Abstract

The researchers carried out the analysis was on news related to the three-term presidential discourse on the Instagram Tvonenews study 22 and 26 March 2021 using Van Dijk's critical discourse analysis model. Based on this, there are 2 research focuses that the researcher will do here. First, how is the text structure of the three-term Presidential discourse on Tvonenews Instagram, second, how is social cognition and social context in the three-term Presidential discourse on Tvonenews Instagram. This study uses a qualitative research approach. Meanwhile, the type of research is library research. This study discusses the text, social cognition and social context of Tvonenews' Instagram posts related to the three-term Presidential discourse using the theory of critical discourse analysis by Teun A. Van Dijk. The source of the data that the researcher obtained was through the process of documentation and observation from Tvonenews Instagram posts related to the three-term presidential discourse.

Abstract

In March 2020, Indonesia was shocked by a terrible virus, the Covid-19 pandemic. Until August, Covid-19 in Indonesia reached 165,887 including 7,169 deaths covering 34 provinces. Then the Covid-19 outbreak has an impact on the decline in the economic activities of MSMEs in Indonesia, especially Banjar City. The purpose of this research is to find out about how the role of the Regional Planning, Research, Development Agency (BAPPELITBANGDA) when formulating Technical Policies in the Field of Regional Development Research Planning in Banjar City and the factors that affect the economy in Banjar City caused by Covid-19 and improve economic development innovations in Banjar City. The people of Kota Banjar are unable to carry out their usual activities due to the appeal from the government which has set a policy for WFH (Work from Home) and Social Distancing. Therefore, BAPPELITBANGDA drafted an innovation that will be developed gradually which is expected to overcome the decline in the economy in Banjar City. This research uses direct observation techniques using the interview method, the researcher visits the place under study and the researcher obtains other sources through the official website of BAPPELITBANGDA as a source of research data that supports observation.

Abstract

This research by Siti Fatimah Azzahra, Communication Science study program of Putra Indonesia University Cianjur, which the research title is "Symbolic Meaning in BL Series Thailand for Fans (Case Study on BL Series Thailand Fan Students at Universitas Putra Indonesia Cianjur). BL Series Thailand or Boys Love Series Thailand, is an LGBTQ+ (homosexual) drama series played by actors with attractive visuals, which is an attraction to watch BL Series Thailand. BL Series Thailand became a hit in Indonesia, after the trend of airing the series 2gether: The series on social media. In BL Series Thailand fan interactions, there are verbal and non-verbal symbolic meanings. . This is in line with the theory of symbolic interaction, which explores the meanings of each verbal and non-verbal symbol in BL Series Thailand, which is within the scope of BL Series Thailand fan interaction (Anak Raikan/Raikantopeni). This research is a qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach, data collection through interviews, participatory observation, literature studies and documentation, and data validity by trianggulation. The results of this study are: words and sentences that are familiar among BL Series Thailand fans, the most popular BL Series titles, iconic scenes in the most popular BL series, the most popular BL fandom, the most popular BL couples, gestures in the BL Series Thailand, and pictures of objects that represent certain moments of a BL Series Thailand.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the political marketing strategy of Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar (AMIN) as Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates in the 2024 Presidential Election, focusing on the YouTube platform through the 4P marketing-mix approach by Niffenegger (1989). The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The research results show that the AMIN pair has strong support from a coalition of parties and non-parliamentary parties, and has a positive track record. The promotional strategy via YouTube has proven to be effective with personal channels that have a significant number of subscribers and the use of popular hashtags such as #aminajadulu. Despite limited campaign funds, AMIN succeeded in optimizing self-help support and establishing cooperation with prospective legislative members. In addition, AMIN's campaign locations and targets are in accordance with the characteristics of voters in the 2024 presidential election, especially the Millennial and Gen Z generations. Through creative portals such as https://gagasankita .id/home and the Desak Anies and Slepet Imin programs, AMIN has succeeded in engaging with various segments of society. This research provides an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness of political marketing strategies via the YouTube platform, describes political support, and highlights success in accessing the Millennial and Gen Z generations.

Abstract

This study employs a descriptive-comparative method to compare two main strategies, namely Digital PR and Digital Marketing, implemented in the environment of Universitas Terbuka Semarang. Data were collected through interviews with university staff involved in the implementation of both strategies, document analysis, and observation of university practices. The Digital PR strategy at UT Semarang focuses on building a positive image through social media, online news platforms, and blogs, while the Digital Marketing strategy emphasizes paid advertising, paid social media, and email campaigns to prospective students. The integration of both strategies was then evaluated to determine the resulting outcomes, revealing that the combined strategies generated a consistent and robust narrative that enhanced the conversion of prospective students into new students. Despite positive outcomes, the study identified challenges such as the expansion of resources and workforce needed to execute effective digital campaigns. The research subjects were twelfth-grade students at SMA N 1 Ungaran who were active on social media with over 1,000 followers, selected using purposive sampling techniques. Three students were chosen as research subjects because they were considered potential influencers in the Ungaran area.

