Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 28 Pakkita, which is in Salohe, Kec. East Sinjai, Kab. Sinjai, Prov. South Sulawesi. The purpose of this study was to describe students' learning difficulties in mathematics about addition and subtraction of integers. This research method is descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were two third grade students of SDN 28 Pakkita. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, diagnostic tests, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the subject already understands the concept of addition operations by storing and subtracting by borrowing but the subject is less careful in working on the questions given while the learning difficulties experienced by subjects are difficulties in counting so that subjects have difficulty in working on the questions. given question. Efforts are made to overcome learning difficulties experienced by students, namely teachers need to understand the characteristics of their students and provide motivation so that they can have a passion for learning mathematics. and Efforts that parents can do at home are to guide and train children so that they can master little by little the material being taught, especially at school.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of descriptive assessments in improving students' mathematical abilities at SDIT Alam IKM AL-Muhajirin. The main aim of this research is to understand how to improve descriptive assessments in students' mathematical abilities and to explore an in-depth understanding of the impact of using descriptive assessments to improve students' mathematical abilities. This research uses qualitative research. This research technique involves collecting data through in-depth interviews with mathematics teachers in high classes related to the implementation of essay question assessments. The results of the research show that the application of essay question assessments makes a positive contribution to students' understanding of mathematical concepts. The teacher said that understanding the use of high level description questions (Hots) can encourage students to think critically and develop a deeper understanding. Apart from that, the essay question assessment also encourages the development of students' critical thinking and mathematical communication skills. The results of this research provide in-depth insight into the benefits of assessing descriptive questions in the context of SDIT Alam IKM Al-Muhajirin. The implication of this research is that a qualitative approach in implementing essay question assessment can provide a deeper understanding of changes in students' understanding and its positive impact on mathematics learning. In the world of education, student assessment is the process of collecting information that is used to make decisions about students, curricula, programs, schools, and educational policies.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to describe students' abilities in solving integer problems in the form of story problems based on predetermined indicators. This research took the form of a qualitative descriptive study involving 33 students. Data collection uses test techniques in the form of essay questions. Based on the results of the analysis of problem-solving abilities in solving integer problems, it was found that many students already understood presenting problems in word problems. Although there are some students who are still not careful in solving questions, especially when doing calculations and drawing conclusions. Students are also able to formulate mathematical problems correctly using the knowledge they must solve whole numbers. Some students can carry out calculations correctly to solve the problems presented so that it can be said that students have achieved indicators of problem-solving ability in whole numbers.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate literature related to the causes of anxiety in students, delineating the factors that trigger anxiety through data analysis. Employing the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with a qualitative approach, the study collected data by searching articles on Google Scholar and Sinta-indexed journals. Out of 100 relevant articles, 23 were selected based on matching criteria. The chosen articles span the publication period from 2017 to 2023 to ensure the freshness and accuracy of the data. The literature review results indicate that the causes of student anxiety can be categorized into personality, intellectual, and social environmental factors. Physiological aspects were also identified as elements influencing student anxiety.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning mathematics is needed to achieve better learning goals. If students' interest in learning is low, it can cause a less effective learning process carried out by the teacher. This study aims to describe students' interest in learning mathematics Integration of Islamic values. The method used in the research is descriptive quantitative method. The instrument used is a questionnaire with scoring using a Likert scale. The sample in this study were students of class VIII H SMP Negeri 1 Bukittinggi totaling 29 students. The results showed that in general, students' interest in learning mathematics in mathematics learning integrated with Islamic values was in the high category, where the average score was 78. A total of 138% or 4 students has an interest in integrated mathematics learning with Islamic values with moderate criteria, and 86.2% or 25 students have an interest in integrated mathematics learning with Islamic values with high criteria. Students' interest in learning mathematics determines whether mathematics learning is effective by using learning combined with Islamic values by the teacher.

