Abstract

Pembuktian matematis merupakan kemampuan yang sangat penting bagi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika. Agar sukses dalam pembuktian matematis, diperlukan suatu keyakinan terhadap kemampuan dirinya sendiri. Keyakinan akan kemampuan diri untuk dapat mencapai suatu hal dinamakan self-efficacy. Karena pentingnya self-efficacy, sebuah penelitian telah dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui bagaimana self-efficacy mahasiswa dalam pembuktian matematis. Kuesioner yang berisi 24 pernyataan diberikan kepada 44 mahasiswa salah satu universitas di Aceh Utara yang telah belajar topik metode pembuktian matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 40,1% mahasiswa memiliki self-efficacy tinggi, 59,9% mahasiswa dengan self-efficacy sedang dan tidak ada yang memiliki self-efficacy rendah. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kebanyakan mahasiswa memiliki self-efficacy sedang. Namun, tidak sedikit juga tingkat self-efficacy mahasiswa sudah berada pada level tinggi yang artinya mereka memiliki kepercayaan yang baik akan kemampuan dirinya untuk sukses dalam pembuktian matematis. Hal tersebut menjadi modal penting dalam usaha untuk terus meningkatkan kemampuan pembuktian matematis.

Abstract

Perubahan yang terjadi dalam sistem pembelajaran tidak terlepas dari dampak pandemi Covid-19 pada tahun 2020 yang terjadi di negara Indonesia bahkan seluruh dunia. Pandemi tersebut mengakibatkan perubahan yang berdampak bagi siswa dalam berbagai aspek, salah satunya adalah aspek afektif yaitu self-esteem siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Dewantara. Perubahan aspek afektif menarik peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan aspek self-esteem siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Dewantara dalam pembelajaran matematika dimasa pandemi Covid-19. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Dewantara yang terdiri dari 7 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling, adapun yang menjadi sampelnya adalah kelas XI MIA 1, XI MIA 2, XI MIA 4 XI MIA 5, dan XI IIS. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket/kuesioner self-esteem. Pengolahan dan analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan diantaranya tingkat dan self-esteem siswa mayoritas berada pada level sedang.

Abstract

Culture and religion are two very sacred things that cannot be separated in the life of the Acehnese people. Every activity in the life of the Acehnese is inseparable from religious values ​​that have even become culture, one of which is applied in the "rumoh Aceh" building. The aceh house building has an Islamic philosophy and a legacy of living order in each of its buildings and ornaments. Even without realizing it, there are perfect mathematical activities in Acehnese houses, starting from numbers, traditional calculations without measuring tools, and structured similarities without knowledge of formulas and geometry. Besides having an Islamic philosophy, the Acehnese house also has beautiful carvings that have high aesthetic value and balanced and perfect measurements. As an educator, the study of mathematical activities at the Rumoh Aceh cultural site is interesting to explore, in order to make mathematics more meaningful to learn. Nowadays, linking culture and mathematics has been growing, which is known as ethnomathematics. It is proper that ethnomathematics is explored and presented in learning to make mathematics interesting to learn, besides that with the exploration of culture in mathematics, knowledge about regional culture will not be destroyed by time for future generations. This paper aims to explore the concepts of mathematics and geometry as well as the philosophical meanings contained in Acehnese houses which are described through design and building elements in terms of ethnomathematical activities. Through exploration, literature study, observation and documentation on Acehnese houses, it can be concluded that ethnomathematical activities in the design of Acehnese houses include the concept of numbers, measurements, and geometric concepts including: the number of pillars, steps, walls, roofs and floors (build up). planes and shapes), the concept of angles, lines (horizontal, vertical, and perpendicular) and geometric transformations. The philosophical meaning contained in the Aceh house construction is to always face the Qibla, withstand floods and storms and glorify hosts and guests.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe mathematical problem solving abilities in solving Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions on the subject of opportunities for permutations and combinations of MAN Lhokseumawe students. In general, students' mathematical problem-solving skills are still lacking in solving HOTS-shaped problems, both at the steps of understanding the problem, planning a solution, solving problems, and re-examining. This type of research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by providing problem-solving ability test questions in the form of HOTS and selecting interview subjects according to predetermined abilities. The results of the research on the percentage of students' answers to the steps of problem-solving skills are: understanding the problem 37%, planning a solution 51%, solving the problem 68%, and checking back 21%. So it can be concluded that students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving HOTS questions on the subject of permutations and combinations of probabilities are still low in understanding the problem, good enough in re-planning, good enough in solving problems, and quite low in re-examining.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah (KPM) harus dimiliki oleh siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. KPM mengutamakan proses berpikir pada siswa. Indikator KPM yang digunakan adalah indikator KPM berdasarkan strategi Polya. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis KPM siswa melalui soal HOTS matematika terintegrasi nilai-nilai Islami pada siswa SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil yang didapatkan menunjukan bahwa dari hasil tes yang dilakukan siswa rata-rata skor persoal kurang dari 50%. Sedangkan untuk rata-rata kategori penilaian hasil tes siswa adalah 40% (baik), 20% (Cukup Baik), dan 40% (kurang baik). Hal ini menunjukan masih rendahnya KPM matematika pada siswa kelas VII.1 di SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi sehingga perlunya ditingkatkan kembali KPM pada siswa di SMP Negeri 8 Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Mathematics learning activities continue to evolve. One of these developments is the practice of learning mathematics that is integrated with Islam. This is inseparable from the goal that mathematics not only fosters intellectual values, but can also express spiritual values in students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Islamic integrated mathematics learning on student learning motivation. This research uses the literature review method and the sample is journals that have been published from 2014-2023 totalling 49 articles. The results of this study found that: 1) The research trend of Islamic integrated mathematics learning in increasing student learning motivation from year to year is increasing, 2) The research subjects that are often used in research are many at the MA / SMA level, which is 40%, 3) The type of research used in the article is literature review and qualitative, 4) The effect of Islamic integrated mathematics learning on increasing student learning motivation is very good. Educators are expected to implement Islamic integrated learning in mathematics classes.

