Abstract

This Community Service aims to organize a Teaching Basic Skills Refreshment Training for teachers of ibtidaiyyah Madrasah in Ambulu Jember, besides that the training participants are able to master the concept of basic teaching skills of teachers as a prerequisite for the implementation of the independent learning program in the classroom, and participants are able to change the views and attitudes of teachers who have a feudal character to the character of humanism teachers. The method used in this community service is to use the lecture method, question and answer and practice or direct simulation. The results of this programs findings obtained are that teachers in carrying out learning must have the ability of teaching skills which include first the skills of opening and closing lessons. Secondly, the skill of explaining the lesson. Third, the skill of asking. Fourth, skills give reinforcement. Fifth, the skill of holding variations. Sixth, the skill of guiding small group discussions. Seventh, individual/individual teaching skills. Eighth, the skill of managing classes.

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the quality of rice husk charcoal products and market access for farmer groups. The project identified key problems faced by farmer groups, particularly related to ineffective product packaging. Using the implementation of socialization, counseling, training, and evaluation we provide training on husk product processing, designing more efficient packaging, and providing guidance on environmentally friendly product practices. The results of this activity include improving the quality of rice husk charcoal products, increasing the income of farmer groups, and wider market access. Product quality improvement is achieved through technical training that includes raw material selection, efficient burning, and proper packaging. Better packaging has opened the door to a wider market, allowing farmer groups to get better selling prices. The sustainable approach also promotes environmentally friendly products in the production of rice husk charcoal. Overall, these community service activities have provided tangible benefits to farmer groups, increased their incomes and sustainability of their agricultural businesses, and provided valuable lessons on community-based approaches and sustainable support in agricultural business development.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out by the KSM (Bachelor of Service Candidate) participant team at Unisma Malang. The target partners are aimed at the elite handy craft wood industry craftsmen in Pandansari village, Malang district, which experienced a 50% decrease in orders from usual. Service activities begin with observations and interviews of target partners to find out their strengths and weaknesses and measure the opportunities and challenges faced by partners. Then a SWOT analysis was carried out and the form of service activities was determined, namely by providing socialization and training on global marketing potential through the Aexi.id marketplace application for elite wood craftsmen and the Pandasari Village community. Before and after the training socialization activities, pre-test and post-test were conducted to measure the level of program success. The results obtained are that the craftsmen and participants are able to understand the material and apply the Aexi.id application directly and it is hoped that it can be applied in sustainable marketing activities to increase the marketing of the products of the elite handy craft wood creative industry during this pandemic..

Abstract

The implementation of face-to-face learning requires strict discipline of healthy behavior. Children are expected to be able to adapt to the new habits they have to face. Disciplining children's healthy behavior during the implementation of limited learning is very important, so that children are protected from the risk of virus transmission. The purpose of community service is to provide an alternative to disciplining children in face-to-face learning through the use of Cognitive Neuroscience-Based Magic Box learning media. The service was held at Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal (ABA) V Kotabumi Kindergarten on October 19 2022. In this activity those involved were lecturers, teachers and students of Muhammadiyah Kotabumi University as well as teachers and students of ABA V Kindergarten as partners. The Magic Box Based on Cognitive Neuroscience is a mystery box as a learning medium for disciplining children's healthy behavior with a game method made for the introduction of concrete objects according to the stages of children's cognitive development. These objects are around children and can be used, such as masks, hand sanitizers, tissues, and so on. The methods in this service activity are socialization, training, mentoring, monitoring and evaluation. The results of this activity are 1. Increasing teacher knowledge and skills in learning neuroscience, 2. Teachers have learning media to increase the introduction of health protocol tools in applying healthy behavior discipline in learning.

Abstract

The exponential growth of technology compellingly compels MSMEs to adapt and seize opportunities particularly for potential MSMEs Pakisrejo Village, located in the Blitar Regency, is a developed village with MSMEs potential. Processed products such as Lompong chips, taro stalks utilized as animal feed, orange candy, and coconut sugar are among the most prominent categories of MSME enterprises. Nonetheless, lack of understanding regarding digitalization and restricted market access impede the growth of MSMEs in these villages. The objective of this service community program is to foster the growth MSMEs, with a particular focus on enhancing their market penetration through the strategic utilization of digital marketing. This initiative recognizes the potential of productive businesses to achieve this goal. The community service program step including Pre-implementation socialization, service preparation, service implementation, mentoring, and result evaluation. The result finding stated that this service community program was a success because 60% MSMEs that attended the workshop demonstrated the ability to apply the information that had been explained during the post-test. This is also accompanied by a surge in sales, as the utilization of a marketplace expands market penetration, enabling the product to reach a significantly broader spectrum of consumers.

