Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of service quality and price on customer satisfaction of economy-type rooms at Hotel Rajawali in Nanga Pinoh, Melawi Regency. The research is motivated by the importance of service quality and price in shaping customer satisfaction amid increasing competition in the hospitality industry. This study employs a quantitative approach using an associative method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who had stayed at Hotel Rajawali. The variables examined include service quality (X1), price (X2), and customer satisfaction (Y). Data analysis techniques used include multiple linear regression, validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests such as normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. The results of the F-test indicate that service quality and price simultaneously have a significant influence on customer satisfaction. However, the t-test results show that only service quality has a positive and significant partial effect on customer satisfaction, while price does not have a significant effect. These findings suggest that customer satisfaction at Hotel Rajawali is more strongly influenced by service quality rather than price. Therefore, it is recommended that hotel management focus more on improving service quality to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Islamic social finance plays a crucial role in poverty alleviation. This study aims to analyze the impact of Zakat, Infaq, Sadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF) management on poverty levels in Aceh Province. Using a quantitative approach, this research processes numerical data and applies statistical analysis to measure the effectiveness of ZISWAF in poverty reduction. The data were obtained from the Aceh Open Data Web documentation covering the period from 2018 to 2024. The findings indicate that effective ZISWAF management can significantly reduce poverty rates. Proper distribution of Zakat, optimization of Infaq and Sadaqah, and productive utilization of Waqf contribute to improving community welfare. However, challenges remain in terms of management transparency, Islamic financial literacy, and coordination between managing institutions and the government. As a recommendation, this study suggests implementing a more structured ZISWAF management system, enhancing Islamic financial literacy in society, and strengthening collaboration between the government and managing institutions to improve the effectiveness of poverty alleviation programs. With the right strategies, ZISWAF can become a more powerful instrument in achieving social welfare in Aceh.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of women’s empowerment policies in the maritime Bajo community of Wakatobi Regency and to formulate a gender-responsive policy model based on local wisdom. The background of this study lies in the high rate of extreme poverty in Wakatobi, which reached 15.01 percent according to BPS (2022), as well as the strategic role of Bajo women who bear multiple burdens as household managers and family economic supporters. A qualitative case study approach was employed, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) with Bajo women leaders, village officials, and non-governmental partners. The findings reveal that empowerment programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), micro-business skills training, and small-scale capital schemes have been implemented, yet remain largely consumptive-oriented and have not sufficiently enhanced sustainable capacity. The main barriers identified include low education levels, limited local government resources, and strong patriarchal culture, while supporting factors are the presence of local female leaders, social solidarity among women, and support from non-governmental organizations. Analysis using the Van Meter and Van Horn model produced a framework for a more gender-responsive policy implementation that emphasizes policy standard refinement, resource strengthening, participatory communication, active involvement of women, and adaptation to local wisdom. This study concludes that empowering Bajo women requires inclusive, participatory, and locally grounded policies to improve family welfare while strengthening the social position of women in coastal communities.

