Abstract

This study discusses the role of human beings in the perspective of Islamic educational philosophy with a qualitative approach to literature study. Based on a literature review, the main findings show that education in Islam has a holistic goal, which includes intellectual, moral, and spiritual development. Al-Farabi and Al-Ghazali's thought emphasizes the importance of balancing worldly and ukhrawi knowledge, as well as moral development as an integral part of education. The study also identifies the relevance of classical thought in the context of modern education and evaluates how these theories can be applied in current Islamic educational practices. The implications of this research include the application of Islamic educational philosophy to form individuals who are not only intelligent, but also have noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of psychological contract fulfillment in mediating the influence of achievement motivation and organizational commitment on employee performance. Data were obtained using a questionnaire distributed to respondents, then analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results showed that achievement motivation had a direct effect on employee performance, psychological contract fulfillment was proven to mediate the effect of organizational commitment on employee performance, and organizational commitment had an effect on psychological contract fulfillment. The managerial implication of this study is that leaders need to provide employees with opportunities to excel, because achievement motivation contributes to producing better performance.

Abstract

The human factor proves to be a considerable weakness in the banking security infrastructure even when advanced cybersecurity technologies are being implemented by various banks. Breaches involving employees have been a huge factor in bank cybersecurity issues this research, look at the impact of employees in bank security, and how breaches have an insidious human behavior element. It notes risks like phishing attacks, negligence and intentional insider threats and heavy strategies need to respond to these risks. The research shows employing targeted awareness programs, continuous training, and behavioural analytics bases can help organizations reduce such humanrelated vulnerabilities through a combination of case studies, employee surveys and expert consultations. It also addresses the adoption of Zero Trust Architecture and continuous monitoring of activities to detect and prevent insider threats. Fostering employee awareness and building a culture of security will protect banks from both outside and inside cybersecurity threats. It helps derive actionable findings to create a resilient humancentric cybersecurity structure in the banking domain.

Abstract

Generation Z with its unique characteristics has attracted much attention due to its suboptimal performance resilience. The rise in turnover intention among generation Z needs to be a concern. This study aims to determine the influence of learning agility and psychological capital factors on turnover intention among generation Z. The research employs a quantitative approach with correlational design, utilizing convenience sampling technique to collect data from 454 generation Z employees (70% female, 30% male) across various industrial sectors in Indonesia. Data collection was conducted through online surveys using three validated instruments: PCQ-24 to measure Psychology Capital, De Meuse's Learning Agility scale, and Mobley's Turnover Intention scale. Data analysis using JASP 0.19.0.0 software revealed that Psychology Capital and Learning Agility collectively explain 63.5% of variance in Turnover Intention (R² = 0.635, p < 0.001). Learning Agility emerged as the dominant predictor, contributing 61.3% to Turnover Intention variance, while Psychology Capital showed minimal contribution of 0.5%. These findings indicate that adaptability and learning capabilities significantly influence generation Z employees' intention to leave their jobs.

Abstract

Strategic communication and focused capacity-building initiatives are essential for collaborative progress in underrepresented areas. This research investigates the function of strategic communication in promoting cooperation and augmenting the entrepreneurial capabilities of women heads of households (PEKKA) in Samarinda, Indonesia, using the MomPreneurs program. The project tackles critical obstacles, such as restricted access to technology, insufficient digital literacy, and ineffective marketing techniques. The program employs a participative method to include technical support, digital marketing training, and mentorship for the development of entrepreneurial abilities. Study indicates that strategic communication methods, including storytelling and peer networking, significantly improve information dissemination and collaborative problem-solving among participants. Capacity-building initiatives, including practical training and digital marketing seminars, led to a 20-35% enhancement in productivity and income among participant groups. Moreover, promoting cooperation via group-oriented business endeavors reinforced community links and elevated individual drive. This study emphasizes the significant effect of integrating strategic communication with focused skill development to empower underprivileged women. The results enhance the discussion on social entrepreneurship and community empowerment by illustrating how communication-focused projects may stimulate sustained economic development. The study highlights the need for scalable solutions that include communication tactics and capacity-building to tackle structural inequities in emerging countries.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of stock returns and risks on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) scores in emerging Asian markets during the COVID-19 pandemic. Utilizing panel data from Refinitiv Eikon for March 2019 to March 2022, this research investigates how returns, risks, and control variables such as Excess Market Return, SMB, HML, and Liquidity influence ESG scores. The findings reveal that returns and risks exhibit differential impacts on ESG scores, with social factors emerging as the most influential ESG component. These results highlight the nuanced role of financial performance in driving ESG metrics during crises, particularly in less-developed markets.

