Abstract

The real estate sector's economic resilience, which is essential for the recovery of the economy following the COVID-19 epidemic, is significantly influenced by financing. However, COVID-19's effects mean that financing cannot operate as previously agreed upon within the allotted time, which causes many debtors to go into default and produce bad debts or non-performing financing. Errors in the application of financing procedures might also result in non-performing financing. Problem funding is attempted to be saved by enforcing bank policies that currently exist. The goal of this discussion is to determine how the bank BSI Bank KCP Bogor Pajajaran Bantarjati's procedures, comparative financing conditions during and after COVID-19, and the resolution of problematic financing have shown a positive trend because it has been successful in lowering the number of customers who restructured from 30% to 0%, non-performing financing from 14% to 7%, and current financing from 56% to 93% during post-COVID-19. The number of customers whose financial situations improved and they were able to pay off their loans also contributed to the upward trend. This demonstrates the efficacy of the financing guidelines and practices put in place by Bank BSI KCP Bogor Pajajaran Bantarjati in an effort to keep the bank in good standing following COVID-19.

Abstract

Indonesia was ranked 6th among 10 countries with the highest number of people with diabetes mellitus, which amounted to 10.3 millions (International Diabetes Federation, 2017). The causes mostly are diet (eating habits) and lifestyle. The staple food of the Indonesian people is still dominated by rice which comes from the rice plant and has a high glycemic index which contribute to high glucose levels in the body. PUSPIPTEK BPPT (Science and Technology Research Center BPPT) developed Sago Rice® namely rice made from sago starch (Metroxylon spp). Sago Rice® was created with the aim of providing an alternative carbohydrate food to replace rice. The product has clinical trial results with a low glycemic index compared to other types of rice. A special marketing strategy is needed to introduce Sago Rice® to wider community in Indonesia. This article is an elaboration of marketing aspect from a thesis project conducted in 2016 – 2017. The research aimed to initiate a marketing strategy for Sago Rice® product. Qualitative descriptive research method was used to make a community-based marketing strategy through the PERSADIA Community (Indonesian Diabetes Association). The results showed that the community-based marketing strategy was well received by the community members. In addition to providing value-added knowledge of alternative carbohydrate sources, this strategy also improves public health. Thus, a community-based marketing strategy can be used as one of the marketing strategies for Sago Rice® in Indonesia.

Generally in preventing and controlling the spread of pests and diseases namely consult an expert, but the availability of experts is not always there in every area. Therefore this research builds a website based expert system to diagnose pests and diseases of ginger plants with the Case-Based Reasoning method. This method is a problem-solving that uses knowledge from previous experience to solve new problems. The expert system can diagnose five diseases and two pests with 39 symptoms. Based on the simulation test data as many as 50 done randomly, obtained a percentage value of 96% for expert diagnosis results with a system for the Case-Based Reasoning method. This Expert System can help farmers identify and control pests and diseases that attack the ginger plant.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of financial performance on stock prices, especially in banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Financial performance proxied by TATO, ROA and DER is tested using the classic assumption test to determine the effect on stock prices either partially or simultaneously. The research method used was descriptive quantitative and data testing was carried out using panel data regression with the equation Y = -12709.89X3 – 2100.702X3 – 4.710816X3. The test results have proven that both partially and simultaneously the independent variables have an influence but are very weak on the dependent variable.

Abstract

The Islamic banking system has long been believed to possess resilience in the face of crises, some even asserting its resistance to such challenges. To validate the aforementioned notion, an analysis of the efficiency performance of Sharia banking is conducted after the occurrence of what is referred to as the Second Round Crisis. This is undertaken due to the discovery that the impact of a crisis might not necessarily be felt during its onset, but rather after its passing. The research case study is Sharia Commercial Banks in Indonesia during the period 2012-2017. The research employs a parametric approach, namely the Stochastic Frontier Analysis Panel (SFA)  Greene's approach (2005) to examine the data. The research found that all examined samples experienced a decrease in efficiency in the year 2014. The data also reveal an increase in Non-Performing Financing (NPF) and a decrease in Return on Assets (ROA) during the same period. These findings reveal the presence of a second-round crisis phenomenon affecting the Sharia Commercial Banks in this year. Following this period, there was a gradual improvement in both efficiency and other ratios. In conclusion, it can be inferred that Sharia banks, particularly in Indonesia, are not resistant to crises.