Abstract

This Study aims to analyzes the high crime rate problem in Indonesia and its impact on the correctional system, specifically the issues of prison (Lapas) overcrowding and high recidivism rates. Data indicates Lapas overcrowding ranged from 89% to 106.84% between 2019 and 2023, while recidivism rates were between 12% and 16% in the same period. Factors contributing to recidivism include a lack of vocational skills, social stigma, poor prison conditions, and insufficient rehabilitation initiatives. To address these challenges, this article proposes the implementation of Community Based Correction (CBC) as an alternative criminal sanction, supported by Indonesian Criminal Code (KUHP) Number 1 Year 2023, which introduces supervision sentences and social work sentences. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach with the PRISMA framework to review 17 relevant scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2024 from databases such as Google Scholar, Publish or Perish, and SINTA. Data analysis utilized a Narrative Synthesis technique. The review findings indicate that CBC programs, which include restorative justice, stakeholder collaboration for independence, and community supervision, are proven effective in reducing recidivism rates and facilitating the social reintegration of inmates. However, challenges in CBC implementation persist, including discrepancies between policy and practice, insufficient resources, and suboptimal public acceptance. This study emphasizes the importance of a correctional system focused on rehabilitation and guidance with community involvement to achieve better inmate reintegration and create a safer social environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the tradition, function, and meaning of the banana knife tradition in the twin birth welcoming ceremony in Surantih Village, Sutera District. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Informants for this study were determined using convenience sampling, which is the selection of informants who are considered to have the most understanding and are directly involved in the implementation of the tradition. The results of the study indicate that the banana knife tradition has been practiced since ancient times and passed down from generation to generation as part of the local community's cultural value system. This tradition is carried out to welcome the birth of twins, who are believed to have spiritual powers and require special treatment to prevent negative impacts on the family and environment. The tradition of cutting banana leaves as the main symbol in the ritual not only functions as a symbol of purification or warding off evil, but also reflects the community's belief in the power of nature and ancestors. Thus, this tradition has strong religious, social, and symbolic meanings. This tradition can also be seen as a form of collective interpretation of the community's message regarding the relationship between humans, nature, and spiritual power, manifested through ritual communication using local cultural symbols.

Abstract

Human resources are a strategic element in achieving organizational goals, especially in the public sector such as the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). This study aims to analyze the influence of job embeddedness and career development on the organizational commitment of civil servants at BPS West Kalimantan Province. The study employs a quantitative associative approach using a census method involving the entire population of 76 active civil servants. The F-test results show that job embeddedness and career development simultaneously have a significant effect on organizational commitment. The t-test results indicate that both job embeddedness and career development also have a significant partial effect on organizational commitment, with career development exerting a more dominant influence (t-value = 17.952) compared to job embeddedness (t-value = 2.260). The coefficient of determination of 82.3% suggests that the combination of these two variables substantially explains the variability in organizational commitment. These findings highlight the importance of career development and the creation of a supportive work environment in enhancing employees' loyalty to the organization.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the Islamic banking sector in Indonesia, marked by the establishment of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) due to the merger of three state-owned Islamic banks, reflects the increasing awareness of the importance of financial transactions based on sharia principles. In this context, monetary policy set by Bank Indonesia plays a crucial role in influencing the financial sector's stability, including the movement of Islamic bank stock prices. This study aims to analyze the impact of monetary policy, represented by inflation and exchange rate variables, on the stock price of Bank Syariah Indonesia from January 2022 to December 2024. The research employs a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The F-test results indicate that inflation and exchange rates simultaneously have a significant effect on stock prices. Partially, inflation has a substantial adverse effect, while exchange rates have a considerable positive impact on the stock price of BSI. These findings underscore the importance of stable monetary policy management as a critical reference for investors in making investment decisions in the Islamic banking sector.

Abstract

Health is a vital aspect that must be continuously monitored, one of which is through blood pressure measurement. In general, blood pressure measurement is carried out using a manual sphygmomanometer that requires medical expertise, so the results are often not well documented. This study aims to design and implement a blood pressure monitoring system based on a microcontroller using the Mamdani fuzzy logic method. The system is developed by integrating a digital blood pressure sensor and a MAX30100 heart rate sensor connected to an Arduino Uno. The Mamdani fuzzy method is employed to classify the measurement results into three categories: hypotension, normal, and hypertension, based on systolic, diastolic, and heart rate (BPM) values. The system is also equipped with an LCD as a visual indicator to display the user’s health condition in real time, quickly, and informatively. Experimental results show that the system can operate properly, achieving an average error rate of 3.44% and an accuracy level of 96.28%. These findings indicate that the proposed monitoring system is sufficiently accurate, flexible in handling uncertain biological data, and has great potential to be developed as an initial screening tool for health conditions, particularly at home or in areas with limited access to medical facilities.
