Abstract

The sound quality of a gong is influenced by its dynamic characteristics (its structural eigenmode). By controlling natural frequency ratio of the gong to a certain value, we can expect to obtain the optimum gong design. The subject of the present research is to establish an analysis of the application of design optimization in obtaining an optimum gong design. The optimum gong is defined as a gong that has a certain natural frequency ratio. The natural frequency ratio adopted in this reseach is based on those of English bell [1]. The Sequential Unconstrained Minimization Techniques from Ansys 5.4 is used to perform the optimization process. The design optimization method has been successfully applied on the optimization of the gong. The results obtained from the three case studies show that the most sensitive part of the gong is at its around free end. This indicates that in manufacturing gong, this part must be carefully treated.

Abstract

Fungsian failure problems or lack of contraception is still quite common among people who use family planning program. At least the report noted the failure of contraception in the period 2010-2013 amounted to 3846 report (BKKBN). Responding to the issue of the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN) gives advice to follow family planning method Long Term (LTM). LTM with contraceptive tool, the contraceptive IUD and implants, it has a higher success rate in controlling the birth rate. In addition to a higher level of security, long-term contraception tool also has a longer lifetime of 5-10 years as user preferences, so that the contraceptive is also considered more efficient in cost pemakiannya. But people still do not know clearly about contraceptives and more use of short-term contraceptives that birth control pills and injectables which also has a lower level of security. Of the existing problems the author aims to design video public service announcements online-based contraceptives as a means of family planning information program.Kata Kunci: Solutions, Problem, and Answer

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi terhadap kinerja karyawan dan mengetahui interaksi antara komunikasi dengan penempatan kerja karyawan KSP Karya Mulya Bondowoso. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua karyawan pada KSP Karya Mulya Bondowoso yang berjumlah 40 orang. Variabel yang digunakan yaitu sebanyak 3 variabel, yaitu variabel bebvas, variabel terikat dan variabel moderating. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis Regresi Linear Sederhana dan Moderated Regression Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh komunikasi terhadap kinerja karyawan KSP Karya Mulya Bondowoso dengan arah positif. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa dengan adanya komunikasi yang efektif didalam penyampaian informasi akan meningkatkan kinerja. Hasil penelitian berikutnya yaitu terdapat  interaksi antara komunikasi dan penempatan kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan KSP Karya Mulya Bondowoso. Hal ini berarti bahwa penempatan kerja merupakan variabel pemoderasi antara komunikasi terhadap kinerja karyawan, artinya penempatan kerja yang sesuai dengan kemampuan kerja karyawannya akan sangat mendukung efektifitas komunikasi yang dibangun dengan prinsip kepercayaan, kejujuran dan keterbukaan, hal ini tentunya akan memoderasi komunikasi sebagai informasi dalam meningkatkan efektifitas kinerja.

Abstract

The conflict resolution is one of the mandatory requirements to expand and to actualize the people's sovereign territory in the name of the sovereignty and justice of the people's living space. The implementation process is still leaving some lessons of learning and challenges in the future, both internal and external factors. For these reasons, the future recommendation and agenda are building the political seriousness of the state, strengthening the regulation of conflict resolution and its authoritative institutions, enforcing of people's sovereignty areas, limiting the size of ownerships of land tenure and agrarian sources, and creating a policy breakthrough.

Abstract

Ikan merupakan sumber protein hewani yang memiliki daya cerna yang lebih baik dan jumlah kandungan asam amino essensial yang lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan sumber protein hewani lainnya. Ikan sunglir adalah jenis ikan pelagis yang banyak hidup diperairan Nusa Utara. Ekstraksi KPI umumnya dilakukan dengan menggunakan pelarut etanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkarakterisasi sifat fisiko-kimia konsentrat protein ikan yang diekstrak dari ikan sunglir. Penggunaan etanol 90% dalam mengekstraksi konsentrat protein dari ikan sunglir menghasilkan rendemen berkisar 18-20%. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrat protein ikan sunglir memiliki kandungan protein yang tinggi dan memiliki kadar lemak yang rendah. Konsentrat protein dengan kadar protein >65% dan kadar lemak <3% tergolong sebagai konsentrat protein Tipe B sesuai dengan standar Mutu FAO 1976 tentang KPI. Hasil pengujian fisik menunjukkan bahwa KPI memiliki kemampuan penyerapan air, lemak dan densitas kamba yang cukup baik untuk diaplikasikan ke dalam bahan panganFish serve as an important source of animal protein with better digestibility and higher content of essential amino acids than other sources of animal protein. Elagatis bipinnulatus or sunglir in Indonesian is a common pelagic fish caught in Sangihe Islands. FPC is commonly extracted with etanol. Therefore, this research aims to characterise the physicochemical properties of the FPC extracted from rainbow runner. The use of 90% ethanol for exraction of FPC from rainbow runner resulted in 18-20% yield. The result shows that the local rainbow runner contained FPC with high level of protein (77.34%) but low level of fat (1.22%), classified as type B on the basis of FAO’s standard on FPC Protein, which stipulated FPC with >65% protein and <3% fat content as Type B. In addition, physical analysis proved that FPC has appropriate water and fat absorption abilities as well as kamba density, suitble for food substitute or fortification

