Abstract

This study focuses on the dynamics of structural changes in public administration and their implications for developing the business education curriculum at Cape Peninsula University. In the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, public administration must adapt to the demands of an increasingly complex external and internal environment. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design involving ten resource persons from various departments at the university. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and analysis of public policy documentation. The study results show a paradigm shift from the traditional hierarchical structure to a more flexible and responsive organizational model, which is characterized by the implementation of cross-functional teams and increased collaboration between departments. In addition, adopting New Public Administration (NPA) principles in public policy strengthens the efficiency and accountability of public services despite facing challenges such as internal resistance and resource limitations. The implication of these findings is the need to integrate elements of public administration into the business education curriculum to equip students with adaptive and innovative managerial skills. This is expected to increase the practical relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the ever-evolving industry and prepare graduates who are ready to face the dynamics of the complex world of work.

Abstract

This study explores how implementing clinical supervision can transform teaching practices and education management in the context of Islamic schools in Indonesia. Effective and sustainable professional development of teachers is crucial to improving the quality of religious and general education. Although clinical supervision is known as a collaborative and reflective approach, its understanding as an instrument of systemic change in a unique Islamic educational environment is still limited. This study uses a qualitative case study method in one of the Aliyah Madrasas, with data collection through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. Key findings show that clinical supervision significantly improves teachers' pedagogical skills, encourages innovation in teaching methods, and fosters a culture of reflective practice. Furthermore, implementing clinical supervision triggers positive changes in school management policies related to teacher professional development and evaluation and strengthens a culture of collaboration between educators. The implications of this study underscore the potential of clinical supervision as a practical and contextual model of teacher development in Islamic educational institutions, providing valuable input for policy formulation and practice for improving continuing education.

Abstract

The research originates from the issue of students' low academic performance, a shortage of educators, limited infrastructure, financial constraints, low motivation, and performance gaps, which lead to unequal learning outcomes and challenges in lesson planning. This study investigates the role of innovative leadership in enhancing educational quality, focusing on the strategies implemented by madrasah principals to improve teaching outcomes, school management, and student performance. The research employs a mixed-method approach using a sequential explanatory design. The population and sample consist of teachers and principals of Madrasah Aliyah in Indonesia. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed with the assistance of Lisrel software, while qualitative data were examined using the Miles and Huberman method. The findings indicate a positive and significant influence of innovative leadership on the quality of education. Integrating quantitative results from SEM analysis with qualitative insights from interviews provides a comprehensive understanding of how leadership influences education quality, highlighting that the creativity of madrasah principals in leadership contributes significantly to improving graduate quality, educator quality, the learning process, school management, and overall educational outcomes. This study's implications show that applying innovative leadership that integrates quantitative and qualitative data can improve the quality of education overall.

Abstract

This study investigates the strategic role of public relations (PR) management in optimizing hydroponic programs at the kindergarten level. Employing a qualitative descriptive case study design, data were collected through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis, validated using triangulation and member checking. The findings reveal four critical themes: innovation-based program planning with financial independence, structured team organization and role allocation, effective communication and stakeholder engagement, and continuous supervision and evaluation. Collectively, these themes demonstrate how PR transforms hydroponic initiatives from extracurricular activities into sustainable, income-generating school business units. Specifically, PR fosters innovation through creative product processing, enhances credibility via transparent communication, and strengthens institutional resilience through systematic monitoring. This study highlights the novelty of integrating entrepreneurial principles into early childhood education through PR, offering a practical model for schools seeking economic empowerment. The implications highlight the importance of proactive PR as a catalyst for sustainable school programs, enriching educational management literature by linking communication strategies, entrepreneurial practices, and community involvement.

Abstract

This study examines education management strategies crucial for achieving inclusive education and equitable access in the digital era, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4. The primary issue raised is the disparity in access to and quality of education that still exists, particularly for vulnerable groups, amid rapid digital transformation. The study employs a qualitative design with a case study approach, utilizing in-depth interviews and document analysis as data collection methods, along with thematic analysis for data interpretation. The study's findings revealed that learning strategies and personalized instruction are crucial for accommodating the diversity of students, supported by the adaptation of teaching methods, the use of technology, and active collaboration among teachers, school management, and parents. However, the implementation of inclusive education in the digital age faces significant challenges, including limited access to technology infrastructure, a lack of teacher training in the use of inclusive technology, and a widening digital divide. On the other hand, digital technology also presents a significant opportunity to create a more adaptive, engaging, and equitable learning environment, which can ultimately enhance student motivation and participation. This research contributes to the literature by providing an in-depth and holistic qualitative analysis of the synergy between learning personalization, digital challenges, and technological opportunities in the context of inclusive education. The study's implications include specific recommendations for policy development that support the equitable distribution of digital infrastructure and teacher training, as well as practices that encourage multi-stakeholder collaboration.