Abstract

This research aims to conduct a literature study related to students' learning difficulties in the topic of matrices, and then describe the most dominant difficulties faced by students when learning the subject of matrices based on data summarized by researchers. The research utilizes the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explain its findings. The data collection process begins with searching for relevant articles using Google Scholar and Repository. As a result, 23 articles relevant to this research were found. Next, out of these 23 articles, 18 articles were selected that met the criteria of suitability and relevance to this study. The selected articles cover a publication range from 2016 to 2023 to ensure that the data used are the most relevant and up-to-date since there were no articles matching this research before 2016. Based on the literature review conducted, the researchers can conclude several key points. The difficulties experienced by students include challenges in understanding concepts, difficulties in operations, difficulties in principles, and difficulties in knowledge or the application of facts. These key points were obtained from the conclusions of the 18 analyzed articles, where similar conclusions were identified and ranked based on the frequency of occurrence.

Abstract

The aims of this study are 1) to describe the procession of carrying out the Meron tradition in Sukolilo Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency; 2) to explore the ethnomathematics concept contained in the meron tradition in Sukolilo Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency. This type of research is ethnographic research with a qualitative approach. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was performed by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification. Checking the validity of the data is done by using, increasing persistence, triangulation and holding member checks. This research was conducted because there was no research on the Meron tradition which discussed its relationship with mathematics. Based on the results of the study it was found that 1) the Meron tradition procession in Sukolilo Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency was carried out in stages starting from the preparation stage, the procession implementation and post procession. In the preparatory stage consisting of forming committees, determining the time, events, and preparing various needs to be used in the Meron celebration ceremony, the implementation stage of the procession consists of the preliminary ceremony, Meron's departure and ends with a prayer together while the post-procession stage is carried out by parading again go to their respective homes. 2) The ethnomathematics obtained in this study are basic mathematical measurement concepts such as counting, measuring, and identifying. Counting activities are found when calculating the number of once of each meron, measuring activities are found when estimating the area and circumference of a meron, as well as the minimum distance for displaying meron while identifying activities are found in some basic geometric concepts that exist in meron such as angles, lines, plane shapes and geometry.

Abstract

Based on the research objectives that have been set in the introductory section, this study explains "Difficulties of High School Students with Statistical Materials". Research shows that 18 articles published between 2015 and 2023 address high school students' difficulties with statistics. This study is a literature review. The purpose of this study is to describe, explain or describe and conclude high school students' difficulties with statistical data. In this study, the difficulties of high school students were based on research published in the form of article documents by previous researchers with statistical data. Therefore, the researcher conducted a literature review of several articles, totaling twenty articles. These articles were randomly selected from national and international journals and internet research. One of the characteristics of classroom action research is the process of conducting research in a continuous cycle, which is designed to be two cycles, and each cycle has four stages, including: 1) activity planning, 2) activity implementation, 3) observation. and interpretation of action followed by analysis and evaluation and 4) reflection. Based on the results of the research described above, students' difficulties in solving math problems related to statistics are very different. Everyone has a different way of thinking. The success of learning is determined by many factors, apart from the students themselves and the infrastructure, the teacher factor is very decisive, because the teacher determines the direction and helps students with learning difficulties.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan mendeskripsikan metode pembelajaran yang relevan dan fungsional terkait pembelajaran Relasi dan Fungsi. Metode penelitian ini didasarkan pada tinjauan literatur. Tahapan kajian pustaka ini adalah pengumpulan data dari berbagai jurnal yang membahas tentang materi Relasi dan Fungsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kurang lebih 22 artikel yang sesuai dengan variabel penelitian, ditemukannya dari 22 artikel tentang materi relasi dan fungsi yang diterbitkan antara tahun 2014 sampai 2023.
