Abstract

PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) is a company engaged in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO). GMF has a business unit consisting of comprehensive aircraft maintenance, such as commercial aircraft maintenance, military aircraft maintenance and industrial services. At this company, the author took part in practical work activities in the Corporate Communications & CSR unit which is under the auspices of the Corporate Secretary & Legal service which carries out the public relations function at GMF. In this report, the author will explain the application of 4 strategic approaches to company visits held for GMF stakeholders using interview, observation and literature study methods. The stakeholder aspects that will be explained from the perspective of Grunig's 4 Linkage Model are functional linkage, enabling linkage, normative linkage, and diffused linkage. PT GMF approaches stakeholders using 4 strategic approaches, namely assertive, defensive, collaborative and responsive.

Abstract

In SIPSN KLHK data, plastic waste in Indonesia has significantly increased over the last three years, indicating a growing level of public awareness about the issue. The objective of this article is to achieve optimal environmental communication by describing the challenges in developing environmental communication on the issue of plastic waste, both conventionally and digitally. This aims to serve as a comprehensive review regarding challenges that have not been discussed by previous researchers who did not specify environmental communication challenges related to plastic waste. The research method used is qualitative, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The interviews and observations were conducted at Bank Sampah Teratai, a waste bank in South Tangerang City. The findings reveal that the challenges in developing environmental communication on plastic waste can be categorized by media (digital and conventional), demographic age groups (teenagers, adults, and seniors), and administrative challenges, all analyzed using Lasswell's theory of communication elements. In conclusion, the primary factors contributing to these challenges are inconsistency and public skepticism. The urgency of this research is the increasing volume of plastic waste annually, which has significant environmental impacts. Therefore, enhancing public awareness about plastic waste through effective environmental communication is crucial. The researcher recommends that environmental communicators focus on addressing solutions to inconsistency and skepticism to mitigate these challenges.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the adoption of digital banking services, with one in three people becoming users. This has led to a significant digital transformation and an increase in the number of digital banks. Understanding the perception of ease of use is crucial for technology acceptance. This study aims to understand users' perceptions after using the Bank Jago application and identify which features influence this perception. The Technology Acceptance Model is the foundation of this research. A quantitative method is used by distributing questionnaires via Google Forms to 89 samples, selected through Simple Random Sampling from commenters on @jadijago’s social media posts from November 2023 to January 2024. This research employs a descriptive approach to analyze the data obtained. The data is processed using descriptive statistics to present the frequency, mean, and distribution of users' perceptions of the ease of use of the Bank Jago application. The results indicate that respondents' ratings of Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) are very high, with 48 respondents (53.93%) rating it in the top category. Among six indicators and 13 questions, the highest average is on the Controllable indicator (4.30) and the lowest on the Easy to Become Skillful indicator (4.03).

Abstract

The development of advances in information technology has made it easier for humans to obtain information more effectively, efficiently, and of course more quickly. Social media is one of the latest information platforms that has been widely used in Indonesia, especially by the younger generation or often referred to as Gen Z. According to we are social data in 2018, around 130 million Indonesians who are Gen Z are users of social media. biggest. The use of social media as a provider of information needs can be seen from the content in the related Instagram account. One piece of information that is very important is information regarding the health aspect. One account that utilizes content related to health information is Halodoc. Based on the results of a survey conducted by Daily Research in 2019, Halodoc has become the best digital health service commercial application in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of using Instagram @halodoc content on providing Gen Z health information needs. This type of research uses a quantitative approach by taking a sample of 100 Halodoc followers who belong to the Gen Z category, namely 15-23 years old. From the research results, it can be seen that there are positive results between the two variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is an influence of Halodoc Instagram content on providing the information needs of Gen Z

Abstract

Efforts to increase interest in reading and to preserve culture, especially traditional culture, which is increasingly marginalized day by day. need to reintroduce good moral values ​​for children. Therefore, the folklore of Timun Mas has content and benefits in instilling moral values ​​in life to determine whether an action is good or not in everyday life. The character values ​​in the folk tale "Timun Mas" are religious, honest, disciplined, hard working, creative, independent, curious, communicative, peace-loving and responsible. With these character values, this story can be an example for readers, especially children who really like stories as bedtime stories.

Abstract

Gadis Kretek is a series exclusively aired on the subscription streaming platform, Netflix. It tells the story of a woman named Dasiyah who fights against patriarchal values that she feels are unfair to her as a woman. This study uses a qualitative method with narrative analysis through four elements in the film, namely plot, premise, characterization, and conflict. The results reveal that there are strong patriarchal values regarding women as shown through the plot, premise, characterization, and conflict in the Gadis Kretek series. The plot or storyline shows Dasiyah's dependence on men. The premise of this film assumes that women who fight against patriarchal values will experience defeat. Dasiyah, as a woman, has a strong character but is alone, surrounded by men with characters who silently support her, and a very patriarchal tobacco sauce chef. Dasiyah faces various conflicts both with her partner and with patriarchal figures who oppose her desire to become a sauce maker in the tobacco industry, making women victims in political conflicts that women do not understand. In the end, the Gadis Kretek series concludes with the bitterness of Dasiyah's life and the success of men using the tobacco sauce formula created by Dasiyah without her knowledge.

