Aim Jurnal Penelitian is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on various aspects of religiosity, Islam, and culture in Indonesia. As a predominantly Muslim country, Indonesia is home to a diverse range of local cultures. Islam, which originated outside of Indonesia, brought with it not only religious doctrines but also cultural influences. The interaction between Islam— as the majority religion— and the unique cultural identity of Indonesia is a central theme of the journal. The journal focuses on exploring the dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity, examining how the two intersect and influence each other. Scope The dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity enable a diverse range of scientific studies. Therefore, the scope of Jurnal Penelitian includes issues related to: - The relationship between Islam and local culture in Indonesia, - Islamic movements vis-a-vis the state in Indonesia, - Mainstreaming religious moderation in Indonesia, - Islamic education and appreciation of local culture in Indonesia.

The existence and contribution of Islamic boarding school (pesantren) for Indonesian people is significance enough. Pesantren is an educational and community development institution. Its existence in Pekalongan, however, is in serious condition. Today, its development is less maximal, the increase of student amount is not significance, the Islamic classical book study does not improve, and the institution is stagnant, i.e. as a religious learning place only. There are some pesantrens that their student amount become more in a little calculation every years, and even their students are off, and only few pesantrens develop bigger. This research describes that condition and government take a strategic initiative to reinforce their existence and vitality.

Di wilayah hukum PA Batang Jawa Tengah, permohonan dispensasi kawin selama tahun 2005-2008 termasuk rendah, hanya ada 24 kasus atau sekitar 0,486 % dari total kasus yang diterima. Rata-rata alasan yang diajukan pihak pemohon adanya kekhawatiran terjadinya perzinaan, sudah saling menyintai, sudah bekerja, disetujui kedua orang tua kedua pihak, siap bertanggung jawab. Demikian pula alasan yang dikemukakan oleh majlis hakim dalam mengabulkan permohonan, karena sudah sesuai prosedur, tidak melanggar ketentuan perundang-undangan, menghindari mafsadat yang lebih besar.

Islamic schools, including Madrasah Ibtida’iyah (Islamic Elementary Schools), have long been identified as traditional institutions with limited facilities, an excessive focus on Islamic studies, and less emphasis on science in their curriculum. As a result, their quality is often doubted and questioned, which is considered proportional to their low tuition fees and declining public interest. The emergence of Islamic schools labeled “Full Day School,” especially at the elementary level, has responded to these concerns. These schools seek to fulfill the expectations of students and parents for higher educational quality by providing better facilities and integrating Islamic studies with science in a comprehensive curriculum. This type of school is considered one of the best alternative options available. Using a descriptive approach, this qualitative research aims to describe Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (traditional Islamic elementary schools) and Full Day Islamic Elementary Schools (modern Islamic elementary schools) from the community’s perspective, as well as to explore their expectations regarding high-quality Islamic education. The data were collected purposively, and the research was conducted in Pekalongan City.

Kualitas uji kompetensi PAI di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri Kota Pekalongan untuk materi Akhlak dalam konteks sosial sebagaimana dalam Buku Lembar Kerja Siswa (BLKS) masih perlu ditelaah lebih dalam apakah sudah menyangkut aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor atau belum? Persoalan itu penting guna menelaah lebih jauh terhadap kompetensi PAI di sekolah-sekolah. Faktanya menunjukkan bahwa cakupan materi akhlak masih lebih menekankan pada upaya pembentukan kesalehan individu siswa bukan kesolehan sosial. Materi PAI lebih menekankan pada kajian ilmu yang berkaitan dengan ilmu-ilmu agama Islam. Akibtanya, kompetensi PAI tidak memadai untuk mengembangkan kapasitas intelektualitas siswa di samping itu, kompetensi PAI tidak menyentuh tentang afektif dan psikomotor.

This research is meant to know the dynamic of resiliency of the parents who have autism child in Pekalongan City by using phenomenology theory. To collect data it was used in-depth interview and observation. The respondents are the parents who have autism child that goes to extraordinary school for disable persons YRI of Pekalongan City. The result of this research shows that the forming of the parents’ resiliency is influenced by internal and external factors. Cognitively, at the beginning of diagnose, the parents feel worry, stress, and even think to blame on themselves. Affectively, worry, confuse and sad feeling are experienced by them. After adaptation and meaning process, cognitive and affective conditions of them begin to change. They view the problems more positive, and have been able to accept and broad minded the problems faced by them, so that they are motivated to find the solution for their children.

