This Journal focuses on Islamic Studies with an integrative approach through social sciences and humanities. The social sciences field covers the studies of Psychology, Economics, Politics, Education, Law, and History. Meanwhile, the humanities field covers the studies of Quran, Hadith, Islamic Astronomy Observatory, Monotheism, Islamic Law, and Sufism. This journal aims to reveal and solve the problems faced by Asian people, especially Indonesia, from the social sciences and humanities perspectives. Abstract

Islam was born as a religion in the middle of the socio-cultural of Arab society full of dynamics and social problematics. Discrimination and crime continue to blanket the lives of people at that time. Islam as a living system containing several sub-systems of aspects, and among them is a sub-system in the education sector. Through aspects of doctrine and education, Islam asserts that the urgency of science has never looked at economic, social and even racial differences. Speaking of the world of education, especially education in Indonesia today has faced various problems and challenges very heavy. Among the challenges are, cultural, ethical and moral globalization, as a result of technological advances (transport and information), and low levels of social-capital, low quality of education in Indonesia, and national macro issues, involving multidimensional crises in both fields economic, political, moral, cultural and so forth. In addition, there is an indication that the world of Islamic education is failing, which failed to humanize human (humanization), failed to form human in accordance with the vision and mission of creation. This failure has implications for the process of maternalistic education, away from Islamic values and weak character.

Abstract

This article discussed the idea of Islam as the science of Kuntowijoyo, as well as trying to see the contribution of the idea in the context of the renewal of Islamic education. Similarly, the idea of Islamization of Science in responding to the hegemony of "Western" thought and culture to the Islamic world, both were distinguished by the implementation of its methodology. Not only Islamized the science and its scientists, the idea of Islam as Kuntowijoyo's knowledge was also as an effort to formulate theories of knowledge based on Islamic normative values, as a conscious effort of Muslims to make a logical and objective social transformation. Through this idea he sought to encourage the intellectual movement of the people to go further, from the reactive attitude to be proactive, by placing Islam as a viewpoint in viewing various issues of life. Meanwhile, in the renewal of Islamic education, Kuntowijoyo tried to offer an Integral-Teoantropocentric Islamic education paradigm as an effort to develop the prophetic character in Islamic education. For him, Islamic education should liberate society from all forms of oppression, injustice, and domination caused by internal and external factors. Islamic education had also to lead to the value of a character capable of lifting the human dignity of all forms of dehumanization which had resulted in them losing its essence as a living human being. In addition, Islamic education should be able to grow the character of the transcendent value so that various immoral behavior could be prevented or at least minimized.

Abstract

Counter-radicalism is all prevention efforts to build awareness or understanding that radicalism in the form of terror is violence and not related to religious teachings and must be fought together. This research aims to explore conceptually the role of youth-based mosque organization on counter radicalism movement. As for some findings from this research are: first, the core in counter radicalism rests on the function and purpose of the organization. Second, the movement of the organization in counter-radicalisme is divided into three main parts: the guidance and direction, the implementation of various activities of the organization, the control and follow-up of the organization's programs. Third, the role of this organization is more appropriately done in the micro and messo spectrum related the causes of radicalism. The implementation of all efforts requires the active support of stakeholders in society.

Abstract

Islamic da’wah positions have encouraged da'wah activists to mobilize their own modalities to spread what they call the guidance of Islamic character that is the main goal of the da’wah at campus. Excavations on the position of da'wah on campus as a contested and mobilized resource have not been much excavated by academics. This research is a qualitative descriptive research to explain the process of mobilization of da'wah resources conducted by da'wah activists at campus and faculty level at Gadjah Mada University. Data collection was done by in-depth interview and non participant observation. The research results show the role of campus / faculty mosque to be central in the effort of mobilization of "da'wah" resources used by da'wah activists at the faculty and campus level at Gadjah Mada University. The condition of mosque and prayer room at faculty level at UGM in da'wah activity is more fluid and facing the condition of different da'wah object, so there is process of adjustment done by da'wah activist

Abstract

Penerimaan publik terhadap buku "Lâ Tahzan", menjadi salah satu sebab untuk menemukan latarbelakang penulisan buku tersebut. Di mana ia mencatat rekor penjualan terbaik selama beberapa tahun berturut-turut di Pameran Buku Internasional Kairo antara tahun 2000 dan 2005. Buku ini, menjadi nilai-nilai positif yang penulis peroleh dengan menyajikan artikel-artikelnya dalam perawatan penyakit mental modern, tidak bebas dari kritik ilmiah dan obyektif. Melalui jalur-jalur terbatas inilah peneliti mencoba untuk mengungkapkan buku yang disebutkan dalam analisis dan kritik ilmiah tentang apa yang dinyatakan di dalamnya melalui tinjauan pengantar, boot, latar belakang penulis ilmiah, dan munculnya buku, serta tulisan penulis dan aspek-aspek positif dari buku dan beberapa kelemahan pada buku tersebut.

