Abstract

Nata is the result of fermentation products by Avetobacter xylinum. If nata de coco is often found with coconut water media, then nata de fish is made with unused lemuru stew media and has the potential to be waste because it results in polluting the environment. This study aims to find out how to make nata by comparing the substitution of lemuru decoction to the quality of nata de fish. The study used factorial RAL with two factors, namely the use of clean water 1.5 L and 2 L, the results of the analysis on each parameter including, the interaction of treatment had a very real effect (p < 00.1) on thickness. Treatment interactions had a very real effect (p < 0.01) on the amendment. Treatment interactions had a very real effect (p > 0.01) on wet weight. Treatment interactions had a very noticeable effect (p > 0.01) on protein levels. The test results of the presence of Esecherichia coli in each treatment showed an average < 3 MPN/g.

Abstract

Pasuruan Regency in East Java Province boasts a natural lake, Ranu Grati, formed by volcanic activity, covering about 50 hectares and home to endemic species like the Lempuk fish (Gobiopterus sp.). These fish play a crucial role in Ranu Grati's trophic structure, serving as primary consumers and key planktonic organisms supporting higher trophic levels. The Lempuk fish population faces sustainability challenges due to high demand for this traditional food, leading to overexploitation and decreased reproductive capabilities. Understanding the reproductive biology, particularly gonad maturity levels, is vital for effective resource management. This study, conducted from June to August 2023, aimed to investigate the reproductive biology and gonad maturity levels of Lempuk fish in Ranu Grati. Analysis revealed a male-biased sex ratio, with significant fluctuations in gonad maturity levels across months. In June, the sex ratio was 1.05, in July 1.17, and in August 1.39, indicating a higher population of males. Histological observations showed asynchronous egg development, likely influenced by environmental factors and the fish's reproductive strategy

Abstract

Ekspor merupakan salah satu faktor terjadinya peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara. Indonesia diketahui merupakan produsen utama kakap merah atau dalam dunia perdagangan dikenal dengan nama red snapper yang memberikan kontribusi hingga 45% terhadap total produksi kakap global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persyaratan ekspor tujuan Amerika. Metode penelitian dengan survey, dimana dalam pengumpulan datanya menggunakan kuesioner dan wawancara. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Ekspor komoditas perikanan memiliki karakteristik yang unik karena banyaknya dokumen yang harus dipenuhi, dari sebelum tangkap, pada saat tangkap, setelah tangkap, pengolahan, hingga ekspor. Dokumen persyaratan ekspor tujuan Amerika meliputi : Invoice, Packing List, Health Certificate (HC), Surat Persetujuan Muat (SPM), Pemberitahuan Ekspor Barang (PEB), Nota Pelayanan Ekspor (NPE), Certificate Of Origin (COO), Bill Of Lading (B/L), Latter Of Creddit (L/C). Kata kunci: Ekspor, Amerika, Fillet Ikan kakap merah

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in the Indonesian economy by raising the economic level of the general public, alleviating poverty, and earning foreign exchange for the country. The Covid 19 pandemic has had a significant economic impact in Indonesia. Khansa Food has been able to survive and rise from the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic by utilizing the resources available to them. The implementation of the marketing mix strategy at Khansa Food is critical to the company's long-term viability. The right marketing mix combination is a means to maintain, expand, and increase company profits. The objective of this study was to determine how the marketing mix was implemented at Khansa Food. The descriptive qualitative research method was used, with primary and secondary data. The study's findings that Khansa Food's combination of product, price, location, and promotion is well-defined. Khansa Food's products are of high quality and are standardized. Prices are kept competitive, and customers can purchase products either online or in-store. Online promotions and various exhibitions have been programmed. There is always room for improvement to boost business performance. According to the research findings, online sales can be increased in order to reach a larger market. Increased online promotion via social media can be used as a low-cost alternative promotion. Manufacturers must adapt to online promotions and sales due to changes in consumer behavior toward online transactions. The enhancements are expected to benefit Khansa Food's business in both the short and long term.