Many institutions or individuals use religious symbols or attributes, but the attitudes they display are often counterproductive to what they represent, including in matters of cleanliness. This research investigates the correlation between education on cleanliness (thaharah) and the health behavior of students in two Islamic boarding schools (pesantren), one urban and one suburban. Based on data analysis using two-way ANOVA, the research reveals that there are differences in the influence of cleanliness education between the two Islamic boarding schools and between male and female students. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between education on cleanliness and students’ health behavior in both Islamic boarding schools when viewed from the perspective of gender.

Amar ma’ruf nahi munkar merupakan ajaran pokok agama Islam. Namun dalam praktiknya seringkali tidak sesuai lagi dengan apa yang diajarkan oleh agama itu sendiri. Bahkan menimbulkan kesan bahwa agama mengajarkan kekerasan. Hal ini beralasan ketika akhir-akhir ini kita memperhatikan apa yang dilakukan oleh kelompok-kelompok tertentu yang mengatasnamakan agama. Oleh karena itu, kajian ulang terhadap hadits yang menjelaskan tentang amar ma’ruf nahi munkar sangat mendesak untuk dilakukan demi mengembalikan pemaknaan yang benar terhadap praktik amar ma’ruf nahi munkar.

The aim of this study was to know the psychological dynamics of child labour in Batik sector in Pekalongan. This case study research applied interview, observation and documentation for collecting data. The findings of this research show that school breakout child labour generally motivated to work only to earn, whereas the school child labour, more motivated by pity feeling of their parents. The children labour affective condition has different ways in order to face the problems of school continuity. Some felt disappointed on failure to continue their school, some felt so-so, and some others felt happy because of school duties-free. Generally, child labour was excited when they help their parents or when they work in the owner of the interprise. They also felt proud because they could help out their parentsí burdens. The school breakout child labour tend to have no any desires for coming back to their school because of feeling happy in working. It differs with the school children, which still have an expectation to continue to the higher education and have aspiration.

To obtain a comprehensive study, I will see the Sufi orderís wisdoms implemented by the adherents of Qadiriyyah Naqshbandiyyah order of Pekalongan ñ by using Weberís theory the spirit of capitalism ñ in order to achieve their economic activities. In addition, how the Is-lamic teachings (tarekat ethics) are transforming their business. In an attempt to bring to the surface of the ethics in economic activities, this study will examine the orderís teachings practiced by the adherents of Qadiriyyah Naqshbandiyyah order of Pekalongan in one period of field research from June to October 2010. This is done by means of a process ñ as objective as possible ñ of description and interpretation. As I study my primary resources (from the books, magazines, websites, and interviews), my attention is focused on the treatment of the sub-ject, how the orderís ethics are articulated, and the way in which they function to observe the religious teachings in their business activities. This paper will explain social and historical background of Qadiriyyah Naqshbandiyyah order of Pekalongan, decribe the teachings and prac-tices which are implemented by the adherents, and finally clarify the influence of its teachings into the business activities of the adherents.

Riset ini mengkaji pengalaman keagamaan mahasiswa STAIN Pekalongan dan pengaruhnya terhadap perubahan (konversi) keagamaan mereka dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa corak pengalaman keagamaan mahasiswa STAIN Pekalongan sangat mempengaruhi konversi keagamaan mereka. Corak kesadaran beragama mereka sebagai dampak konversi keagamaan mereka pun ada yang berpengaruh positif dan ada juga yang negatif, baik bersifat drastis maupun bertahap. Temuan lain, konversi keagamaan tidak selalu terjadi pada masa usia dewasa pertengahan (40-60 tahun) yang dianggap sebagai masa kematangan beragama, tetapi bisa terjadi pada masa remaja akhir dan dewasa awal (18-39 tahun). Faktor yang mempengaruhinya pun bermacam-macam, ada internal: kepribadian dan pembawaan maupun eksternal: keluarga, pendidikan, organisasi kemasyarakatan, tradisi keagamaan, dan lain-lain.