Abstract

Guru memiliki posisi tanggung jawab yang besar dalam proses pendidikan dan pengajaran. Seorang guru harus memiliki adab, karena perilaku seorang guru akan berpengaruh kepada kepribadian anak didik. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemikiran Abu al-Hasan al-Mawardi tentang adab seorang guru khususnya dalam buku “Adab ad-Dunya wa ad-Din”, berawal dari awal pemikirannya mengenai adab hingga kepada maksud dari adab tersebut. Kesimpulannya bahwa pemikiran Abu al-Hasan al-Mawardi tentang adab diawali dengan pemikirannya tentang akal, karena seorang guru (manusia) adalah makhluk yang dibebani kewajiban (syariat), yang mana dituntut untuk mampu melaksanakan beban yang diberikan kepadanya. Adapun yang dimaksud dengan adab menurut al-Mawardi mencakup istilah-istilah akhlak, politik dan hikmah. Karena tingkah laku akhlak menurut al-Mawardi terkristalisasi dalam bentuk kemuliaan sifat, perbuatan dan perkataan untuk kebahagiaan dunia dan akhirat. Berdasarkan pemikirannya tentang adab tersebut, al-Mawardi membagi adab seorang guru menjadi tiga bagian, yaitu: adabad-din, yaitu berkaitan dengan pembebanan yang diberikan kepada seorang guru (manusia); adab ad-dunya, yang berkaitan dengan banyaknya kebutuhan duniawi seorang guru (manusia); dan adab an-nafs, yang berkaitan dengan kepribadian seorang guru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research explores the values of noble character education in Syi'ir Mitra Sejati, a work created by KH. Bisri Rembang. The study utilizes library research as the methodology and employs descriptive qualitative analysis to describe and analyze various phenomena, social activities, attitudes, beliefs, perceptions, and individual or group thinking. The primary data for this research is collected from the book Syi'ir Mitra Sejati. The data analysis method employed is descriptive analysis, which involves collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting the data. The research focuses on exploring the moral values present in the text, specifically those related to character education. The findings reveal two significant values: the value of social responsibility and the value of appreciating achievements. The value of social responsibility reflects an attitude and action of willingly assisting others and the community in need. On the other hand, the value of appreciating achievements motivates individuals to create something beneficial for the community, as well as acknowledging and valuing the success of others. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of cultivating friendly and communicative attitudes, which involve expressing happiness when interacting with others, socializing, and cooperating. These values should be applied to both ourselves and students, enabling us to live harmoniously based on the religious doctrines we follow while fostering friendship. The communicative value is also evident in the intimacy and closeness observed within families and relations, as exemplified by KH. Bisri Rembang's efforts to propagate Islam in the style of Ahlusunnah Wal Jama'ah across various communities. Lastly, the research emphasizes the value of tolerance, which appreciates religious diversity, ethnic differences, opinions, and actions of others. This tolerant value fosters a sense of mutual respect among individuals of different religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds, contributing to the continuity of harmonious living.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Komunitas virtual sebagai komunitas baru di dunia maya sedikit banyak telah membawa perubahan sosial, salah satunya merubah pola komunikasi masyarakat di dunia maya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran komunitas virtual bagi keberadaan kyai Anwar Zahid? Seberapa efektifkah peran komunitas virtual dalam memperkenalkan Anwar Zahid kepada publik? peneitian ini penting dilakukan agar kita mengetahui bagaimana komunitas virtual yang hanya ada di dunia maya bisa membuat perubahan di dunia nyata. Selain penelitian ini diharapkan bisa ikut andil dalam dirkursus tentang otoritas dan media baru. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa peran komunitas virtual yang ada dalam whatsapp dan instagram bagi keberadaan Kyai Anwar Zahid berfungsi: Untuk mengenalkan Anwar Zahid kepada publik, Memudahkan masyarakat mengetahui kabar atau pengajian terbaru Anwar Zahid, Menjadikan Anwar Zahid memililiki legitimasi yang luas di masyarakat luas. Kata Kunci: Komunitas Virtual, Otoritas, Media Baru.

Abstract

Dalam mewujudkan kemandirian penyelenggarakan pendidikan, sekaligus menjawab tantangan era digital dan tuntutan persaingan masyarakat ekonomi ASEAN (MEA), lembaga pendidikan perlu meningkatkan berbagai kompetensi unggul. Salah satu kompetensi yang harus dibangun adalah kompetensi kewirausahaan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pentingnya pengembangan kewirausahaan di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi kewirausahaan adalah salah satu kemampuan yang dimiliki seorang pemimpin dalam mewujudkan nilai-nilai kewirausahaan di sekolah. Kewirausahaan di sekolah dapat diwujudkan manakala seorang kepala sekolah memiliki kompetensi yang mumpuni, dengan karakter sebagai berikut: inovatif, bekerja keras, memiliki motivasi yang kuat, pantang menyerah, memiliki naluri kewirausahaan, berani mengambil keputusan, visioner, dan mampu memberi keteladanan bagi warga sekolah. Kompetensi kewirausahaan kepala sekolah akan mampu menciptakan sekolah yang mandiri dan unggul serta mampu mewujudkan lulusan yang berjiwa kewirausahaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan multimedia dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Eka Sakti Semarang Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Pemilihan sampel ditetapkan dengan cara random dan diperoleh siswa kelas IX Nusa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dimana pembelajarannya menggunakan bantuan multimedia dan siswa kelas IX Bangsa sebagai kelompok kontrol dimana pembelajarannya tanpa multimedia. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengambilan data adalah tes hasil belajar matematika. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa 1) pembelajaran matematika berbantuan multimedia efektif dilihat dari hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung; 2) terdapat perbedaan keefektifan pembelajaran matematika berbantuan multimedia dan pembelajaran matematika tanpa bantuan multimedia dilihat dari hasil belajar matematika siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung; 3) pembelajaran matematika berbantuan multimedia lebih efektif dari pembelajaran matematika tanpa bantuan multimedia dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung.
