Abstract

The development and utilization of telematics in the regions is still far from ideal conditions to support e-government policies. This is indicated by the developing conditions that: (1) in general, the people and bureaucracy in the regions still do not understand the importance of e-government programs as a support in improving and facilitating public services. (2) In general, the public, including offices, agencies, agencies and other institutions in the region, have not been able to operate computers as computers function as information technology. (3) Computer equipment is still considered expensive and is not yet needed as a means of information and communication. Bureaucrats and local governments do not have a mature level of readiness to accept e-government policy programs, both in the form of formal legality readiness in the form of legal instruments, human resource readiness, budget readiness, infrastructure readiness and organizational culture readiness. In the model of e-government policy in the regions, the formulation of the model must be built based on the clarity of the vision and mission of the local government to build e-government based on public interests, social conditions and community characteristics. In addition, in formulating models for e- government policies in the regions, it is also necessary to consider economic rationality and bureaucratic rationality

Abstract

Mass media are tools and facilities that have an important role in disseminating information to readers, so the media must be able to present the message or news that readers want. This research aims to determine the pattern of writing tourism features in Indonesia using a social cognition and social context analysis approach in digital media tourism news KRJOGJA.com and Republika.co.id. The method used in the research collaborates a qualitative research approach with Van Djik's critical discourse analysis method which consists of social cognition and social analysis, and adopts Zong Dang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki's framing for aspects of the devices and units observed. The results of the research show that the pattern of writing Indonesian tourism features uses promotive, informative, provocative, persuasive sentences and refers to places and regional potential, always has an important event related to tourism as a background and shows details of things that stand out, uses interesting images and is in accordance with the theme of the discourse. . Using social cognition analysis, tourism feature writers include their own experiences regarding the culture they believe in to describe tourist destinations. By analyzing the social context, tourism feature writing adapts to the language use of readers who are members of the information society.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how social entrepreneurship can be an effective strategy in building a sustainable business. With increasing awareness of social and environmental issues, social entrepreneurship offers an approach that integrates social goals with economic profits. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In this research, it was found that social entrepreneurship plays an important role in overcoming global challenges such as climate change, social inequality and poverty. Through an innovative and sustainable community-based approach, social entrepreneurship is able to offer effective solutions to these problems. Social entrepreneurship is successful thanks to several key factors: a clear vision and mission, innovation and creativity, a sustainable business model, strong partnerships, and a focus on social impact. Managerial and leadership skills, along with the ability to adapt and be resilient, also contribute to the effectiveness and success of implementation. The combination of these factors allows social entrepreneurship to create positive and sustainable social impact.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is known as a leadership style that is able to inspire, motivate and facilitate positive change in an organization. Transformational leadership focuses on the leader's ability to encourage innovation, build an adaptive organizational culture, and improve team performance . Therefore, this research aims to analyze the role of transformational leadership in implementing organizational strategy. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research results show that transformational leadership is very important in implementing organizational strategy because it motivates and inspires teams to adapt and innovate. Transformational leaders create a strong vision, encourage creativity, and build trust, so that organizational strategies are not just plans on paper, but are also implemented in daily practice. With a focus on individual development and team empowerment , this leadership style improves motivation, communication, and company performance, supports efficiency, innovation, and a positive work culture, and helps achieve long-term goals and organizational sustainability amidst market changes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of gamification on the competitive advantage and commercial performance of Shopee vendors. This study utilized a quantitative approach. One hundred Shopee vendors who use gamification techniques to improve their overall business performance and competitive advantage are the research sample. The sampling procedure used a non-probability sampling approach combined with purposive sampling techniques. In this study, the data collected through the distribution of Google Form questionnaires were processed and assessed using the PLS-SEM tool. The first finding, from this study, shows that gamification increases competitive advantage in the Shopee app. The second finding, from this study shows that gamification improves company performance in the Shopee app. The last finding, from this study shows that that gamification increases competitive advantage through company performance in the Shopee app.

