Abstract

This study explores the Santri Gobal Gabul community's contribution to shaping tolerance through a multicultural Islamic education framework. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, data were gathered via in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation involving pesantren caregivers, interfaith leaders, community figures, and local authorities. The findings indicate that the santri Gobal Gabul community is a transformative form of social spirituality expressed through inclusive leadership, moral exemplarity, sustained interfaith dialogue, and cross-cultural interaction. These practices have nurtured santri with tolerant, empathetic, and open-minded dispositions, enabling them to engage constructively across religious and cultural boundaries. Unlike conventional pesantren that emphasize formal structures, this organically developed community demonstrates a contextual model of Islamic education that is both dynamic and responsive to local realities. The study concludes that pesantren-based communities can serve as effective laboratories for tolerance education. The originality of this research lies in formulating a model of multicultural Islamic education rooted in local practice while reflecting universal Islamic values within the framework of national and human solidarity.

Abstract

Early childhood education (PAUD) plays a crucial role in character formation and child development, particularly within the context of Islamic-based education. Nurul Ikhwan Al-Qur'an Kindergarten (TKQ) in Teluk Pulai Dalam, North Labuhanbatu, is one of the educational institutions implementing the Islamic education curriculum at the TKQ level. However, implementing effective learning strategies amid limited facilities and time is challenging. This study aims to analyze the learning strategies used in implementing the Islamic education curriculum at Nurul Ikhwan TKQ. This study used a qualitative method with a descriptive analytical approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews with the principal and teachers, and analysis of documents related to the implemented curriculum. The results show that the implementation of the Islamic education curriculum at Nurul Ikhwan TKQ focuses on teaching the Quran and developing children's social character through lectures, question-and-answer sessions, and games. However, there are obstacles related to limited facilities and time, which affect the variety of learning methods. Teachers play a crucial role in the learning process, but they require more intensive training to address these challenges. Nevertheless, the positive impact on children's social character development is evident, particularly in their religious development and social interactions.

Abstract

Moral education in Islamic high schools often only addresses cognitive aspects without practical implementation, thus requiring a learning model that encourages the internalization of moral values. This study aims to develop the E2A2E (Engage, Explore, Analyze, Apply, Evaluate) learning model using a deep learning approach based on the SOLO taxonomy to improve students' moral character. The research method uses the ASSURE development model through the stages of analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. The results show that the E2A2E model is highly feasible (average feasibility >88%) with a significant increase in students' understanding from the unistructural to the extended abstract level. In conclusion, this model is efficacious in improving students' moral awareness and ethical behavior. For further research, it is recommended to test this model in a broader context and integrate digital technology to optimize results.

Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) in Indonesia faces a critical paradox that the societal demand for premature academic skills often undermines the educational goal of fostering intrinsic motivation, a challenge exacerbated by digital distractions. This study analyzes the conceptual and practical integration of the Montessori principle of Auto-Education and the Islamic work ethic of Itqan in cultivating intrinsic motivation and holistic character at Firdaus Islamic Course (FIC). Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through source triangulation, comprising in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis and were analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that the synergy between Auto-Education (the how) and Itqan (the spiritual why) creates an effective hybrid pedagogical model. This integration reframes learning as purposeful 'work' ('amal), demonstrably enhancing children's independence, responsibility, and emotional regulation. Crucially, this impact is amplified by a strong parent-school partnership and is consistently transferred to the home environment. The study concludes that this fusion enriches Self-Determination Theory by introducing a transcendental dimension and successfully cultivates robust intrinsic motivation by framing independence as a meaningful act of worship. It thus offers a potent, culturally-grounded solution to contemporary educational challenges.

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology requires educational institutions, including those based on Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), to modernize their curricula without losing their traditional values. This article aims to examine how Ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah (Aswaja) values can be harmoniously integrated with technological innovations in the NU education system. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Ihyaul Ulum Gresik. Using primary sources from direct observation in the field, interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, and secondary sources from curriculum documents and academic literature relevant to the research theme, the data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman analysis technique, namely through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Through these stages, the results of the study show that the modernization of the NU curriculum can be carried out through the integration of the values of moderation, tolerance, balance, and justice with digital technologies such as E-learning and Madrasah Digital Report Cards (RDM). Despite facing challenges such as infrastructure limitations, digital literacy, and human resource readiness, NU educational institutions have proven capable of adapting to the digital era without sacrificing their religious identity. This integration creates an adaptive, contextual, and Islamic character education model while strengthening NU's existence in responding to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

