Abstract

This study aims to analyze the media monitoring activities carried out by the Information Division at the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Johor Bahru. These activities are crucial for understanding how information circulating in the media influences the image and policies of the KJRI, as well as identifying issues relevant to Indonesian citizens in Malaysia. The study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including direct observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the Information Division at KJRI Johor Bahru has implemented various effective strategies in media monitoring, including the use of digital tools to monitor various media platforms. KJRI Johor Bahru conducts Media Monitoring, referred to as Weekly Reports (Lapming), in accordance with the definition of media monitoring activities by Friedel and Lukman (2020). Meanwhile, media tracking at KJRI Johor Bahru involves monitoring various credible online news sources, and media clipping at KJRI Johor Bahru aims to organize news collected from online sources and social media.

Abstract

This study explores the positive legal perspective that exists in Indonesia on human rights violations. (HAM). As a state of law, Indonesia has a responsibility to deal with various issues related to the public interest, including human rights violations. The findings can be concluded that the legal protection of human rights in Indonesia is naturally contained in the values of the Pancasila before the formation of the specific legal substance regarding human rights. With the method of normative jurisprudence research, this article is titled Implementation of the Law Regulations and Repressive Efforts to Deal with the Cases of Human Rights Violations in Indonesia by the process of collection of literary material through scrutiny, analysis, and systematic compilation of findings. The aim of this study is to examine in depth how the law is applied to cases of human rights violations in Indonesia as well as what the government is doing as a repressive effort to resolve human rights cases in Indonesia. The findings can be summarised by the fact that every country continues to strive to enforce human rights through different systems and actions, including Indonesia. In Indonesia, human rights issues are dealt with through various methods, including consultation, negotiation, media, and consultation. Governments should focus on dealing with the needs and conditions of the people, not just legal issues. Human rights issues in various regions are dealt with through various strategies, such as national and international mechanisms, the Commission on Human Rights, non-judicial machinery, and the Indonesian Human Rights Commission.

Abstract

The success of an event has an impact on improving the image of an institution. A good image of an institution affects public trust and can benefit the institution. One of the events held by the Sukoharjo Government Regency in creating its institutional image is the Sukoharjo Expo. The Sukoharjo Expo is an activity that carries the theme “Ekonomi Kerakyatan, Penggerak Kejayaan Ekonomi Nasional”. The event is an exhibition to commemorate the 77th anniversary of Sukoharjo Regency and support economic recovery for micro, medium, and various fields. The implementation of IMC supports public relations in communicating with the public, especially in promoting activities. This can support institutions to convey strong, clear, and consistent messages so that communicants can truly receive and understand the message. The study aims to categorize and explain the implementation of the IMC strategy in the 2023 Sukoharjo Expo activities. This study used the theory of Morissan (2015) with 7 categories of integrated marketing communications. This research is a qualitative study with data from interviews, observations, and documentation. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. Data analysis used interactive model analysis. The results of the study show that the Sukoharjo Government Regency at the Sukoharjo Expo 2023 event has implemented all 7 theories of Morissan (2015), namely advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relations, direct marketing, interactive / internet marketing, and internet marketing. Furthermore, the findings were analyzed using SWOT analysis to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Abstract

Mass media and the current information technology, can provide positive and negative impacts. One of them is the visual television program that can influence the public's viewing attitude. This study aims to measure the Influence of Alwi Assegaf's Fanbase Loyalty on the Attitude of Watching Raden Kian Santang, a television program that is famous for the presence of Alwi Assegaf as one of the main roles in it. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires to active Alwi Assegaf fanbase members with a sample size of 84 people. This study has two variables, namely Fanbase Loyalty and Viewing Attitude. The audience loyalty variable in this study is measured using the dimensions of Internal Involvement, External Involvement, Desire to Acquire and Interaction. To measure the viewing attitude variable, this study uses the dimensions explained by Suryanto, namely, Cognitive, Affective and Conative. The results of the study indicate that Alwi Assegaf Fanbase Loyalty is a variable that has been studied and obtained a positive assessment, this has been proven through the total average value that has been calculated at 44.39, Attitude to watch Raden Kian Santang is a variable that has been studied and obtained a positive assessment, this has been proven through the total average value that has been calculated at 42.42, For a simple regression test, the results obtained were 0.826, which means that the relationship or correlation between the Alwi Assegaf Fanbase Loyalty variable has a high or strong influence on the Raden Kian Santang Watching Interest variable. For the hypothesis test, the results obtained were 1.663. The calculated t value (3.594)> t table (1.663) then it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which shows that there is an influence between the Alwi Assegaf Fanbase Loyalty variable! (X) with the Attitude to Watch Raden Kian Santang

Abstract

This study is entitled "Analysis of the Film Dilan 1990 from the Perspective of Broadcasting Regulation". The phenomenon that occurred in the Film Dilan 1990 became an identification for today's teenagers, this film is categorized as a romance film that teaches how to communicate well and respect, it is undeniable that there are scenes of verbal and non-verbal violence, this is a violation and limitation of violent scenes in the second part of article 24 according to P3SPS. This study aims to analyze and examine the violence and love contained in the Film Dilan 1990 from the perspective of P3SPS. The main theory used in this study is broadcasting, film, television, P3SPS. The method used in this study uses qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the violence that occurs in the Dilan 1990 film from the perspective of P3SPS is violence and representation of love carried out by the actors in the Dilan 1990 film. The conclusion depicted in the Dilan 1990 film teaches everyone to always be responsible for the people they love, be kind to others and not differentiate between each other and not liking does not mean having to hate.customers.