Abstract

Evaluating the performance of hospitals and the bed use using the efficiency indicators of hospitals can help and properly improve an accurate understanding of the set plans. This study aimed to identify factors and compare the performance efficiency towards the use of beds at West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Public Hospital, by employing the Pabon Lasso model before and during the Covid-19 pandemic in West Nusa Tenggara. This study is categorized as descriptive study using the qualitative approach in which the data were collected retrospectively from 2018 to 2022. There were three main indicators, namely bed occupancy rate, bed turnover rate, and the average length of stay. The excel software and Pabon Lasso model were used for data analysis. This research concludes that hospital performance and use of hospital beds were inefficient when the Covid-19 pandemic broke out compared to before the pandemic. Every effort should be made to identify and correct the factors contributing to poor efficiency conditions during the year. This analysis can be a guide for planning to increase hospital efficiency and disaster preparedness in the event of a third wave of Covid-19 or other possible pandemics.

Abstract

Every new academic year, universities conduct new student admissions as a primary activity. However, at the School of Management Informatics and Computer (STMIK) Mercusuar, this process still relies on Google Forms, which is less efficient and lacks flexibility. This study aims to design a new student admission information system by utilizing the Laravel framework and implementing the Scrum methodology. The system is expected to facilitate access to new student admission information, streamline the registration process, and ease the verification of documents and selection of prospective students. The data collection techniques used in this research include qualitative research methodologies, such as observation, interviews, and literature studies. Scrum is employed in the software development process, offering flexibility and adaptability. The development of this information system is intended to simplify the new student admission process for applicants and to assist the admissions officers in managing registration, document verification, and the selection of prospective students. The use of the Laravel framework and the implementation of the Scrum methodology also contribute to creating a reliable and efficient information system. Consequently, this information system is expected to improve the quality and success of new student admissions at STMIK Mercusuar.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe the learning outcomes of students using the Teams Games Tournament method with the Snakes and Ladders media, and describe the learning activities of students using the Teams Games Tournament method with the Snakes and Ladders media. This research employs a qualitative approach with classroom action research. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation. The findings of this study indicate that the application of the Teams Games Tournament method using the Snakes and Ladders media has a positive impact on improving student learning outcomes, as evidenced by 32 out of 40 students, or 82.50%, achieving the minimum score. This positive increase in activity occurred after implementing the cooperative learning method Teams Games Tournament using the Snakes and Ladders media.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of service quality on public satisfaction in obtaining a Certificate of Inability (SKTM) at Bintara Subdistrict, West Bekasi. A quantitative approach was employed, collecting data from 191 respondents who had previously applied for an SKTM. The results revealed that service quality significantly influenced public satisfaction. Specifically, the dimensions of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy were found to have a positive correlation with satisfaction. However, the study also identified challenges such as low public awareness, the absence of specific regulations regarding sanctions, and a lack of data verification by community leaders. These findings highlight the importance of improving service quality, particularly in terms of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, to enhance public satisfaction with SKTM services. The study recommends strengthening the implementation of standard operating procedures, improving data accuracy, and increasing public awareness to address the identified challenges. Ultimately, these recommendations can contribute to a more efficient and effective public service delivery system at the subdistrict level.

Abstract

In the digital age, social media is becoming an important platform for marketing, but a key challenge is how to differentiate brands in a saturated market. Brand storytelling emerges as a potential solution to build strong emotional connections with consumers and increase brand awareness. This research aims to explore the role of brand storytelling in increasing brand awareness on social media platforms through an explorative case study on MSME Kopi Nusantara. Qualitative methods were used with in-depth interviews, social media content analysis, participatory observation, and consumer surveys. The results showed that elements of authentic narrative, emotional engagement, consistency, and the use of strong visuals play an important role in the effectiveness of brand storytelling. Consumers respond positively to evocative and authentic stories, which increases brand awareness and loyalty. This study provides important insights for other MSMEs to adopt effective brand storytelling strategies on social media. Practical recommendations are provided to optimize key elements in brand narratives to achieve better marketing outcomes.