Abstract

Tourism village is one of the tourism concepts currently being activated and has attracted many people. Many benefits are obtained, such as increasing local government income, helping the community's economy around the tourism area, and empowering local communities for its management. One tourist attraction that has superior potential is Dilem Wilis Edutourism in Dompyong Village, Trenggalek Regency. Dilem Wilis tourist destination offers a reasonably wide natural Dutch Heritage. However, the vastness of the tourist area that is not in line with the management makes some tourist rides unable to be enjoyed as a whole. In this community service activity, efforts to develop Dilem Wilis Edutourism are carried out through several stages. The landscape 3D model was designed with sketchup software then fabricated with synthetic material of 1:300 scale.  The results of this development stage are realized in a tangible form. There are the manufacture of 3D model of the landscape and the installation of LED strip lights that are useful for attracting tourists to visit because access to lighting is adequate, and the delivery of regional mapping is well conveyed through the Dilem Willis Eduwisata landscape 3D model.

Abstract

Bookkeeping training is carried out by conducting outreach and training to typical food business actors in the Timbul area. The main problem with regional specialty food businesses is that they do not have business records, so they cannot know for sure how much their business profits or losses are. The activity stages begin with observation and initial training preparation. The next stage is the implementation of activities starting from the opening, delivery of material, questions and answers, simulations and practice. The final stage is evaluating the results of the training activities as measured by the level of satisfaction of the training participants. The targets of the training activities are Timbu business actors, totaling 10 MSMEs. The result of the simple bookkeeping training is that Timbu business actors, who have rarely or even never carried out business records or bookkeeping, have been greatly helped by this training. Business actors can now carry out recording or bookkeeping using a simple method that is easy to understand. Apart from that, Timbu business actors have begun to realize the importance of recording or bookkeeping business transactions properly and properly for businesses on a micro, small, medium and large scale. Another benefit obtained by training participants is that Timbu business actors can find out the development of their business by separating personal finances from business finances. The simple bookkeeping training received a positive response and participants were very satisfied with the results of the training that had been carried out

Abstract

Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) are diseases that are not caused by infection with microorganisms such as protozoa, bacteria, fungi or viruses. The aim of this activity is to improve the quality of health and knowledge about health and controlling Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). This method of implementing community service is carried out using approaches and outreach to partners, education, training and evaluation. providing education in the form of counseling about Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM), namely blood sugar and uric acid as well as health screening for blood sugar and uric acid. The stages that have been implemented in this activity have had a positive impact on the knowledge and quality of health of the elderly. This has an important role in providing information for preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs), blood sugar and gout. The results of counseling and screening show that the knowledge of the elderly has increased in the sufficient category and the quality of health based on health screening, blood sugar and uric acid examinations is mostly in the normal category. So based on the data above, health education and screening activities are effective in improving the knowledge and quality of health of the elderly.

Abstract

Poor nutrition can cause stunting in children, where children grow short. Blimbing Village is one of the villages in Mojo District, Kediri Regency that raises dairy cows, but the cow's milk products have not been processed optimally. Based on the above, an effort is made to make nutritional value products made from fresh milk and can increase the selling value of dairy products. This PkM activity was carried out through five stages, namely giving pretest, education, demonstration, product tester, and post-test. Education was given about the benefits, processing, and storage of fresh milk and a demonstration of making Silky Strawberry Milk. At the end of the PkM activity, the Silky Strawberry Milk product that had been made was distributed to the participants. Silky Strawberry Milk can be an alternative dessert to meet children's nutritional needs and prevent stunting and become an alternative business to improve the economy of the community and village MSMEs. This PkM activity can increase the knowledge of participants, this is known from the increase in the average post-test score obtained, which is 94.22. Nutrasetics product innovations that utilise natural resources based on local wisdom need to be improved. This is done as an effort to manage, empower, and increase the economic value of these natural resources. In addition, nutrasetika innovation products can fulfil the fulfilment of nutrition and nutrition of children during growth, thus minimising the occurrence of stunting.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to increase the income of chili farmers' families in Betak Village, Kalidawir District. The program is conducted in response to the low and unstable income of farmers. Factors such as improper fertilizer use, which can lead to soil quality degradation, and pest attacks that often go undetected early, worsen the harvest. Dependence on inefficient traditional irrigation is also a serious issue. The method applied is Participatory Action Research (PAR), based on Paulo Freire's theory, emphasizing active participation of farmers in every stage of the program. The process begins with identifying problems and needs through in-depth interviews and field observations to understand the challenges faced. Together with assisted farmers, an action plan is formulated, including the selection of superior seeds, appropriate cultivation techniques, and effective marketing strategies according to field conditions. Implementation is carried out through technical training and direct field assistance, enabling farmers to apply new knowledge practically. Regular monitoring and evaluation are conducted to measure the progress and effectiveness of this community service program. As a result, the Subur Tani and Keranjang Sayur farmer groups were formed, improving farmers' access to resources and markets while promoting independence and sustainable agricultural development in the village.
