Abstract

The slope and drainage reinforcement project on the Paksebali–Selat Provincial Road section involves a relatively high potential for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) risks due to excavation works, concrete casting, the use of heavy equipment, and hazardous working environment conditions. This study aims to identify extreme and high risks that may lead to work accidents and to determine appropriate OHS risk control measures for the project. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach, with data collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. Risk assessment was conducted based on the AS/NZS 4360 standard by multiplying the probability and severity levels, whereas risk control was analyzed using the Plan–Do–Check–Act (PDCA) cycle approach. The results indicated that the risks identified in this project fell into the extreme and high-risk categories, particularly in excavation works, road shoulder concrete casting, and heavy equipment mobilization. Potential hazards included landslides, being struck by equipment, and accidents caused by improper work methods. Risk control measures were implemented through improvements in work methods, enforcement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage, enhanced supervision, installation of safety signs, and the regular implementation of training and safety meetings. The application of appropriate risk control measures is expected to minimize workplace accidents and improve overall project safety performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the role of Islamic spirituality in addressing depression, particularly among young people, through the practices of dhikr (remembrance of God), prayer, supplication, trust (tawakal), patience, and consent (privacy), which effectively reduce depressive symptoms. This research methodology uses a literature review with a descriptive analysis approach to analyze Islamic spiritual practices and their effectiveness in addressing depression among adolescents. Data were obtained from scientific journals, books, and academic publications that discussed the relationship between Islamic spirituality and mental health. The results of this literature review indicate that the higher a person's level of Islamic spirituality, the better their psychological well-being, including resilience to depression. Islamic psychology makes a vertical relationship with Allah SWT the primary foundation for protecting mental health, in line with Surah Ar-Ra'd/13:28, which states that only by remembering Allah can the heart be at peace. Therefore, the practice of dhikr provides peace of mind and soul, and prevents symptoms of depression.

Abstract

Concentration is a crucial cognitive skill that enables individuals to maintain attention, process information effectively, and perform optionally on academic or psychological tasks. One environmental factor that can influence concentration is music, particularly its genre and tempo. Different genres of music elicit varying emotional and physiological responses, which may either enhance or disrupt focus. This study aims to examine the influence of music genres specifically EDM music, Jazz music, and a no-music condition on students’ concentration levels during the Stroop Color and Word Test (SCWT) among psychology students of Al Azhar University Indonesia. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with three groups: (1) an EDM music group featuring fast beats and high energy a music group characterized by moderate tempo and relaxing rhythm, (2) a Jazz music group characterized by moderate tempo and relaxing rhythm, and (3) a control group that performed the test in silence. Participants were 30 students from grade 11, divided equally across the three conditions. Data collected from the SCWT will be analyzed using One-Way ANOVA to determine whether there are significant differences in concentration among the groups. It is hypothesized that students exposed to jazz music will demonstrate higher levels of concentration compared to those exposed to EDM music, due to the calming and structured nature of jazz that supports attentional stability. In contrast, EDM music, characterized by rapid tempo and high arousal, is expected to reduce focus due to overstimulation. The control group, tested in silence, is predicted to show moderate concentration levels between the two experimental conditions. This study is expected to provide empirical evidence on how different music genres can influence students’ cognitive performance and contribute to educational strategies that support optimal learning environments.