Abstract

This research aims to assess learning outcomes through the utilization of mathematical comic media using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The data collection process involves the application of Publish or Perish, referencing Google Scholar and Garuda – Garba Rujukan Digital, selecting 20 articles out of a total of 100 that meet the criteria of compatibility and relevance. The publication year range spans from 2018 to 2023 to ensure accuracy and data relevance. From the literature analysis, the researcher compiles several key points. The use of comics in mathematics learning can enhance learning outcomes by leveraging mathematical visualization to help students understand concepts more effectively. Furthermore, the use of comics makes mathematics learning more engaging and enjoyable. The ability of comics to illustrate abstract mathematical concepts also facilitates student comprehension. The level of completeness of learning outcomes has shown a significant improvement in various studies, reaching an excellent category and exceeding the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). Findings from various sources indicate that mathematical comics can be considered an innovative and effective strategy in improving students' learning outcomes, particularly in understanding challenging mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The ability to operate the multiplication of calculation is one of the important competencies that should be the goal of mathematics teaching for elementary school students. The operation of multiplying natural numbers in mathematics learning in elementary schools must be attempted so that it can be mastered well. However, many elementary school students still find that there are still no multiplication calculation operations. The research aims to apply the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to solving the problem of calculating the multiplication of natural numbers for grade 2 elementary school students. This research is quantitative research. Based on data obtained from the test questions, the ability to understand the concept of multiplication in the first post-test was 87% and in the second post-test 92% of the students completed it, and as many as 37% of students experienced an increase and increase in their understanding of the concept in the high category, 42% in the medium category and 21% in the medium category. low. The results of the research show that the process of increasing understanding of the concept of multiplication increases and student learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi statistik siswa MTs ditinjau dari gaya belajar. Subyek penelitian melibatkan siswa kelas VIII-1 MTsN 2 Kota Lhoseumawe sebanyak 17 siswa, 3 siswa diantaranya dipilih sebagai subjek wawancara yaitu 1 siswa untuk setiap jenis gaya belajar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan instrumen angket untuk mengklasifikasikan siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar, tes uraian dan wawancara semi terstruktur untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 17 siswa kelas VIII-1 diperoleh bahwa 7 siswa memiliki gaya belajar auditori, 4 siswa memiliki gaya belajar visual, 4 siswa memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik, dan 2 siswa memiliki gaya belajar auditori dan kinestetik. Subjek auditori mampu mengetahui informasi yang disajikan dalam soal dengan baik, mampu menafsirkan data dan mengambil keputusan, namun pada saat mengkomunikasikan subjek auditori tidak memberikan jawaban pernyataan yang benar. Subjek visual mampu mengetahui informasi yang disajikan dalam soal dengan baik dan benar, mampu menafsirkan data tabel ke diagram batang dan memberikan kesimpulan yang tepat, dan mampu menyajikan  proses pengolahan data dari bentuk diagram. Subjek kinestetik mampu menyajikan data atau informasi dalam soal dengan baik, mampu menafsirkan data dan mengambil kesimpulan, dan mampu mengkomunikasikan data yang baik. Kondisi seperti ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan berbagai kecenderungan belajar yang berbeda memerlukan layanan belajar  yang berbeda, misalnya modifikasi model pembelajaran.

Abstract

Mathematics is very close to Islamic schools, so students are required to understand and master mathematics in order to optimize their devotion to Allah SWT. Learning in Islamic schools should be carried out in an Islamic manner and students should be able to solve mathematical problems. For this reason, Islamic integrated mathematical problem solving questions are needed in learning. This research aims to determine students' mathematics problem solving abilities (KPM) in solving Islamic integrated mathematics problems in class IV.B SDIT Haji Djalaluddin. The type of research used is descriptive research carried out using a quantitative approach. The subjects in this research were all class IV.B students at SDIT Haji Djalaluddin. The data collection used by researchers during research is by using test questions. The instrument used in this research is the Islamic Integrated Mathematics KPM test questions. Based on the KPM test, students in working on integrated Islamic mathematics questions in answering 3 problem solving questions can be seen in the form of a percentage for each question, namely for question number 1 it is 66.80% with good criteria, for question number 2 it is 54% with sufficient criteria. , for question number 3 it is 52.80% with less criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) terhadap keterampilan abad 21 yang terdiri dari berpikir kritis, komunikasi, berpikir kreatif dan kolaborasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode systematic literature review yang terdiri dari beberapa tahap. Tahap pertama adalah perencanaan, di mana topik yang akan dibahas ditentukan serta kriteria artikel yang akan digunakan ditetapkan. Tahap kedua adalah pelaksanaan, yang melibatkan proses pencarian, pemilihan artikel, dan sintesis data. Tahap ketiga adalah pelaporan. Berdasarkan kajian terhadap 25 artikel nasional, 7 artikel membahas tentang 4C (Critical Thinking, Communication, Creative Thinking, Collaboration), 3 artikel membahas tentang keterampilan berpikir kritis, 3 artikel membahas tentang keterampilan kolaborasi dan 2 artikel membahas tentang keterampilan berpikir kreatif sehingga ditemukan bahwa penerapan model PBL adalah solusi yang bisa digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis, komunikasi, kreativitas, dan kolaborasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa PBL adalah metode yang efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan esensial untuk menghadapi tantangan abad 21.
