Abstract

The development of Islamic guidance and counseling services requires innovation, one of which is through the use of film media. Films are able to present the dynamics of emotions and psychological conflicts that are relevant to the lives of counselees. The Wonder Egg Priority anime presents issues of trauma, inner wounds, and self-acceptance that are closely related to the forgiveness therapy process. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the Wonder Egg Priority anime and its integration with the perspective of Islamic guidance and counseling to produce innovative services. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Researchers use data analysis techniques in the form of multimodal discourse analysis on films, allowing researchers to explore the deep meaning of the elements contained in the video or film. The results of the study show that: (1) The characters in the anime have complex conflicts, as conflicts that often occur among teenagers such as past trauma, conflicts with family, and unresolved inner wounds (2) The Wonder Egg Priority anime contains aspects of forgiveness therapy (forgiving oneself, forgiving others, and forgiving situations/circumstances) and stages of forgiveness therapy (self- disclosure, decision stage, action-taking stage, and deepening stage); (3) The Wonder Egg Priority anime is in line with forgiveness therapy from the perspective of Islamic guidance and counseling because it emphasizes cleansing the heart, patience, and compassion.

Abstract

The implementation of guidance and counseling services for BK teachers is expected to be able to provide services according to its stages. The purpose of this study is to reveal the partial significant influence of content mastery services on the formation of assertive behavior, to reveal the partial significant influence of token economy techniques on the formation of assertive behavior, to reveal the joint influence of content mastery services with economy techniques on the formation of assertive behavior. Based on the results of the study in the form of instrument products, it can be confirmed that Content Mastery services (X1) with Token Economy (X2) on Student Assertive Behavior (Y), and every increase in Variable X1 with X2 will be followed by an increase of 1% will be followed by an increase in variable Y of 0.846%. This proves that Content Mastery services with Token Economy Techniques that are well organized are very effective in improving assertive behavior.

Abstract

Self-confidence is an essential aspect of students’ personal development, influencing their ability to socialize, make decisions, and face challenges both in school and everyday life. However, many students still exhibit low self-confidence, such as fear of speaking in public and hesitation to express opinions. Therefore, engaging and enjoyable media are needed to help students become more open and motivated to develop their self-confidence through group guidance services. This study is a Research and Development (R&D) project aimed at producing a group guidance medium in the form of a Snakes and Ladders Truth or Dare game to enhance students’ self-confidence. The trial results indicated that the media received positive responses; students became more active, enthusiastic, and confident in expressing their opinions and interacting with others. Thus, the Snakes and Ladders Truth or Dare game is considered an effective and innovative medium for facilitating the development of students’ self-confidence in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the school’s efforts to foster social empathy and positive character as a preventive strategy against bullying behavior and the formation of crab mentality culture in the school environment. This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at MTsN 1 Lamongan, focusing on the 7F class students as research subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation to explore the experiences of students, counseling teachers, and homeroom teachers in addressing bullying and peer-undermining behaviors. The findings reveal that bullying in class 7F predominantly takes verbal and social forms that are often perceived as harmless jokes but significantly affect students’ self-confidence and learning motivation. The crab mentality culture emerges from the normalization of mockery toward high-achieving students, leading to social fear and hindering the development of positive character. Through group counseling activities, empathy training, and student appreciation programs, the school successfully strengthened social empathy values, fostered mutual respect, and created a more supportive and inclusive learning environment. This study emphasizes the importance of character education in shaping a healthy, empathetic, and bullying-free school culture.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services in improving the ability of ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 10 Salatiga to choose further education schools. The background of this study was based on the low ability of some students to make independent and rational decisions regarding further school selection, as indicated by their tendency to follow peers’ choices or external influences without considering their interests, talents, and personal potential. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of an experimental group and a control group selected through purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires on students’ ability to choose further education schools, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test and N-Gain analysis to determine the effectiveness of the service. The results showed that group guidance services were effective in improving students’ ability to select further education schools. This was evidenced by a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the posttest results, as well as a higher N-Gain score in the experimental group. Group guidance services helped students improve their understanding of information related to further education schools, identify their interests and personal potential, and develop more rational educational decision-making skills. The effectiveness of the service was influenced by group dynamics, peer discussions, and self-exploration processes that developed through interactions among group members. Therefore, group guidance services can serve as an effective strategy to help junior high school students make independent, well-directed, and appropriate decisions regarding further education choices based on their interests and potential.