Abstract

This study examines the urgency of Vocational Education and Training (TVET) universities in equipping students with essential leadership skills to face the dynamics of the changing global job market. Although the role of TVET is crucial, there are gaps in the literature regarding how these institutions specifically foster leadership and align it with economic demands. Through a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study examines the educational strategies employed in TVET institutions in South Africa, drawing on the perspectives of both students and lecturers. The findings indicate that leadership training programs are generally received positively, particularly in enhancing communication skills, decision-making, and teamwork through experiential learning methods, such as collaborative projects and internships. Nonetheless, interpersonal challenges and variations in student readiness levels are still a concern. Lecturers confirmed the high value of hands-on experience and recommended integrating leadership modules early in the curriculum, as well as utilizing simulation technology to enhance learning outcomes. This research provides profound implications on effective practices, fills empirical gaps, and contributes to the understanding of TVET's role in shaping adaptive leaders who are ready to face the economic complexities of the future.

Abstract

This study examines social media optimisation strategies for enhancing the professionalism of teachers in Islamic educational institutions in Gresik Regency. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, document searches, and field findings. The results of this study show that teachers utilise various social media platforms, including WhatsApp for communication and coordination, Facebook for professional community development, and YouTube for creating and disseminating educational content. However, this implementation faces significant challenges, including the risk of spreading negative information, a lack of digital literacy among some teachers, and resistance to technology. To overcome these barriers, educational institutions have implemented proactive strategies that include digital literacy training,  content creation workshops, learning community development, periodic evaluations, and collaboration with parents. Therefore, the research provides implications that emphasise the urgency of formulating adaptive policies and providing ongoing, practical support to develop digitally competent and ethically based teaching staff.

Abstract

This research aims to explore inclusive leadership strategies in managing student diversity in multicultural universities in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach based on intrinsic case studies, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, policy documentation, and participatory observation in two universities. The results show that inclusive leadership is manifested in operational actions, such as lecturer diversity training, cultural orientation programs, interfaith forums, and flexible policies that support the participation of minority students. Student diversity is not only seen as a challenge but also utilized as a pedagogical resource that encourages collaborative and innovative learning. The findings also reveal challenges to cross-cultural integration, including communication barriers, limited access to information, and gaps in institutional support. Successful leadership strategies are those that combine critical awareness, policy flexibility, and systemic psychosocial support. This research has both theoretical and practical implications, as it maps the conceptual framework of inclusive leadership within the context of Indonesian higher education and also provides practical guidance for campus managers to develop an adaptive, equitable, and sustainable diversity management system.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the technique of human resource performance assessment in Islamic educational institutions, with an emphasis on the integration between professionalism and Islamic values, such as trust, itqan, and justice. Using a descriptive qualitative approach in the design of multi-case studies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results show that Islamic educational institutions have developed various assessment techniques, including classroom observation, self-assessment, portfolios, 360-degree evaluations, and digital KPIs, which are not only administratively oriented but also focus on the learning process and the work character of teachers. The findings also reveal macro-level (non-standard regulations, budget, and technology limitations) and micro-level (low evaluative literacy, individual resistance) factors that hinder the effectiveness of assessments. Participatory communication has proven crucial in building a fair, transparent, and ethical evaluative culture. This research contributes to the literature on Islamic human resource management by offering contextual and multidimensional assessment models, as well as confirming the importance of synergy between professional evaluation and spiritual coaching in Islamic education governance.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of the prophetic values of shiddiq (honesty), amanah (responsibility), and fathanah (wisdom) in the leadership of Islamic education in madrassas in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results of the study show that the value of shiddiq is realized through budget transparency, consistency of actions, and open policy delivery, which strengthens trust and fosters an honest work culture. The value of the mandate is realised through systematic supervision, competency-based task distribution, open reporting, and collective deliberation, resulting in a credible and accountable work system. Meanwhile, Fathanah is reflected in data-driven strategic decision-making, participatory dialogue, and wise responses to crises, which increase organizational efficiency and participation. These three values contribute significantly to building ethical, transformative, and benefit-oriented leadership. This research strengthens the position of prophetic leadership as a strategic framework in contemporary Islamic education governance, while offering an applicative model for the development of competencies of madrasah heads.
