Abstract

The study tries to determine the effects of the pandemic on the tourism industry in Negros Oriental specifically on accommodation facilities and food and beverage establishments. This study is a descriptive method using the correlational technique. The results show that both accommodation facilities and F&B establishments strongly agree that the actions taken during the pandemic are the observance of government protocols. The study also finds out a significant relationship between human resources and operating pressures with actions taken during the pandemic. While for the F&B establishments, human resources, operations, financial situations, operating pressures, and government policies shows a significant relationship to actions taken during the pandemic. It is also said that accommodation facilities that manage by women take action effectively during the pandemic, and accommodations facilities with more employees have more operating pressures compared to businesses with fewer employees. The same can be said with F&B establishments where sex and marital status is significantly related to human resource. This means that F&B establishments managed by single women experienced less effect on their human resources and single women can work effectively during the pandemic.

Abstract

A6 model consist the attributes of tourist destination that are attraction, accessibility, amenities, available package, activities, and ancillary service. They both have an influence on increasing tourist satisfaction. Health protocol is also the perception to enhance tourist satisfaction in new normal. Consequently, health protocol plays an important role in boosting the tourist satisfaction in Cibuntu Village, West Java. This study analyses the relationships proposed in SERVQUAL, which consist five core components of service quality: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The sample in this study was 200 respondents from the tourists who experienced at least one time of visiting Cibuntu Village. This study using questionnaires in the kind of Google form, consists of 23 items.Five hypotheses were formulated and tested. The finding of this study found from all respondents is also going down more than four time experiences. Then offer a promotion for the young generation or under 25 year old market segment. In the new normal, the application of health protocols determines tourist satisfaction in Cibuntu Village, West Java. The process of building, designing, and defining a sustainable tourism village, we must collaborate with the central government and local government in the new normal situation. Cibuntu Village should collect the data from the tourist visiting Cibuntu village and save it as guest history to offer a suitable promotion in new normal.

Abstract

Cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability or CHSE is the implementation of hygiene, health, safety, and environmental sustainability which is an operational guide for the tourism sector. The purpose of this study is to analyze the interconnection of certified cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability on purchased decision tourism businesses. The sample was 200 respondents from the tourists who experienced at least one time of visiting Puncak. The method used in this research is quantitative method. The questionnaires will be collected by using Google form. The statistical finding there is positive and strong relationship between certified cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability on purchased decision tourism businesses. The finding of this study first, certified cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability very important on purchased decision tourism businesses. Second, the age of respondent between 25 years old until 44 years old with 83 respondents from a total of 200 respondents, this opportunity for tourism businesses to promote a tourism sustainability for young generation. Third, tourism businesses to maintain the price is not higher than other tourist destinations and it is advisable not to increase the prices. Fourthly, according experienced visiting Puncak, more than four-time experience of respondent visiting Puncak with 129 respondents from a total of 200 respondents from all respondents, suggestion for tourism businesses to maintain products, services and innovate by implementing tourism sustainability businesses.

Abstract

Penglatan Village is one of the villages in Buleleng district which is famous for its typical food, namely dodol and the art of sound art, namely Renganis. Penglatan Village has tourism potential that has not been optimally packaged and marketed. Therefore, this study aims to explore the feasibility of Penglatan village to be developed and to analyze the tourism potential it has as a tourism village to build sustainable tourism in Buleleng Regency. This study uses a qualitative research approach. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, documentation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The tourism potential includes, among others, middle culture of furniture, the "samyag dresti" temple, tourism of the Yellow Temple, multi-purpose halls, carving works, Kencana Mas hill temple, dodol and belayag culinary tours, Jelema wood trees, songket crafts, and pathways tracking/cycling. The existence of some of these tourism potentials has received a good response from tourists such as dodol and belayag culinary tours, but there is still a lot of potential that has not been explored and packaged properly, such as the Kuning Temple water tour. The development planning strategy using SOAR analysis in Penglatan village which is applied to 11 tourism potentials by analyzing the points of strength, opportunity, aspiration and result for each tourism potential to support the village Penglatan as a tourist village.

Abstract

Consumer satisfaction is one key determinant of the success of a business. The ratings and feedback given by guests about employees at Grand Inna Hotel Medan mostly indicate that employee performance have not met guest expectations, and guests are dissatisfied. This study aims to evaluate the moderating factor of price perception in between employee performance and consumer satisfaction. This research uses the quantitative method. Data collection was done by distributing  questionnaires. The population is all customers of Grand Inna Hotel Medan, with total sample of 96 people that were determined using the Lemeshow formula. The data is analyzed using SPSS statistical software. The findings indicate that employee performance has a significant influence on consumer satisfaction, and price perception negatively moderates the variables. To enhance the perception of appropriate pricing among customers, Grand Inna Hotel Medan needs to consider more transparent pricing strategies and provide value commensurate with the services offered.