Abstract

This study analyzes the phenomenon of anonymous communication on the Twitter account (X) @komunitasmaunangisaja and its impact on users' mental health using a transcendental phenomenology approach. Data collection methods include direct observation, content analysis of tweets, and in-depth interviews with account users. Findings indicate that anonymous communication on this account positively impacts mental health by reducing feelings of isolation and enhancing emotional well-being. Users feel more free to express their feelings without fear of judgment, helping to alleviate emotional burdens and gain community support. However, there are also negative impacts, such as dissatisfaction with received responses and the risk of anonymity abuse for negative behavior. The study also reveals that users frequently turn to anonymous communication to cope with stress, anxiety, and depression. This platform provides a space for sharing deep emotions and experiences, facilitating a sense of togetherness and emotional release. Community support helps users feel validated and understood, contributing to overall mental health improvement. This study highlights the importance of such platforms in creating a safe environment for emotional expression, ultimately contributing to better mental well-being, and emphasizes the need for more supportive online communities

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that produces cultural tourism in various specific regions, one of which supports cultural tourism is the development of Majapahitan contemporary batik and its potential to support cultural tourism in the city of Mojokerto. Majapahitan Contemporary Batik is a modern adaptation of traditional batik designs originating from Majapahit culture. This research aims to determine the characteristics of contemporary Majapahitan batik, explore its creative development, and examine its role in supporting cultural tourism in the city of Mojokerto. The research methods used were field observation, in-depth interviews with parties involved in the Majapahitan contemporary batik industry and documentation to take photos while in the field. The research results show that contemporary Majapahitan batik has unique characteristics, using traditional Majapahit motifs such as bricks, gates, walls and Surya Majapahit combined with a modern touch. The creative process in development includes innovation in coloring techniques, application of patterns, and product diversification. Majapahitan contemporary batik has proven to play an important role as an attraction for tourists to get to know the local culture of Mojokerto and can support the development of the creative economy and cultural tourism industry in the area. Majapahitan contemporary batik has great potential to be developed as a premium product in the city of Mojokerto and become a supporting force in the development of cultural tourism. Efforts to preserve, innovate and promote Majapahitan contemporary batik must continue to be carried out to increase competitiveness and contribute to the cultural tourism industry in Mojokerto City.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the branding strategies implemented by Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) and KWT (Women Farmers Group) in promoting the Eduwisata Kebun Kelor in Pulorejo, Mojokerto City. The branding of Eduwisata Kebun Kelor is carried out through print media such as brochures that offer various educational tour packages, which teach tourists about moringa leaves and the process of making moringa-based products. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results show that promotion is carried out through various means such as word of mouth, print media in the form of brochures, promotion through social media, although not yet fully optimal, and promotion from various local media covering Eduwisata Kebun Kelor. All these efforts have increased the visibility of Kebun Kelor. This study provides insights into the importance of branding strategies and community cooperation in promoting Eduwisata Kebun Kelor.

Abstract

The decision not to have children, known as childfree, is a conscious choice made by a married couple. Childfree has become a hot topic of discussion among young Indonesians, especially on social media. This study aims to identify and analyze the level of tolerance and empathy possessed by pre-married adolescents towards individuals who choose not to have children (childfree). This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, using five male adolescent informants aged 23-24 years from various academic backgrounds as subjects. The selection of informants with different backgrounds aims to obtain more diverse views on attitudes towards childfree. The results of the study show that most informants show a tolerant attitude towards the childfree decision. This attitude of tolerance is shown through respect for other people's life choices, without any tendency to judge or reject the choice.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of PT Pelindo III's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program in Kampung Lawas Maspati, particularly the Taman Baca facility, on community characteristi, participation, and attitudes. Using a quantitative approach with a survey design, data was collected from 70 respondents, including demographic characteristics, participation levels, and attitudes towards the CSR program. Results show that the CSR program significantly increased community participation, with a cumulative participation rate of 78.75%. The community displayed a positive attitude towards the program, with the conative dimension reaching 36.47%, indicating a desire to engage actively. The study concludes that PT Pelindo III’s CSR program effectively enhances literacy and community empowerment and suggests further research to explore factors influencing attitudes and the long-term impacts of the program.
