Abstract

This study aims (1) to find out how the efforts are being made to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of class VIII-3 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar through the jigsaw type cooperative learning model, (2) to find out how to increase the mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class VIII- 3 SMP Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar after the implementation of the jigsaw cooperative learning model. The subjects in this study were 30 students in class VIII-3 at SMP Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar. The object of this research is the application of the jigsaw cooperative model to improve the mathematical problem solving skills of class VIII-3 students of SMP Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is class action research (classroom action research). This research consists of two cycles. Before giving action, an initial ability test is first given to determine students' initial abilities. From the results obtained it can be concluded that the class has met the indicators of research success. The results of this study indicate that the jigsaw type cooperative learning model can improve the mathematical problem solving skills of students in class VIII-3 SMP Negeri 5 Pematang Siantar in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the development of Indonesian language learning, especially in language skills. Another purpose of holding learning evaluations is so that teachers can find out the extent of students' abilities in learning, and can improve learning so that later students can improve more in learning. Evaluation of learning in schools, especially in SMA, SMK, and SMU, is considered important for improving students' learning abilities, especially in class X SMA, evaluation of the progress of student achievement needs to be observed as a whole because at this time after graduating from Junior High School (SMP), students go on to high school (SMA), will the abilities of the students still follow them when they are still in junior high school or have they started to develop when they go to high school. In this research method the author uses a quantitative descriptive method by collecting various data, objects and observations around which are put together. The results of the important role of evaluating Indonesian language learning in language skills in class X, are reflected in the 4 Indonesian language skills, namely: listening skills, writing skills, reading skills, speaking skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce learning media products in the form of digital-based learning modules using valid, practical, and effective microlearning methods on Lines and Angles. This research uses a type of development research with the development model used, namely the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 30 students of class VII-1 at Bina Bersaudara Private Middle School Medan. While the object of this study is a digital-based learning module using the microlearning method. The results in this study indicate that: (1) The validity of the learning module based on the assessment of material experts and media experts obtained an average score of 89.29% and 89.76% in the valid category. (2) The practicality of the learning module based on the results of the teacher's assessment is 92.5% with the criteria of 'very practical' and the practicality score based on the results of the student assessment is 92.4% with the criteria of 'very practical'. (3) The effectiveness of the learning module is obtained from the results of classical student mastery of 90.0%, the achievement of indicators of mathematical literacy is 85.42%, the learning time used does not exceed ordinary learning, and students respond positively to the learning module with an achievement of a percentage of 92.4% which fall into the 'very positive' category. Based on the research results, the development of digital-based learning modules using the microlearning method on Lines and Angles material can be said to be feasible with valid, practical, and effective categories.
