Abstract

Indication of the problem from this research is social interaction that cannot be separated from the communication process. Social interaction in the real world is reduced due to the presence of advanced technology, informational society and the Internet generation or the Net Generation. This generation tends to interact in cyberspace, so social interaction in real life is increasingly limited. From this background, the research aims to determine Net Generation among students of SMAN I Sukabumi City, social interaction of Net Generation, and how much influence Net Generation has on social interaction. This study uses an associative descriptive method with Rating Scale measurements and analysis using a continuum line. Meanwhile, to find out how big the correlation between the two variables, the researcher used the product moment correlation formula, the coefficient of determination and hypothesis testing. Meanwhile, for processing the data results, the application of Statistical Product and System Solution (SPSS) Statistics Version 14.0 is used. The sample in this study was 115 people from a total population of 1,720 people. The sampling technique used was random sampling. Based on the results of the analysis, the Net Generation of SMAN I students in Sukabumi City obtained an average value of 3.8 and was in the agree category. Social interaction in SMAN I Sukabumi students obtained an average score of 3.7 and entered the agree category. There is a positive and significant influence between Net Generation and Social Interaction. This is based on the results of the calculation of the Pearson product moment coefficient, the correlation value (837) is 0.837, which means that there is a very strong correlation. The coefficient of determination is 70% while the remaining 30% is the influence of other variables that are not included in the research title. Then to test the hypothesis, because t count > t table which is 16.47 > 1.981 then Hₒ is rejected. In conclusion, there is a positive and significant influence between Net Generation on Social Interaction in Students of SMAN I Sukabumi City.

Abstract

Organizational communication is one aspect that exists within the organization and talks about the transfer of information from a leader to subordinates, this is indicated by the existence of a communication flow consisting of vertical communication, horizontal communication, and diagonal communication, in order to achieve the goals of the organization it must be good communication carried out by employees so that the morale that is built will be higher. The work spirit that is built by all employees affects work productivity. The problem examined in this study is how the implementation of organizational communication flows is carried out by superiors to subordinates, subordinates to superiors, horizontal communication and diagonal communication occur, this is related to the four communication flows proposed by Ha-run (2008: 45) and various obstacles found in the implementation of organizational communication. The aim is to find out the implementation of the communication flow proposed by Harun. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. Based on the data obtained in the field, it shows that not all organizational communication delivery flows are not implemented properly, entirely, only two streams are mastered, namely vertical and horizontal communication, while diagonal communication flows in media channels cannot be seen to be used properly so that even when used the result is less effective and this has an impact on morale which should be high to be less than optimal.

Abstract

Every product or service company that competes in the marketing order is increasingly numerous and diverse, resulting in competition among companies to meet the desires of consumers and provide service satisfaction to consumers. One of the actions to provide satisfaction to consumers is to provide services for consumers preferably because in essence the purpose of the business is to make consumers satisfied. Persuasive communication can be used as a direction of where and how the survival of a company, this is because one of the supports for the progress of a company depends on the balance of internal and external communication of the company. The approach taken in this research is to use a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In arguing and showing evidence, an employee is required to have good intelligence. One of them is the intelligence of dealing with consumer complaints. Regarding the psychological attractiveness of an employee in customer relations, of course, it is important, such as verbal communication which is an attraction in handling customer complaints. verbal communication used by Company employees is good. In relation to the appeal of credibility in handling customer complaints at the Regional Drinking Water Company Tirta Bumi Wibawa Kota Sukabumi, it is clear and in accordance with the situation in the community, seen from the appearance and responses of customers who have made complaints to the head office and used as informants in this study.

Abstract

This research will discuss a film directed by Nadine Labaki, entitled Capernaum, because it managed to touch the emotions of the audience. This film received a standing ovation for fifteen minutes at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018 in France. The film Capernaum is one of the films that has caught the attention of the writer because it depicts the reality of the lives of refugees in Lebanon which are packaged from the perspective of children. This study uses a descriptive-analysis method with an objective approach. In this research, the writer used Burhan Nurgiyantoro's fiction assessment theory. Starting from describing the intrinsic elements including the theme, setting, plot, characters, and morals. Intrinsic elements will be applied in analyzing the social criticism contained in the film Capernaum. The purpose of this research is to know the intrinsic elements and to analyze the social criticism contained in Capernaum's film. As a result, there is social criticism to be conveyed regarding the government, family and society in the film Capernaum.

Abstract

According Susanto, 1982: 60 film is the delivery of messages through moving images, utilizing camera technology, color and sound. These elements are based on a plot that contains the message that the director wants to convey to the audience. The plot of this movie revolves around Ko Ching-teng, a very naughty and cheerful high school student who is more interested in playing around and than studying. His character changes when a new transfer student named Shen Chia-yi enters his class. Ching-teng is immediately smitten by Chia-yi's beauty and intelligence. The storyline in this movie is very similar to teenage romance stories. This research uses the semiotic theory of Roland Barthes. The data collection technique used by the author is to watch the original movie from beginning to end, while observing or paying attention to each scene, making observations related to the movie. This research uses qualitative research methodology using content analysis method.