Abstract

The purchasing department is often said to be the buying center at the hotel company concerned. The purchasing department has a duty to ensure that the goods used for hotel operations do not damage the surrounding environment, currently environmental issues are important in economic development. The purpose of this study is to analyses the implementation of green products in purchasing at Aston Canggu Beach Resort and to analyse the relationship between the implementation of green products in an effort to increase environmental awareness at Aston Canggu Beach Resort. Methods of collecting data were observation, focus group discussions, questionnaires, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis method used is qualitative and quantitative methods, qualitative methods include several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while quantitative research uses descriptive statistics. Indicators green product, including products that do not contain harmful elements when consumed, are made from environmentally friendly raw materials that provide recycling functionality, and products with production process technology used are environmentally friendly. While 1 indicator that has not been implemented is having efficiency in energy use, with the application of green products at Aston Canggu Beach Resort. It can increase environmental awareness as evidenced by the decrease in waste costs incurred by Aston Canggu Beach Resort.

Abstract

According to Koentjaraningrat (2003: 76) the cultural value system is the highest and most abstract level of customs because cultural values consist of concepts regarding everything that is considered valuable and important by society so that it can function as a guide in their lives. This can be seen in the various rules applied in Guwang Village, such as not being allowed to sell land because the land belongs to the adat village; it is forbidden to cut down trees without village permission; for tourists who want to visit the Hidden Canyon Beji Guwang tour, they must obey the established rules, such as wearing a scarf and not entering the temple during menstruation; and tourists are also expected not to visit sacred places past the specified time. The research method used is qualitative with a qualitative descriptive research approach that aims to describe, describe, summarize various conditions, situations or variables that arise in the community that are the object of research. This research will be conducted in Hidden Canyon Tourist Destination, Guwang. by applying a purposive random sampling data collection technique. Overall, awig-awig has a very important role in the development of Hidden Canyon tourist destinations. Through the implementation of awig-awig, Hidden Canyon can be preserved, maintain the culture and social life of the local community, and provide a safe and comfortable experience for visitors. Thus, awig-awig becomes a strong foundation in the development of sustainable and responsible tourist destinations in Hidden Canyon.

Abstract

Social media is a place where users can exchange information with fellow users, one of the information obtained is about tourism. In today's digital era, social media such as Instagram has become a popular platform for users to share their travel moments. By using social media one can find out a lot of information and reviews from visitors who have experience in tourism travel, so that they have considerations and decisions in visiting tourism places. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of motivation to share photos on Instagram on visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City.  The study used a quantitative with a causal associative approach. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires online through Instagram users who have shared photos of their experiences visiting the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. So that as many as 184 people were obtained, with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. The results found that recognition and status, enjoyment, and disclosure influenced visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. Meanwhile, tourism information did not affect visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. This study concluded that when people share motivational and inspiring travel photos via Instagram, they can feel an increase in subjective well-being.

Abstract

Rural tourism has been widely encouraged, promoted and relied on as a useful means of tackling the social and economic challenges faced by those rural areas associated with the decline of traditional agrarian. This study aimed to analyses the importance of local agricultural flora in the promotion of Tourism in Tuburan, Cebu.The study used the ethnography method that identified the agricultural resources found in Tuburan, Cebu. Furthermore, it also identified the benefits of a community’s local resources in the promotion of tourism as well as the challenges encountered which hinder the growth of tourism. The study was conducted in Tuburan, Cebu. There were 20 informants who were chosen through judgmental sampling to provide their personal experiences as to their visit of the place. Simple percentage was used to summarize, analyze and interpret the data. The findings revealed that coffee, banana, cacao, coconut, and corn are the major agricultural floras in Tuburan, Cebu and coffee was found to have the biggest land area among all the other major floras giving a distinct identity of the municipality, thus coffee has been the motivating factor of the tourist in visiting Tuburan. It was also found that agricultural floras are greatly beneficial to the community and its people by opening job opportunities, empowering the people, building social relationships, and uplifting people’s morale. Lastly, the major challenges encountered by the informants in visiting and promoting tourism are poor facilities and services in the coffee farms, transportation, communication and manpower.

Abstract

The old city of Gresik is recognized for its Arab Kampong in Gapurosukolilo Village, home to the graves of the first harbor master and the first regent of Gresik. These sites have now become significant cultural heritage and pilgrimage tourism attractions. This study aims to investigate the conditions and impact of tourism in the Arab Kampong Gresik during the Covid-19 pandemic and to provide insights for the post-COVID-19 era. Employing a qualitative historical perspective, the research analyzes data from documents and interviews regarding past events. The findings reveal that during the pandemic, the number of tourists visiting the Arab Kampong of Gresik decreased, resulting in a substantial decline in the local community's income. The interpretation focuses on the processes of rethink, rebuild, and restart, which have led to the creation of strategic programs designed to assist the community in effectively navigating the challenges of the Post Covid-19 era.
