Sintaks: Jurnal Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia is a peer-reviewed journal by Medan Resource Center. Abstract

This study aims to describe the editorial of “Citayam Fashion Week Young People, Local Pride Ambassadors as seen from the critical discourse theory of Teun A.Van Dijk in newspapers. The method used is descriptive method. The results obtained in this study are that there are 3 macro structures, namely 1 delection, 1 selection, 1 integration or construction. The title also has 2 superstructures consisting of titles, leads and story schemes consisting of situations and comments. The results of this study also have a micro structure (semantics) which consists of the background. details, intentions, and presuppositions. Microstructure II (syntax) consists of active and passive sentences, the use of distinguishing and contrasting coherence, and third person plural pronouns. Microstructure III (stylistic) consists of foreign language vocabulary that is currently widely used, microstructure IV (rhetorical) in this heading consists of graphics, metaphors, and expressions. This research is expected to be a reference for future researchers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe in depth the acquisition of the Palembang Malay language, especiallythe morphosyntactic acquisition of children aged two years and eight months. Data analysis technique used in this study was the agih and matching method. The agih method was used to describe the morphosyntactic elements produced by the research participants. Furthermore, the equivalent method is used to analyze things that are out of the language focus. Therefore, the most suitable technique to use was the referential sorting technique. Thistechnique was used to see the relationship between the acquisition of Palembang Malay morphosyntax with the use of language at home, community, and school environment. The results showed that the acquisition of Palembang Malay morphosyntax in children aged two years and eight months developed very rapidly. Children are able to master and understand the meaning of the words and sentences they produce, even if those words were only in the form of simple sentences. Monomorphemic and polymorphemic forms have been used and mastered bychildren at the age of two years and eight months. Furthermore, children have acquired the syntax, interrogative, imperative and negative forms of language and have controlled them, although only simple sentences are producedby children.

Abstract

This thesis aims to analyze the forms of gender discrimination and how patriarchy can affect gender discrimination. This study aims to explain feminism, patriarchy, and gender discrimination experienced by female characters in the novel which is the object of this research. This study uses feminism theory with a radical feminism approach proposed by Alison Jaggar and uses patriarchy from Sylvia Walby as a supporting theory. In this study, feminism theory is used to explain and analyze gender discrimination forms. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method. In this study, researchers found gender discrimination forms accepted by female figures and patriarchal oppression forms that could affect gender discrimination.

Abstract

This research is a field research using a qualitative approach. This study aims to analyze students' speaking ability in scientific presentations in Indonesian language courses. The population of this study is 20 pepople students of the Information Technology Education Study Program who programmed Indonesian Language courses. Data collection techniques were carried out using tapping techniques in the form of video recordings. Based on the results of the study, students' speaking skills were obtained in aspects of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and understanding, including: on the aspect of pronunciation with the majority of respondents (8 respondents - 40%) with a weight of 3; Grammar aspect with the majority of respondents (10 respondents - 50%) with a weight of 3; Aspects of Vocabulary with the majority of respondents (11 Respondents - 55%); Smooth Aspect with the majority of respondents (9 Respondents - 45%); and the understanding aspect with the majority of respondents (9 Respondents - 45%) Based on the average achievement of the five aspects, the speaking ability of students of the Information Technology Education Study Program STKIP Taman Siswa Bima in scientific presentation activities is at a good level or category.

Abstract

In the right learning method must be applied to maximize students' abilities during learning activities. This study aims to determine the improvement of learning achievement in English through the application of the card sort method. An action study (action research) was carried out on learning English material on Verb for 7th grade students of SMPN 2 Gempol, Gempol District, Pasuruan Regency, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Indicators The results showed that the percentage of mastery learning at the pre-cycle stage was 10.7%, in the first cycle it was 67.9%, and in the second cycle it reached 92.9%. The average score of student test results also experienced a significant increase, namely the pre-cycle stage was 58.8, the first cycle was 72.4, and in the second cycle it rose to 78.9. This means, through the application of card sort learning can improve student achievement in learning English Verb material.