Abstract

In view of the increased impact of social media, non-profit organization (NPOs) should review their communication strategies in social media to manage their relation with followers. This papers aims to examine which non profit organizational type of content that enhance high public engagement in Twitter. Using a quantitative content analysis of aniesbubble, tweets during campaign election period with 78 tweets are being classified into three different message function; information-community-action. One-way ANOVA was applied to test the effects of these message function and public engagement on Twitter which is likes and retweet. Findings revealed a significant effects among non profit message function and engagement in Twitter. The findings shows that community message function achieve the highest engagement among the others.

Abstract

In the increasingly advanced digital era, children are increasingly exposed to gadgets such as smartphones, tablets and computers which provide easy access to various online content. Almost all levels of society have gadgets. Excessive use of gadgets or without adequate supervision can have a negative impact on children's language development and use of Indonesian that is not appropriate for their age. Parents give gadgets to their children for several reasons, such as calming the child when they are fussy, making it easier for the child to sleep or eat, and giving parents free time so they can do household work or relax. The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of technological developments on the use of Indonesian by children in elementary schools in communicating and to identify forms of use of Indonesian that are not appropriate for the age of children in elementary schools due to technological developments. The research method used is analytical descriptive, namely research that attempts to describe phenomena that occur realistically, real and contemporary, because this research consists of making systematic, factual and precise descriptions, drawings or paintings regarding the facts, characteristics and relationships between the phenomena being studied. . The research results show that uncontrolled use of gadgets and lack of supervision can contribute to children using inappropriate language in their communication. Children who spend too much time on gadgets tend to be exposed to content that is inappropriate or not appropriate for their age. The influence of a less controlled environment can also influence the use of inappropriate language. It is important for parents and the environment around them to supervise children's use of gadgets by providing appropriate restrictions and managing usage times and also providing a clear understanding of the appropriate and ethical use of language in communication. Parents and the surrounding environment can act as positive examples in the use of appropriate language and provide continuous guidance regarding the importance of using appropriate language in communication.

Abstract

Radio Elshinta is a national private radio station in Jakarta that carries the tagline "News And Talk" with programs containing news and information that are needed by its listeners. Radio Elshinta is the only radio station in Indonesia that only presents news without playing songs as its broadcast content. Along with the development of science and technology, new media or new media in the digital era has changed competition and the radio broadcasting industry. Competitors are not only from fellow radio stations, but from many digital platforms, so Radio Elshinta must innovate in order to maintain its existence as a radio media that presents news by increasing its listeners and income. This study uses a qualitative method based on Sekaran and Bougie (2016), organized, systematic, data-based, critical, objective business research, investigations or investigations into certain problems, carried out with the aim of finding answers or solutions. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing three key informants, namely the President Director, Marketing Coordinator and Advertising Agency. The results of this study indicate that in order to maintain its existence as a news radio in the era of disruption, Radio Elshinta must innovate in four steps. First, program innovation that is adjusted to the era of radio media disruption, Second, creating digital-based programs that are the tendency of society, Third, organizational transformation, Fourth, capital innovation, namely increasing capital by conducting cross media to target a wider market, and increasing human resources (HR).

Abstract

This UMKM juara program targets participants from entrepreneurs in West Java who are willing to commit to progress and development in the business sector. UMKM will move up a class and utilize technology in business, especially information technology for a wider market. Therefore, a digital public relations publication strategy is needed to produce messages that are easy to understand and effective in delivery to the public. This study aims to analyze the digital public relations strategy in the socialization of the UMKM juara program at the West Java Provincial Cooperative and Small Business Service (DISKUK). This study is a qualitative study using primary data sources, namely the DISKUK JABAR public relations staff. The Instagram account and DISKUK JABAR technical guidelines are secondary data sources. The primary data are the results of interviews with the DISKUK JABAR public relations department. Secondary data is the uploads from the DISKUK JABAR Instagram account. This study used a digital public relations strategy from Holtz (2009) which includes the goals, strategy, objectives, and tactics. The results of the study show that DISKUK JABAR has implemented a digital public relations strategy. The SWOT results show that the stages of the digital public relations strategy have been implemented. Meanwhile, the digital public relations strategy that is still lacking is the strategy and objective stage. This is due to the lack of socialization in activities regarding the accompanying curriculum and the limited human resources in monitoring and evaluation assistance. Therefore, it can cause the implementation of the UMKM Juara program to be less effective