Abstract

Detecting malicious or adversarial images, for example in security and surveillance systems, is an important problem in computer vision. These results highlight the effectiveness of ViTs when compared to CNNs when confronting hostile images. However, CNNs have stiff competition from ViTs and have been the go-to architecture for image classification and object detection for many years, due to the existence of spatial hierarchies in images. Using benchmark datasets containing a combination of adversarial and clean images, this study compares the ability of both models to (i) detect hostile images, (ii) generalize to unseen dataset, and (iii) the overall computational efficiency of both models. While ViTs can be even more computationally expensive than incurred with task3 input, we demonstrate that, in fact, our architecture generalizes truncation -- both in power and action -- exceptionally well and can simply outperform performance-per-dollar in more robust pattern recognition tasks, especially under adversarial perturbations. In contrast, CNNs are faster to inference and less likely to overfit on small data. This finding informed decisions showing trade-offs between the two architectures, including a potential path for hybrid approaches and future enhancements in the adversarial defense against hostile image detection.

Abstract

Agentic AI can also mean the speeding up of new levels of surveillance systems the size of which has never been encountered before which grants automation decision making and realtime responses. Examples of stateful models of an agent are agentic AI, where an agentic AI isn't just a static function, but has capabilities to reason and learn with reference to the environment and goals. The paper explores the possible implications of embedding Agentic AI in surveillance systems, demonstrating how it could revolutionize monitoring, identification of threats, and response systems. Agentic AI: how this would take surveillance to a whole new levelThis is better than never breaking your objectivity at all, but leaves you to micromanage thousands of processes each requiring situational analysis and prediction in real time to create data packets, imploding the challenges of complex environments into just a number/sensible statistic. Yet, the application of Agentic AI for surveillance raises several ethical, legal, and social issues, such as about privacy, accountability, and the risk of misuse. It also outlines challenges to transparency, neutrality and oversight of Agentic AI systems (in their design and deployment), and emphasises the need for powerful regulatory frameworks able to confront risk. Moving forward the ability of Agentic AI to enhance surveillance technologies is significant, but the implementation of such a technology must be implemented correctly while remaining at or below the existing moral paradigms of our society and protecting the fundamental human rights of the individual.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of changes in the Merdeka Curriculum material and interactive learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on students' excellence achievement and character. The objective is to explore how these educational shifts contribute to enhancing students' academic performance and personal development. The research was conducted through surveys and data analysis, focusing on students' responses and performance in interactive learning environments. The study was carried out over six months, with the data collected from 95 students. The results show a positive influence of the Merdeka Curriculum and interactive learning on students' achievements and character development, suggesting that these approaches foster greater academic success and personal growth. This research offers implications for improving future educational practices.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low numeracy skills of students in Medan City, which reached only 50% in 2020 and increased to 62% in 2024. One contributing factor is the lack of variety in teaching methods and unengaging learning media, highlighting the need for innovative approaches to enhance students' numeracy skills. This study aims to analyze the impact of innovative teaching methods, such as environment-based gamification, digital educational games, and place value board media, on elementary school students' numeracy abilities. Using a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design, this research involved 105 first and fifth-grade students from several elementary schools in Medan City. The findings indicate that innovative methods significantly improved students’ numeracy skills. At UPT SD Negeri 064026 Medan Tuntungan, the application of place value board media increased the post-test scores of Class V-A from 44.17 to 78.5 and Class V-B from 42.97 to 87.4 (t-value 2.63 > t-table 1.68). At UPT SDN 060972 Simalingkar B, digital educational games raised the experimental class score from 32 to 89.09 (t-value 2.97 > t-table 2.021). Meanwhile, in Class I of UPT SD Negeri 064026, the environment-based gamification method increased Class 1A’s score from 57 to 78.5 and Class 1B’s score from 44 to 88.25 (t-value 2.09 > t-table 2.04). Thus, innovative teaching methods significantly impact the improvement of elementary students’ numeracy skills in Medan City.