Abstract

Sebagai suatu negara megabiodiversitas, Indonesia memiliki beragam spesies tumbuhan termasuk tanaman buah. Sayangnya, pohon buah asli Indonesia saat ini justru kurang diminati dengan berbagai alasan seperti rasa yang kurang manis, ukuran yang lebih kecil dan sebagainya. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan suatu upaya untuk memperkenalkan kembali keanekaragaman hayati pohon asli Indonesia, khususnya pohon penghasil buah. Upaya yang dimaksud salah satunya adalah dengan membuat atau membangun suatu kebun pohon buah langka di Desa Tambak Kalisogo, Kecamatan Jabon, Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Kegiatan telah dilaksanakan pada Juli 2021 hingga Mei 2022; berupa penanaman dan perawatan 13 spesies tanaman penghasil buah asli Indonesia yang telah mulai langka. Dalam jangka waktu tersebut, bibit tanaman menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang bagus dan memiliki tingkat kesintasan tinggi (90%). Kegiatan diharapkan memberikan dampak positif berupa pendapatan ekonomi bagi pengelola juga telah menjadi media edukasi bagi siswa sekolah dasar untuk mengenali keanekaragaman spesies pohon buah khususnya spesies asli dan langka Indonesia. Masyarakat dan perangkat desa memiliki persepsi yang bagus terkait pelaksanaan program dan mengharapkan adanya keberlanjutan dari program yang telah terlaksana.

Abstract

Kampung Palahanaeng terletak di Kecamatan Tabukan Tengah, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe, Sulawesi Utara. Angka prevalensi stunting di kampung ini cukup tinggi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu transfer ilmu pengetahuan dengan mendampingi kelompok PKK Kampung Palahanaeng tentang diversifikasi bakso ikan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga dapat menumbuhkan ide usaha sampingan olahan hasil perikanan. Tahapan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini, yaitu audiensi, identifikasi permasalahan, penetapan waktu pelaksanaan, persiapan, pemberian materi, dan evaluasi. Materi edukasi yang diberikan, yaitu 1). Peranan komponen daging ikan (protein dan lemak, bagi manusia); 2). Analisa usaha bakso ikan; dan praktik pembuatan bakso ikan. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK tentang manfaat konsumsi ikan bagi perkembangan anak dan ibu hamil. Selain itu, ibu-ibu PKK tertarik menekuni usaha bakso ikan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dan praktik langsung di masyarakat penting dilakukan secara berkala, terutama fokus pada daerah-daerah yang sudah ditetapkan pemerintah daerah sebagai daerah sasaran.

Abstract

Bebalang Village is located in South Manganitu District, Sangihe Islands Regency, North Sulawesi. Bebalang Village is surrounded by the sea, so there are many coral reefs as a place for fish to live. Bebalang Village has huge fisheries potential, especially for pelagic fish such as flying fish (Decapterus sp.) with the local name malalugis. Generally, fishermen in Bebalang Village process malalugis fish into salted fish. However, salted fish processing in Bebalang Village still needs to be improved due to a lack of infrastructure, technology, and inadequate knowledge. In addition, sanitation and hygiene during processing could be more optimal, affecting the quality and safety of processed products. This study aims to evaluate the quality of salted fish produced by fishermen in Bebalang Village. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Salted fish test parameters are proximate, salt level, total bacteria and total fungi. Based on the test results of Kampung Bebalang salted fish, the moisture content ranged from 37.31-41.23%; protein ranged from 46.82-50.13%; salt level ranged from 10.66-15.58%; ash content from 12.25-13.58%; total bacteria between 2.6-4.8×103 CFU/gram; and total fungi which ranged from 5.2-9.5×102 CFU/gram.

Abstract

Bulo Village is in South Tabukan, Sangihe Islands, North Sulawesi. One of the potential natural resources of Bulo Village that has yet to be utilized is mangrove leaves. Mangrove leaves can be used in processed food products, such as chips. This community service aims to transfer science and technology to increase the economic value of mangrove plants by diversifying food products in the form of mangrove leaf-based chips. This community service activity was carried out in several stages: 1). Location survey and mangrove species identification; 2). Formation of business groups; 3). training and mentoring in the production of KIPMANG-Mangrove Leaf Chips; 4). Education on simple business analysis of KIPMANG products. The identification results showed that the dominant type of mangrove, Rhizophora sp., grows in the Bulo Village. Kapitalaung recommended that the 12 Bulo community join the mangrove leaf chips business group. The business group can produce and package KIPMANG with original and balado variants. The business group also understands the principles of business analysis of KIPMANG products. This community service activity can increase the knowledge and skills of the Bulo community. It can also improve the economy of the coastal communities of Bulo Village through village-owned business groups.

Abstract

Dry noodles, commonly produced from wheat flour, have been associated with health issues, including obesity, when consumed in excess. Moreover, reliance on imported wheat flour requires local alternatives to enhance its acceptability within the community. This study aimed to evaluate the physical characteristics of dry noodles incorporating a blend of wheat flour, sago flour, and seagrape flour (Caulerpa racemosa). The study involved experimental treatment with varying amounts of added seagrape flour (0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 g). Additionally, the study evaluated the proximate composition of seagrape and sago flour was sourced from Sangihe Islands. The physical attributes analysed in the combined dry noodles included the moisture content, water absorption, cooking loss, and cooking time. Proximate analysis of seagrape flour revealed carbohydrate content of 47.83%, protein 19.78%, ash 17.83%, moisture 12.37%, and fat 2.19%. Sago flour had a proximate content of 87.45% carbohydrates, 11.7% moisture, 0.42% protein, 0.32% ash, and 0.11% fat. The moisture content of the combined dry noodles ranged from 6.83 to 7.83%, water absorption from 72.73 to 90.27%, cooking loss from 8.23 to 13.27%, and cooking time from 7.00 to 7.09 minutes. In conclusion, seagrape flour in the formulation influenced the water absorption and cooking loss of dry noodles prepared from wheat and sago flours. However, the combined dry noodles had no significant impact on the moisture content and cooking time.