Abstract

In Indonesia, English pronunciation for students is very difficult, because the differences between Indonesian and other regional languages do not exist in English, and some vocal and consonant sounds are very different. There are many difficulties for regional students who have to generalise with English. Because it must be adjusted to Indonesian first. Various supporting factors in the delivery of English are very important, both in the environment, and family. The role of a mother as a teacher in daily life is very instrumental. Structural differences can cause errors in learning a foreign language, learners are usually distracted by the first language or mother tongue, so that it can cause sound interference to the language being studied.

Abstract

One of the cities in West Java province that attracts tourists to visit is Sukabumi City. Sukabumi City is known as a city with cold weather and has a number of tours that can be visited such as historical tourism and culinary tourism. Judging from the existing infrastructure, the city has experienced significant development in the tourism sector. This can be seen from the number of hotels, tourism destinations and also restaurants both long established and recently established.   In the hospitality business, competition is unavoidable. To anticipate increasingly fierce competition, the hospitality industry must be able to focus more on quality in several ways such as in the use of technology that is efficient, productive, and able to guarantee the superior quality of its products. In addition, hotel marketing can also carry out strategies that exist in marketing communications. Things that need to be considered in marketing communications include market segmentation, market positioning, market entry strategies, timing strategies, and marketing mix strategies. There are several elements in the marketing mix strategy, namely product, place, price, and promotion. Where these promotional activities can be carried out through integrated marketing communication.

Abstract

Komunikasi Organisasi merupakan hal pokok yang mampu memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap kemajuan organisasi. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, komunikasi organisasi seharusnya dipergunakan sebaik mungkin dalam menata segala bentuk tindakan organisasi yang lebih produktif. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat pada pelaksanaan komunikasi organisasi di Dinas koperasi Usaha, Kecil dan Menengah Kabupaten Sukabumi yang merupakan salah satu organisasi pelayanan umum yang berfokus pada pembangunan ekonomi melalui Usaha Kecil Menengah (UKM) di wilayah Kabupaten Sukabumi. Melalui observasi yang dilakukan di Dinas tersebut, Peneliti menemukan bahwa kurangnya komuniaksi ke bawah mengenai pengarahan/instruksi tugas, kurangnya penjelasan pesan dari atasan dan jarang sekali adanya apresiasi dari pimpinan. Selain itu kurangnya komunikasi ke atas dan komunikasi horizontal yang dilaksanakan oleh para anggota organisasi. Maka untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut peneliti melakukan penelitian mengenai komunikasi organisasi di Dinas Koperasi Usaha, Kecil dan Menengah Kabupaten Sukabumi menggunakan teori yang yang di gagas oleh Arni (2017) menggenai arah aliran informasi dalam komunikasi organisasi yang meliputi komunikasi ke bawah, komunikasi ke atas, dan komunikasi horizontal. Dalam pelaksanaan komunikasi organisasi di Dinas tersebut hanya dua arah saja yang berjalan cukup baik, yaitu komunikasi ke atas dan komunikasi horizontal. Sedangkan komunikasi ke bawah belum terlaksana dengan baik, sehingga produktivitas kerja organisasi menjadi kurang efektif. Padahal yang menentukan keberhasil tujuan dari organisasi adalah penyampaian informasi dari pimpinan kepada bawahan mengenai tugas-tugas yang berkaitan dengan program kerja dan bagaimana melakukannya.

Abstract

This research aims to see how Malaysian Malay identity politics and multiculturalism appear in the film "Upin & Ipin".  The method uses a qualitative approach with content analysis as the main method. Data was obtained through in-depth observation of the narrative, characters and cultural symbols that appear in the film. The results of the research show that Malaysian Malay identity politics in the film Upin-ipin are Malay language, Malay culture, Islam, Malaysian Malay genealogy. Multiculturalism in the film Upin and Ipin is a combination of Malaysian Malay culture, Indian culture, Chinese culture, Indonesian culture. Malaysian Malay identity politics and multiculturalism exist in educational institutions in Malaysia which introduce the values ​​of tolerance and respect for cultural diversity. This film successfully promotes a message of unity and harmony through positive representations of the various Malaysian Malay ethnic identities and other ethnic cultures, such as Malays, Chinese and Indians, who live side by side in Malaysia.

Abstract

This research analyzes the representation of identity politics and multiculturalism in the film Laskar Pelangi which is adapted from the novel by Andrea Hirata. Using film analysis and literature research, this research identifies themes of identity politics and multiculturalism expressed in the film's narrative, dialogue and imagery. The research results show that identity politics in the film Laskar Pelangi is reflected through ethnic and religious diversity, unity in diversity, local Malay identity, the role of education as a unifying tool, economic and social disparities, as well as the influence of colonial and local history. Multiculturalism is described through ethnic diversity, friendship across identities, the use of diverse languages and dialects, diversity of celebrations and traditions, equality in education, tolerance of teachers, economic and social interactions, and diversity of family dynamics. This film provides a positive picture of how different identities can unite and become a driving force in achieving common goals through education and solidarity. Overall, Laskar Pelangi shows the importance of building an inclusive and dynamic society by respecting cultural diversity.
