Abstract

Cyber bullying in close-contact environments, especially schools, is another huge social problem that has a deep impact on victims psychologically and mentally. Recent developments in deep learning and remote monitoring technologies offer the potential to improve real-time detection and intervention strategies. In this work, we explore the effectiveness of remote deep neural networks (DNNs) for classifying and identifying trigger events in close-contact bullying events. Using spatial-temporal video data and multimodal sensor inputs, we present a hierarchical DNN framework that fuses real-time audio, video, and physiological signals to accurately identify bullying events. In our proposed system, we use transfer learning using pre-trained vision transformers (ViTs) and convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to extract the key visual features, while Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) networks analyze the speech and contextual cues. We develop a hierarchical user model to classify events into verbal, physical, and psychological bullying. The deployed system on edge devices, with cloud-assisted inference, yields real-time low-latency detection.

Abstract

Food is an integral part of a region's culture, reflecting the history, traditions, and values of the local community. Food serves as a communication medium. This study examines the communication experience of Javanese women through the communication on Saparan Bekakak, a noble tradition of Indonesia. This study uses the theory of symbolic interactionism to explore communication through food carried out by Javanese women in the Saparan Bekakak tradition. A constructivist paradigm and a qualitative research design are used in this study. The subjects in this study consisted of javaneese woman as the the perpetrator of the Saparan Bekakak tradition. Interviews, observations, and documentation are the collection data technique used in this research. Data analysis in the study consists of several steps (i.e., data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn). This study finds that: 1). The Saparan Bekakak tradition is a significant communication medium for Javanese women to strengthen social and cultural ties. Through the process of preparing and distributing traditional food, women play an active role in preserving cultural values and building a close-knit community, 2) The practice of food communication in the Saparan Bekakak tradition allows Javanese women to express their local identity and wisdom. This is not only a cooking activity, but also a space for the transmission of knowledge between generations and the social empowerment of women in the context of Javanese culture. This research contributes theoretically to the development of the concept of food communication as a complex socio-cultural mechanism, which goes beyond nutritional functions and reveals the strategic role of food in the empowerment of identity and gender relations in the context of local culture.

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel Genetic Algorithm (GA)-based code obfuscation technique using Abstract Syntax Trees (ASTs) to enhance software security. The method aims to protect proprietary logic from reverse engineering by generating diverse obfuscated code variants. It applies variable renaming, dead code insertion, and control flow changes within a GA framework, optimized for interpreted languages like Python. A multi-objective fitness function evaluates both cyclomatic complexity and execution time to balance obfuscation strength and performance. Experimental results show that the technique significantly increases code complexity while preserving functionality. The approach demonstrates strong potential for securing software against unauthorized analysis, offering an effective defense through intelligent, language-aware code transformation.

Abstract

Patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus with complications such as stroke usually have difficulty eating so they are given enteral formula (FRS) or commercial formula (FK) to control blood glucose levels and avoid excessive weight loss. To determine the effect of enteral foods FRS and FK on blood glucose levels and body weight of type 2 DM patients at Tarakan Hospital. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a pre post test control group design using a sample of 40 patients who were divided into 2 groups. The control group was given FRS enteral food and the treatment group was given FK enteral food. The pretest data were obtained when the patient was admitted to the hospital and the posttest data were obtained after the patient had consumed enteral food for seven days. The results of the Wilcoxon and Dependent T-test found significant differences in blood glucose levels before and after consuming FRS enteral foods (p = 0.0001) and FK (p = 0.0001), the Mann-Whitney test results showed no. differences in blood glucose levels after ingestion of FRS and FK enteral foods (p = 0.117). Whereas for body weight before and after consuming enteral food FRS and FK, there was no significant difference (p = 0.401) (p = 0.773). Independent T-test results showed no difference in body weight after consumption of FRS and FK enteral foods (p = 0.871). FRS and FK enteral foods can affect the increase of blood glucose levels to normal blood glucose levels. However, after receiving FRS or FK enteral food there was no change in body weight.