Abstract

As the interest in marine aquariums increases, so does the demand for ornamental corals. One of the parameters needed for coral growth is water flow. The Carlson Surge Device (CSD) is a tool that can generate water currents similar to natural sea currents found in coral reefs. This research aims to create a CSD that is easy and inexpensive to produce, so it can be widely applied in ornamental coral cultivation tanks by the community. By optimizing the cultivation of ornamental corals, it is hoped that the damage to coral reef ecosystems caused by illegal coral harvesting in nature can be minimized. This research uses an experimental method by testing PVC pipe diameters of 1 inch, 1.5 inches, 2 inches, and 2.5 inches. The CSD design created has reservoir dimensions with a diameter of 36 cm and a height of 35 cm, and uses PVC pipes with an inner pipe length of 20 cm and an outer pipe length of 44 cm. The results of this study show that the use of 2.5-inch diameter PVC pipes can produce a water flow rate of 0.28 m/s, which is suitable for coral growth, while the water flow produced by other pipe diameters is still too strong. These results indicate that the CSD prototype that has been made is suitable for application in ornamental coral cultivation tanks.

Abstract

ABSTRACTWaterwheel performance failure caused by many factors. One of the main causes is accumulation of organic material such as food waste, detritus, aquatic plants and bacteria that stick in leaves of the pinwheel. The aim of this research to find out how much influence the dirt crust that sticks to the waterwheel wheel has on its performance. The benefits of this research are expected to provide recommendations about good maintenance for water mills. The data analysis method uses Correlation and Regression analysis using SPSS 22 software. The results of data analysis show the relationship or influence of several parameters on the performance of the pinwheel. The model of the relationship between the length of shrimp rearing (Day of Culture) and the weight of the waterwheel wheel resulting from regression analysis forms an exponential equation model Y = 4,363 X 2,718^(0,006.x). The model of the relationship between the weight of the wheel crust and the temperature of the electric motor resulting from regression analysis forms an exponential equation model Y = 29,940 X 2,718^(0,041.x). The model of the relationship between the weight of the wheel crust and the wheel rotation of the water wheel resulting from regression analysis forms a linear equation model Y = 165,103 +(-13,424)x. The model of the relationship between the rotation of the water wheel wheel and dissolved oxygen levels in the water (Dissolved of Oxygen /DO) resulting from regression analysis forms a linear equation model Y = 3.275+0.20x.ABSTRAKKegagalan kinerja kincir air dapat disebabkan oleh banyak  faktor. Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah adanya akumulasi bahan organik seperti sisa pakan, detritus, tumbuhan air dan bakteri yang menempel di daun roda kincir. Proses ini mungkin diperparah oleh kondisi lingkungan tambak yang kurang terjaga, seperti tingginya nutrien tersisa dan kepadatan udang yang tinggi. Selain itu, faktor iklim seperti temperatur air yang tinggi dan paparan sinar matahari yang intens juga dapat memicu pertumbuhan mikroorganisme, alga, dan bakteri, yang kemudian dapat menempel pada permukaan daun roda kincir air dan membentuk lapisan kerak kotoran atau biofouling. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sampai seberapbesar pengaruh kerak kotoran ( biofouling ) yang menempel di roda (Wheel ) kincir air terhadap kinerjanya. Manfaat penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi tentang maintenant yang baik terhadap kincir air. Penelitian ini merupakan  studi kasus pada tambak Udang Vanname intensif CV. Panen Sehat Sejahtera Blitar Jawa Timur. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis Korelasi dan Regresi melalui software SPSS 22. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan hubungan atau pengaruh beberapa parameter terhadap kinerja kincir air sebagai berikut. Model  hubungan antara lama pemeliharaan Udang ( Day of Culture )  dengan berat roda (Wheel) kincir air yang dihasilkan dari analisis regresi membentuk model persamaan eksponensial  Y = 4,363 X 2,718^(0,006.x). Model  hubungan antara berat kerak roda kincir (wheel) dan suhu motor listrik yang dihasilkan dari analisis regresi membentuk model persamaan eksponensial  Y = 29,940 X 2,718^(0,041.x). Model  hubungan antara berat kerak roda kincir (wheel) dan putaran roda (Wheel) pada Kincir Air yang dihasilkan dari analisis regresi membentuk model persamaan Linier  Y = 165,103 +(-13,424)x. Model  hubungan antara putaran roda (wheel) Kincir Air dengan kadar oksigen terlarut dalam air (Dissolved of Oxygen /DO) yang dihasilkan dari analisis regresi membentuk model persamaan Linier  Y = 3,275+0,20x.