Abstract

Bahasa Indonesia sebagai alat komunikasi, merupakan sarana untuk saling berhubungan, saling berbagi pengalaman, saling belajar dan meningkatkan kemampuan intelektual. Karena sangat penting penggunaan dan fungsinya, Bahasa Indonesia sudah diberikan di Sekolah Dasar sejak kelas I sampai dengan kelas VI. Hal ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan pengetahuan, ketrampilan berbahasa yang baik dan benar, bahasa lisan maupun bahasa tulis. Dalam penelitian ini penulis mengambil sasaran di SDN Baujeng 1 Kecamatan Beji, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Siswa Kelas I semester I sebanyak 16 orang sebagai subyek penelitian ini, dengan alasan bahwa siswa Kelas I diharapkan dapat menulis dan membuat karangan dengan baik. Dengan memperhatikan rangkuman hasil tes mengarang bahasa Indonesia tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pada tes awal sebelum dilakukan tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan metode pemberian tugas menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 53.75. Nilai 53.75 merupakan nilai yang belum memenuhi standar kemampuan. Dengan kata lain bahwa siswa masih belum mempunyai kemampuan menulis Bahasa Indonesia dengan baik. Tetapi setelah dilakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan metode pemberian tugas; guru dan siswa melakukan rencana pembelajaran siklus berdaur yaitu siklus I, siklus II dan siklus III ternyata kemampuan menulis Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas I SDN Baujeng 1 Kecamatan Beji, Kabupaten Pasuruan mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan.Pada pembelajaran siklus I nilai rata-rata naik menjadi 63.4 pada siklus II naik menjadi 72.5 dan pada siklus III naik menjadi 80.3. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran siklus berdaur dan penambahan pengetahuan baru menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis karangan Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe an increase in the ability to write job application letters through an experience-based learning model for Class XII students of As-Syifah Kisaran Private Vocational School. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK). The subjects in this study amounted to 30 students which were carried out in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques consist of observation and tests. The procedures used are (1) planning stage, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The results of this study indicate that it can increase learning activities. this can be seen from the teacher's activities in the first cycle obtained an average of 26.4 with "enough" criteria and increased in the second cycle with an average of 32 with "good" criteria. In the student activity in the first cycle obtained an average of 27 with "enough" criteria and increased in the second cycle with an average score of 30 with "good" criteria. The results of the analysis of classical learning completeness in the first cycle of 65,52% with an average value of 70,24. In the second cycle, classical learning completeness is 83,24% with an average value of 77,42. Based on these data, classical learning completeness has increased. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the experience-based learning model can increase learning activities in learning to write student job applications in class XII of As-Syifah Kisaran Private Vocational School.

Abstract

This research was conducted to find out how "The Effect of Copy The Master's Method on Poetry Reading Skills of Class VII MTs PAB 2 Students". The location of this research was carried out at MTs PAB 2 Sampali Jalan. Black Market No. 69 Sampali Kec. Percut Sei Tuan. The population of this study were all classes VII-1 and VII-4 which amounted to 140 people. The experimental class or class that uses the Copy The Master method is class VII-1 with 35 students, while the control class or class without using the Copy The Master method is class VII-2 with 35 students. The method used in this research is the experimental method. In this research, a test instrument is used in the form of a poetry reading practice test. After calculating and processing the data carried out in the experimental class, the highest score was 11 people with a score of 70-84 and the lowest score was 10 people with a score of 70 and an average of 75.30 (good). While in the control class, the highest score was 1 student with a score of 70-84 and the lowest score was 1 student with a value of 0-49 and an average of 57.13 (enough). From the above results, we get tcount > ttable (6.98 > 1.71). Thus Ha is accepted. So in other words, the effect of the Copy The Master method on the poetry reading skills of class VII MTs PAB 2 Sampali students.

Abstract

Literature is an art in which there are many elements of humanity in literary works, which involve the expression of the human person in the form of experiences, thoughts, ideas, desires, and beliefs in the form of a picture of life. In addition to novels, poetry, short stories and dramas, there are also films, dramas and films are imaginative literary works because films are literary works that reveal stories through the dialogues of their characters. The title of the film taken as the object of research is Little Mom, director Guntur Soeharjanto. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the characters and characterizations contained in this film. This study also uses qualitative methods, qualitative methods are methods that use descriptive methods in the form of words or writing in explaining the results of the research. The results of this study indicate that the characters and characterizations in a film are one of the important intrinsic elements in the film, allowing the audience to feel the feelings of the character. The author finds a variety of characters who have different characteristics in the Little Mom movie, there are some characters who have protagonists and some have antagonists.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the liberal feminism of the main character in the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Qualitative descriptive research is used to describe, describe, and actually describe the facts under study. The data analysis technique used was reading the novel repeatedly, recording all the data, understanding the data and analyzing the data. The source of data in this study is the novel Layangan Putus by Mommy ASF totaling 268 pages published by RDM Publishers in Malang, first printing in November 2020. The instrument in this research is a documentation study. The results of the study can be concluded that the existence of liberal feminism in the main character consists of women entitled to individual freedom, women are entitled to freedom of education, women are entitled to economic freedom, women are entitled to social freedom.
