Abstract

Klampar Village in Pamekasan Regency has great potential in the batik industry, with the largest proportion of batik makers in the region. Batik making is the main activity and attraction for tourists. The uniqueness of Klampar batik lies in its richness of colors, with more than three colors in one cloth, including dark brown, black, red and green, which makes it superior to other batik centers. Some batik artisans already have their own UD/CV, showing promising economic potential. The village also has stable internet access, which opens up opportunities for effective digital marketing. The objective of this community service activity is to build the capacity of batik artisans in Klampar Village to use TikTok social media and WhatsApp Business to increase sales of their batik products. This community service activity uses the Asset Based Community Development approach with five stages: inculturation, discovery, design, definition, and reflection. The core of this activity is to provide digital marketing training using TikTok and WhatsApp Business to the target community. As a result of this activity, the community has increased their skills in using TikTok and WhatsApp Business applications to market their batik products. Abstract

Disaster response training serves as both a preventive measure and an investment in community safety and resilience. By equipping students with knowledge and skills in disaster preparedness, this training fosters a generation capable of protecting themselves and minimizing risks and losses. Indonesia's high vulnerability to disasters, particularly in Kediri City, which is prone to floods and earthquakes, underscores the importance of such training. The primary goal is to prepare students to handle emergencies effectively. Using the Participatory Action Research method, students actively participate in disaster evacuation simulations. The training was conducted on May 21, 2024, targeting all students in grades I-VI at SDN YBPK Semampir, Kediri City. Pre-tests and post-tests were used to assess the training's effectiveness, showing significant knowledge improvement, with post-test scores consistently higher. Statistical analysis confirms this with a significant difference (p < 0.001). The training has proven successful at SD YBPK Semampir, enhancing students' disaster preparedness. To sustain this impact, it is recommended that the training be conducted regularly, involve parents, and develop more comprehensive modules. These steps can strengthen disaster awareness and preparedness in schools and the community. Further development of this initiative should include in-depth needs assessments and improved training modules.

Abstract

This study highlights the urgent need to empower the youth generation to actively engage in the international community in addressing sustainability challenges. Issues such as climate change, social inequality, and food security require innovative solutions driven by young people. This community service initiative was designed to enhance youth participation through education, collaboration, and digital engagement. The program was conducted virtually via Zoom and involved participants from Sriwijaya University, Indonesia; Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan; and ENS Lyon, France. The primary objective of this initiative was to equip youth with essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for contributing to sustainable development. The methodology employed included online workshops, interactive discussions, and collaborative projects focusing on sustainability practices. During the implementation phase, participants engaged in knowledge-sharing sessions, case study analyses, and social media campaigns to promote awareness and collective action. The results indicated that youth empowerment through targeted training and cross-border collaboration significantly enhances their capacity to address global issues effectively. The program demonstrated the role of digital technology and international networking in fostering sustainable practices among young individuals. Future initiatives should expand to include more diverse participants and incorporate hands-on community projects to further strengthen youth contributions to global sustainability efforts.

Abstract

Accounting learning at the secondary school level often faces obstacles in conveying basic concepts, especially in understanding the accounting equation. Students often experience difficulties in recording and processing financial transactions systematically due to the limitations of manual learning methods. To overcome this problem, Lecturers at Catur Insan Cendekia University (UCIC) Cirebon held Community Service activities in the form of training on the use of the Microsoft Excel application as a tool in learning accounting equations at Putera Nirmala High School - Cirebon City. This activity aims to improve students' understanding and skills in utilizing Microsoft Excel to compile and analyze financial transactions more effectively and efficiently. The implementation method uses a service learning (SL) approach, which includes material presentation, demonstration of relevant Excel features, and hands-on practice with accounting equation case studies. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' ability to apply Microsoft Excel to prepare simple financial reports. With this training, it is hoped that accounting learning in high school can be more interactive, innovative and in line with developments in digital technology.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the low level of understanding and skills among headmasters, teachers, and staff in implementing the Headmaster Performance Assessment (PKKM) at Madrasah Aliyah Bulukunyi. The aim of this activity was to improve the capacity and readiness of partners in understanding and applying PKKM effectively. The implementation method used the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach with four stages: socialization, education, training, and evaluation. The training was conducted through workshops and both individual and group mentoring over two months. Evaluation was carried out using pre-tests and post-tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding from 40% to 85%, and engagement from 50% to 90%. In addition, 90% of participants reported improved skills in preparing PKKM documents and felt more confident in implementation. The main obstacles faced were limited time, varying levels of initial understanding among participants, and a lack of supporting facilities. Nevertheless, the activity successfully raised collective awareness of the importance of PKKM and had a positive impact on improving school management. It is recommended that this program be continued periodically with enhanced learning tools and the involvement of school supervisors.