Abstract

Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) is a flagship program promoted by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during the 2024 General Election campaign. In its implementation, the program has faced numerous challenges, one of which is the high number of food poisoning cases among students after consuming the MBG menu. The media reported on the poisoning case, including The Jakarta Post. News stories do not reflect reality but construct it. This study investigates the discourse of toxic Free Nutritious Meals constructed by The Jakarta Post using Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis approach. The data consisted of four online news articles obtained from thejakartapost.com, published at four different times. The news texts were analyzed through textual, social, and social cognition analyses, as proposed by Van Dijk. The findings reveal that The Jakarta Post constructs food poisoning cases as incidents that require serious attention from both the public and the government. However, at the same time, the newspaper also builds a discourse portraying the government as having responded to the cases promptly and the MBG program as generally well implemented.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a systematic or analytical web-based integrated inventory information system for PT. Asia Persada Nusantara, analytical used by PIECES framework. Based on a case-study approach, both with the SDLC methodology with a prototyping model, the requisite data were acquired by a complete review of documents and by conducting interviews with stakeholders. The Object Oriented Tool Development was modeled using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) to define the functional and non-functional requirements. The resultant design captures role-based authentication, stock reservation systems, processing of goods receipts including the processing of delivery notes, keeping of discrepancies, payment and reconciliation systems, and role-based audit trails as a way of enforcing operational control. The shared schema of the relational database using ERD supports the atomic transactions of the key turbines (reservation, transaction creation, commitment) and helps to reduce the risk of overselling and information inconsistency. It is proposed that a staged implementation plan (Minimum Viable Product) should be used with an initial focus on real-time inventory and reservation logic to achieve more immediate operations payoffs. The indicators of future improvement in stock accuracy and process efficiency are stated by impact assessment, whereas the real benefits depend on piloting testing, initial data quality, and organizational readiness. This research provides a technical map that is suitable for developing prototypes and validating them empirically.

Abstract

The development of tourism villages in Indonesia is still dominated by programmatic and top-down approaches, which often fail to build the independence and sustainability of village communities. This study aims to formulate a community empowerment model through Integrative Social Capacitation in the development of the Bissoloro Tourism Village, Gowa Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, through data collection techniques in the form of participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies involving community actors, tourism village managers, village governments, and related stakeholders. The results show that the reconstruction of sustainable tourism villages is a long-term social process involving five main stages: (1) community social mapping, (2) construction of collective identity narratives based on local potential, (3) strengthening community capacity, (4) participatory institutionalization through village institutions, and (5) transformation of community meaning towards tourism villages. This process positions the community as the main actor who not only participates technically, but is also able to interpret and manage local potential reflectively and sustainably. This study recommends the Integrative Social Capacitation approach as a community empowerment strategy that connects social, cultural, economic, and institutional dimensions within a cross-sectoral and multi-actor collaboration framework. This model contributes to the development of rural sociological studies by offering a conceptual framework for community empowerment that is adaptive and oriented towards the sustainability of tourist villages.

Abstract

Based on the disparities in the implementation of activities in Quality Family Village (Kampung KB) in each region, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Kampung KB program in Banjarbaru City using a qualitative descriptive approach and comparative methodology. The object of this study is the effectiveness in the management of the Quality Family Village program, while the subject of this study is the manager responsible for the management of the Kampung KB. The results of the study reveal several factors that hinder the implementation of the Kampung KB program, thereby impacting its effectiveness. The KB Village in Guntung Manggis is one of the best Kampung KB, with all Working Groups (POKJA) actively providing guidance. This is despite limited funds and the managers' approach to the community. However, the managers have prioritized activities to ensure they remain effective and have a positive impact on the community, build bonds, and record and listen to the community's complaints and needs in terms of guidance. Meanwhile, Kampung KB Sungai Tiung is still trying to make its activities more effective by minimizing obstacles, particularly the lack of coordination between stakeholders in managing Kampung KB. Furthermore, weak community participation in Kampung KB activities remains an issue that continues to be discussed between managers and the community in an effort to improve the effectiveness of Kampung KB.

Abstract

Mathematical competence is closely related to daily problem-solving activities, especially those involving basic numerical operations. Nevertheless, many children still encounter difficulties in mastering arithmetic concepts, mainly because mathematics is often perceived as abstract and is delivered through less interactive learning methods. This study examines the impact of the Jarimatika learning method on improving addition and subtraction skills among students at TPQ Ied Salim Al-Anzi. A quantitative research design was applied, specifically a pre-experimental model using a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The research subjects consisted of all 13 learners at the TPQ, selected through a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted by administering arithmetic tests before and after the application of the Jarimatika method. The hypothesis proposed that there would be a meaningful difference in students’ mathematical performance before and after the intervention. The results revealed a notable increase in the average score, from 72.31 on the pre-test to 94.62 on the post-test. Further analysis using a Paired Sample t-test yielded a t-value of –3.277 with a significance value of 0.007 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant improvement. These findings suggest that the Jarimatika method effectively enhances basic arithmetic skills and can serve as an engaging and practical instructional strategy for elementary mathematics learning.