Abstract

The tawes fish (Barbonymus gonionotus) is one of the natural aquatic wealth of Indonesia has thick meat and a high market price. It meat boasts a higher protein content of 18.43% compared to carp (16%) and tilapia (18.72%). Tawes fish has the characteristic of being economically valuable and has the potential to be cultivated because it does not require too much land and can be cultivated throughout the year. In order to obtain good quality fish seeds in large quantities, the operational activities of fish breeding must be carried out carefully and planned. The activities of fish breeding began with the preparation of the pond, the selection of broodstock, spawning, hatching, larval rearing, and harvesting. Some parameters that can be measured in hatchery activities include fecundity, fertilization rate (FR), hatching rate (HR), food conversion rate (FCR) and survival rate (SR). Data collection techniques conducting direct observation, interviews, or observations about Pond preparation, broodstock selection, spawning, larval rearing, feeding and harvesting with the parameters that were measured in fish breeding activities were fecundity, Fertilization Rate (FR), Hatching Rate (HR), Food Conversion Ratio (FCR), and Survival Rate (SR). Based on the results of this research the fecundity value obtained was 24,489 eggs/parent, FR was 54%, HR was 65%, FCR was 3.9, and SR 60%.

Abstract

Bebalang Village is located in South Manganitu District, Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi. Bebalang Village is surrounded by the sea, so there are many coral reefs as a place for fish to live. Bebalang Village has huge fisheries potential, especially for pelagic fish such as flying fish (Decapterus sp.) with the local name malalugis. Generally, fishermen in Bebalang Village process malalugis fish into salted fish. However, salted fish processing in Bebalang Village still needs to be improved due to a lack of infrastructure, technology, and inadequate knowledge. In addition, sanitation and hygiene during processing could be more optimal, affecting the quality and safety of processed products. This study aims to evaluate the quality of salted fish produced by fishermen in Bebalang Village. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Salted fish test parameters are proximate, salt level, total bacteria and total fungi. Based on the test results of Kampung Bebalang salted fish, the moisture content ranged from 37.31-41.23%; protein ranged from 46.82-50.13%; salt level ranged from 10.66-15.58%; ash content from 12.25-13.58%; total bacteria between 2.6-4.8×103 CFU/gram; and total fungi which ranged from 5.2-9.5×102 CFU/gram.

Abstract

Problems in operating trap fish tool are that fishermen do not know the actual condition of the traps. Thus, it causes the effectiveness of time and number of catches to be not optimal. Based on the conditions and problems above, the writer concluded that an innovation in the operation of the trap to design a magnetic sensor-based system/tool to detect lobster catches that can be accessed via smartphone is required. The aim of this study is to design and observe the performance of using a magnetic sensor to detect lobsters' (Panulirus spp.) movements on a laboratory scale (in the aquarium). Data analysis in this study used the Confusion Matrix method, where this method divides the test results into 4 common conditions: TP (True Positive), TN (True Negative), FP (False Positive), and FN (False Negative). From the 4 conditions, Recall, Specificity, Precision, Accuracy, and F1 Score can be calculated. From 16 tests with the 16 lobsters of 60-190 grams/individual, it obtained conditions of TP of 25 times, TN of 109 times, FP of 11 times, and FN of 15 times. From the four conditions, it was obtained a Recall value of 0.625 or 62.50%, Specificity of 0.9083 or 90.83%, Precision of 0.6944 or 69.44%, Accuracy of 0.8375 or 83.75%, and F1 Score of 0.6579 or 65.79%. Based on the observations and test results of the actual detection and application system in this study, performance reference for using magnetic sensors was by using Accuracy with a score of 83.75%.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengasapan ikan merupakan usaha pengolahan ikan secara tradisional yang prospek pengembangannya cukup baik. Produk ikan asap merupakan makanan yang siap dikonsumsi karena selama proses pengasapan ikan telah mendapat perlakuan panas yang cukup untuk mematangkan daging ikan dan membunuh bakteri patogen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan konsumen produk ikan dengan mengimplementasikan metode house of quality. Teknik pengambilan data berupa penyebaran kuesioner skala Likert untuk mengidentifikasi kebuthan konsumen terhadap produk ikan asap serta focus group discussion dengan pemilik usaha untuk mendapatkan data mengenai respon teknis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat dua voice of customer yang menjadi prioritas untuk ditingkatan, yaitu (1) aspek ketersediaan produk yang dapat dibeli di banyak tempat serta (2) peningkatan kualitas tekstur daging ikan asap. Kedua varibel memiliki nilai satisfaction performance 3,512 dan 3,616. Dari sisi respon teknis, standar pengasapan berkontribusi sebesar 4,362 dan standar pengemasan berkontribusi sebesar 2,988 terhadap voice of customer. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa kedua standar perlu untuk dirancang agar produk ikan asap memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen.