This research discusses the codification of Prophetic hadith from the perspective of Imam Khatib Al-Baghdadi in the context of Islamic Religious Education. The urgency of this article is to emphasize the importance of the codification of the Prophet's hadith in the context of Islamic religious education. The method in this writing uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through literature study. The Prophet's hadith as the second source of law after the Koran plays an important role in the process of legal istinbath in Islam. Codification of the Prophet's hadith is the process of collecting, compiling, and organizing the Prophet's hadith so that they can be used as a valid and trustworthy source of law. Imam Khatib Al-Baghdadi succeeded in explaining discussions in the science of hadith systematically and in language that is dense in meaning so that it is easy to understand. Imam Khatib Al-Baghdadi also discussed and refuted the thoughts of Orientalists with arguments that he built naqli and aqli. In the context of Islamic religious education, the codification of the Prophet's hadith also has a very important role for Islamic students and teachers to study and understand the codification of the Prophet's hadith to distinguish between authentic and false hadith.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out how the Islamic education curriculum planning model takes into account 1) epistemology, 2) ideology, and 3) the Islamic education curriculum planning model in Tyler's view which is associated with the opinions and theories of Zainal Arifin. The method used in this study is Library Research which is carried out by collecting data in the form of text in online/offline libraries, E-Books, and journals using inductive analysis techniques. The main literary sources used are two books (Zainal Arifin and Oemar Hamalik) and one article (Mukh Nursikin). The approach used in this study is to 1) record all data findings in the form of text obtained from the literature, 2) combine the data obtained, 3) researchers analyze the data obtained, and 4) criticize the results obtained. The results of this study are that the interactive rational curriculum planning model that adapts to thoughts and situations is very suitable to be applied and this model pays attention to curriculum development after planning. Supported by the theory of the curriculum model, namely the ideology and epistemology of the Islamic education curriculum, namely knowledge, methods, structure, and basis which are used as guidelines.

Abstract

The roles, contributions and teachings of Wali Songo in spreading Islam can be a lesson and role model for educators in responding to the challenges of the times. Re-actualizing the role of Wali Songo is one of method that can be done. The purpose of this research is to describe the role and teachings of Wali Songo in Islamic education and to describe the reactualization of Wali Songo teachings in Islamic education. The research approach and method used to reveal the research objectives is literature review. The researcher sought, collected and critically analyzed data from several books, journals, documents, literature then summarized the results. The results of the study stated that first, the role and teachings of Wali Songo in Islamic education are facts and historical data that can be taken as ibrah and role models. Second, the re-actualization of Wali Songo teachings in Islamic education can be carried out by internalizing-syncretizing and informal-collaborating.

Abstract

The implementation of understanding the verses of the Qur'an by society is very diverse, both within the scope of large communities and miniature communities such as Islamic boarding schools. Like wise with the phenomenon of life at the Assalaam Islamic Modern Islamic Boarding School. Like the problems of other middle class families, the students of the Assalaam Surakarta Islamic Modern Islamic Boarding School have problems regarding the relationship between children and parents. Even though Islamic boarding schools in this case have instilled good values in family relationship patterns, in reality there are not a few differences among students in their implementation. This research aims to determine the understanding and implementation of class Student students in class This research is qualitative with an interpretive approach and uses descriptive analytical interpretive as a data analysis method. Based on the data, this research focuses on understanding the meaning, sources of knowledge and implementation of ihsan in the Birrul Walidain verses for female students in class on the verse and its implementation. In this case, environmental factors and scientific level are one of the most influential factors for students in realizing the values understood from the verses of the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

In the era of independent learning, educators are required to always innovate and be able to apply technology in learning activities, including by utilizing electronic teaching materials (e-modules), so that learning will be varied and not boring. The aim of this research and development is to produce an e-module that has content, language, design and ease of use based on the noble character of Pancasila students. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The data collection was carried out through validation and field trials. Validation by PAI material experts and e-module experts obtained data regarding content validity, linguistic validity, design validity, and practicality validity or ease of use. Field trials were carried out to obtain data from teachers and students regarding the suitability of content, language and practicality. Referring to the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the e-module product produced is very feasible. Feasibility can be determined based on the suitability aspect of the content in the e-module which gets an average score of 97%, the linguistic aspect gets an average score of 94%, the design aspect gets an average score of 96%, the practicality aspect gets an average score of 94, 5%. Thus, it can be concluded that the PAI e-module and the material on avoiding promiscuity based on the character of Pancasila students with noble morals in the e-phase using the Flip Pdf Professional application are very suitable for use in learning.
