Abstract

In learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education, the function of learning media plays a crucial role. Several types of learning media that can be developed and applied in the Civic Education learning process are 1) Visual Media, 2) Audiovisual Media, and 3) Multimedia. Learning media is not only a complement to the learning process but also one of the determining factors for the success of the learning process in the classroom. Choosing the right type of learning media can facilitate the transfer of material from teacher to student, making the learning process more effective and efficient. Learning media not only impacts students' cognitive development but also helps develop their imagination and skills. These five functions illustrate the positive impact of learning media on the learning process. Learning media serves several functions, including communication, motivation, meaningfulness, equalizing perceptions, and addressing individuality. Each of these three types of media has its own advantages and disadvantages.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate students' increased responsibility for the content of civics education instruction in Grade 5 of Babussalam Elementary School, Pekanbaru Province. The reason for this study was students' lack of responsibility for preparing for their studies in advance, making effective use of their time, completing individual assignments, and seriously participating in discussions. It was action research in the classroom. The subjects of this study were teachers and 17 fifth grade students from Babusalam Primary School Pekanbaru. The goal was to implement a "structured numbered head" learning model and hold students accountable. The study was conducted over two cycles, and each cycle included two meetings. Perception and documentation were the ways to obtain information. The process of information analysis was a clear check with the rate. Based on research findings and information checks, it has been shown that organized numbered leader degree programs have higher degree requirements. This is evidenced by the fact that the second degree requirement existed before the activity and was below 74% in the poor category. After the educational activities were carried out in the first cycle, the second learning requirement increased to 76%, and in the very good category it was between 74% and 82%. It increased to 83% in the second cycle and ranged from 83% to 91% at high speed. It is legitimate to conclude that his second learning requirement regarding the content of civics lessons in the 5th review of Babus Salam Primary School Pekanbaru can be expanded through the use of a structured numberhead learning program.

Abstract

Independent learning at school has not shown positive results. Several surveys show that many students still do not have an independent attitude. The causal factor is that learning is still teacher-oriented. Teachers are still the only source of knowledge which causes student dependency, thus affecting independence. This research aims to (1) analyze the effectiveness of the problem based learning model assisted by mind mapping in increasing independence, and (2) analyze the increase in independence in the problem based learning model assisted by mind mapping. This research was carried out at SDN Randegan Kulon I and SDN Randegan Kulon II, Majalengka Regency. This type of research uses quasi-experiment. The method used is a quantitative method. The population of all class V at SDN Randegan Kulon I and II in 2021/2022 is 65 students. The research subjects were 32 experimental classes at SDN Randegan Kulon I and 33 control classes at SDN Randegan Kulon II. Sampling used nonprobability sampling with saturated sampling techniques. Research data was obtained from pretest-posttest, questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses normality test, homogeneity test, sample t-test, gain test, and effective contribution. The research results show: (1) The problem based learning model assisted by mind mapping is effective in increasing student independence: (a) classical completeness score is 93.75%, (b) average score is 83, (b) and gain score is 0.49 by category currently. (2) The problem based learning model assisted by mind mapping is effective in increasing learning independence: (a) classical completeness value is 93.75%, (b) average value is 81, (c) and gain value is 0.50 in the medium category. (3) There is a significant difference in students' learning independence after being given treatment using the problem based learning model assisted by mind mapping with an average pretest score of 61.34 and posttest 80.78, an increase of 19.44.
