binjai Selatan Kota Binjai Sumut, pada hari minggu 20 Agustus 2023 secara offline. Sebanyak ±15 orang, pesertanya adalah ibu-ibu warga Desa Tanah Seribu, Binjai. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilangsungkan selaku bentuk kepedulian mahasiswa pada masyarakat serta menambah pengalaman mahasiswa yang tidak didapatkan di dalam kampus.

Abstract

Generation z is the future generation who is expected to have the skills and understanding to face future economic challenges. Entrepreneurship creation is a government program to prepare the younger generation to face competition. One of the problems faced by the younger generation is entrepreneurial knowledge and developing the right business model. This Community Partnership Program (PKM) aims to help partners produce graduates who have an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to develop business models with the help of the business model canvas tool. The partner in this activity was MAN 1 Majene, West Sulawesi with twenty students participating in the activity. Activities are carried out in the form of training using lecture, mentoring, discussion and practice methods. The results of the activities achieved are (a) Partners have entrepreneurial competence and the ability to use business model canvas tools, (b) Partners gain literacy in developing an entrepreneurial spirit, (c) Partners gain experience analyzing business models with the help of business model canvas tools.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic disease that is often found in all levels of society with the main factor being cardiovascular disease. The main causes of this disease are genetics, lifestyle changes and stress. If hypertension is not treated immediately, it will certainly cause complications such as kidney problems, stroke and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease. Classification of hypertension according to WHO: normal blood pressure: 90-120 mmHg, pre-hypertension: 120-139 mmHg, grade 1 hypertension: 140-159 mmHg and grade 2 hypertension: more than 160 mmHg. The phenomenon that is often encountered is the level of knowledge about hypertension. Many people still do not know about the causes, signs and symptoms or how to treat hypertension. Hypertension cases are increasing every year, so there is a need for health efforts as a preventive measure. This community service was carried out in Tunjungnjagir Village, which is one of the villages located in Mantup District, Lamongan Regency. The aim of this community service in the form of socialization is to increase public knowledge about hypertension. The method used is a lecture method followed by a question and answer session using audiovisual media and leaflets. The results of this community service show an increase in the average value of hypertension knowledge from 79.6 to 86.9 after being given health education. Service activities in the form of health education can improve the quality of life by introducing the principles of prevention and are expected to reduce the prevalence of the disease itself.

Abstract

Training on making liquid organic fertilizer from kitchen waste was introduced as an effort to encourage sustainable agriculture at the community level. This study aims to evaluate the impact of training in making liquid organic fertilizer from kitchen waste on agricultural practices in Sidomulyo village. The research methods used include surveys, interviews with farmers, and analysis of agricultural yield data before and after the implementation of liquid organic fertilizer. The research results show that this training has succeeded in increasing the understanding and application of sustainable agricultural practices among farmers. The positive impact of this training includes increasing plant productivity. Training also provides economic benefits by reducing fertilizer costs and increasing farmer income through better crop yields. Implementation of training on making liquid organic fertilizer from kitchen waste in Sidomulyo village is a concrete step in encouraging sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture. The results of this research have important implications for similar regions that want to introduce sustainable agricultural practices by utilizing local resources.

Blood services at UTD PMI Bondowoso Regency have problems due to the decreasing growth in donors. Donations also decrease every year. From the researchers' analysis, a marketing strategy for donors is needed so that donors are more active in donating. The most appropriate service strategy in the current era is a digital marketing strategy so that people better understand the importance of blood donation. Steps to resolve partner priority problems that can be carried out through the Community Partnership Program include: Expanding marketing access by carrying out integrated sales promotions through market places and digital marketing applications, socializing customer value and digital marketing, and creating a more comprehensive marketing strategy via Instagram. interesting. The implementation of community partnership program activities is to provide socialization and assistance to digital marketing management in collaboration with the Public Relations team of the Mandala Institute of Technology and Science. The output produced is UTD PMI Bondowoso Regency social media as well as scientific articles about digital marketing for UTD PMI Bondowoso Regency.