Abstract

This Integrated C ommunity Service Program was carried out in Jetis Gayu Hamlet, Wringinputih Village, Borobudur District. The majority of the people here are traders or UMKM owner. The main problem faced by UMKM in this hamlet is that the product marketing has not been optimal. Most still rely on the traditional buying and selling process. After obtaining data through field observations, there are various facts related to the obstacles experienced by UMKM in Jetis Gayu Hamlet. Therefore, an UMKM outreach program was carried out, to educate and directly practice knowledge related to marketing strategies to UMKM. In addition, this socialization was carried out door-to-door, bearing in mind that the constraints experienced by each UMKM are different. By socializing the marketing strategy, it will have impact on increasing sales from UMKM in Jetis Gayu Hamlet. Keywords: devotion, UMKM, strategy, marketing

Abstract

Organizational communication is process of communication within formal and informal organizations in a more complex form. Organizational communication consists of vertical, horizontal and diagonal communication. In an organization, giving encouragement is included as a form of motivation that is carried out to increase the work enthusiasm of the board, so that it can achieve the goals and results desired by the organization. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The study of organizational communication flow at the Sukabumi branch of the Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) did not all go well. Only Horizontal and Diagonal communication flows run smoothly. Vertical communication flow (from superiors to subordinates and vice versa) is still not effective. This greatly affects the work ethic which decreases and is not optimal.

Abstract

The analysis of the journalistic code of ethics is an effort to observe something in depth about the standard norms that must be used as a reference for juornalists in acting, acting, and behaving when carrying out their profession as journalist in writing news. In this study, the researcher discusses whether the print media Radar Madura Pamekasan applies the journalistic code of ethics contained in Law No. 40 of 1999 in writing the March – December 2020 Edition of Covid-19 news and how to apply the journalistic code of ethics in writing Covid-19 news in the headlines of the daily newspaper Radar Madura Pamekasan. The result of this research is that Jawa Pos Radar Madura, Pamekasan bureau, applies the journalistic code of ethics contained in Law No. 40 of 1999 Article I states that Indonesian Journalists have the right to refuse to protect sources who do not want to know their identity or whereabouts, respect the provisions of the embarg, backround information, and off the record in accordance with the agreement. Various processes are carried out by the Jawa Pos Radar Madura print media so that the news can be published. The code of ethics is one of the main guidelines for Jawa Pos Radar Madura journalists, so that in writing the Covid-19 news, if you include your name or address, it will confirm the source or doctor in collecting data during coverage. If you include the address of the sub district village it is still common, so there are no problems in writing the news.

Abstract

This study describes the lack of communication between children and parents based on the results of a survey of male students at STISIP Widyapuri Mandiri Sukabumi. The purpose of this study was to identify aspects of Interpersonal Communication related to the relationship between boys and parents, focusing on openness, empathy, supportive attitude, positive attitude, and equality. A qualitative approach with phenomenological method was used, involving 6 informants: 4 male students from different study programs and 2 parents. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and recordings, and validated using triangulation. The results show that Interpersonal Communication between boys and parents is not optimal, especially in terms of openness and equality. However, empathy and positive attitudes in Interpersonal Communication are still maintained. This study illustrates that although some aspects of communication need improvement, there are positive elements in the interaction between boys and parents in STISIP Widyapuri Mandiri Sukabumi.

Abstract

Bolu Amor Sukabumi implemented Integrated Marketing Communication to increase brand awareness during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research describes Bolu Amor Sukabumi's marketing communication strategy in strengthening brand awareness. The concept of Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC) was used as the basis of this research, involving various marketing activities. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used, as well as purposive sampling for the selection of four main informants. The research revealed six elements of integrated marketing communication implemented by Bolu Amor Sukabumi. First, in the advertising aspect, Bolu Amor Sukabumi focuses on the use of posters, banners, and social media to reach the audience. Second, the Publicity and Public Relations aspect involves collaboration with the wider community, although publicity still needs to be improved. Third, Sales Promotion attracts customers through various attractive promotions. Fourth, Direct Marketing utilizes electronic shopping and practical payment systems. Fifth, Event and Experience involves sponsorship of government activities, schools, charity events, and community empowerment. Sixth, Online and Social Media Marketing involves platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, with a dedicated team producing unique content and attractive designs. In conclusion, Bolu Amor Sukabumi adopted IMC strategies with various approaches to strengthen brand awareness amidst the pandemic.