Abstract

he phenomenon of digital dopamine refers to the release of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain in response to instant digital stimulation from devices, social media, and online games. This article aims to comprehensively examine the concept of digital dopamine, its impact on children's behavior and psychological functions, as well as practical measures to address it within family and school contexts. The method employed is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach, analyzing 25 primary sources consisting of psychology journals, neuroscience journals, guidance and counseling journals, and reports from international organizations published between 2019 and 2026. The findings indicate that digital dopamine contributes to decreased focus capacity, increased impulsivity, impaired emotional regulation, and a tendency toward addictive device use. Mitigation strategies include gradual digital detoxification, activity substitution, implementation of device-free zones, and strengthening the roles of parents and school counselors. This article affirms that digital dopamine is not merely a metaphor but a neurobiological phenomenon that necessitates a systematic approach based on family dynamics and guidance and counseling services in school.

Abstract

Early marriage in Rerebe Village, Tripe Jaya District, Gayo Lues Regency has a negative impact on family resilience. The impact of early marriage on couples who marry at an early age and several factors that influence family resilience for couples who marry at an early age in influencing family resilience. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. The qualitative approach was chosen because this study aims to understand in depth the phenomenon of early marriage seen from the perspective of family resilience in Rerebe Village, Tripe Jaya District, Gayo Lues Regency. Based on the results of research conducted on four married couples in total (8 people) who married at an early age in Rerebe Village, Tripe Jaya District, Gayo Lues Regency, it can be concluded that early marriage has a significant negative impact on family resilience in various dimensions, namely economic, social, psychological, and childcare and education dimensions. And there are several factors that influence family resilience.

Abstract

The changing dynamics of the times, marked by three major waves: the Globalization Era, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0), and Society 5.0, have created both challenges and transformative opportunities for the Guidance and Counseling (BK) profession. Globalization demands that counselors possess global insight, sensitivity to students' psychological issues (Dahlan, 2017), and the ability to integrate local wisdom. Meanwhile, the Industrial Revolution 4.0 ushered in an era of disruption (El Fiah et al., 2021), producing a multitasking digital generation prone to psychosocial problems. This requires counselors to transform into innovators and prepare students to be adaptive and develop strong character. Ultimately, Society 5.0 offers a technology-based, human- centered society (Sugiono, 2020), where counselors are required to integrate digital technology (cybercounseling) without sacrificing the humanistic essence of service. Through this literature review, it was identified that the future relevance of guidance and counseling services depends heavily on two pillars of competency: Humanist Competence, which prioritizes social justice, cross-cultural understanding, and local wisdom; and Digital Competence, which encompasses digital media proficiency and soft skills. In conclusion, the guidance and counseling profession must immediately undertake a holistic and systematic transformation to ensure that the services provided remain effective, adaptive, and capable of producing a superior generation ready to face the complexities of global and digital challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of career development in shaping employee job attachment and analyze whether gender affects or serves as a moderator variable in the relationship between career development and work engagement among government employees with work agreements in X town. This research employs a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design and a simple random sampling technique. Data were obtained from 265 respondents who had attended a competency development training program, using two psychological scales to measure career development and job attachment. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive tests, independent t-tests, and regression analysis. The result showed that gender does not moderate the relationship between career development and work engagement. There is a difference in work engagement based on gender, where female employees tend to have a higher level of work engagement than their male counterparts. These findings suggest that well-designed career development can enhance work engagement, regardless of gender, and has a direct impact on government institutions to optimize human resource management strategies. Future research is recommended to consider other factors that can influence work engagement so that the results obtained are more in-depth and applicable.

Abstract

Technological developments in the era of Society 5.0 have encouraged all sectors of education and human services to transform, including Islamic guidance and counseling. The traditional counseling paradigm, which focuses on face-to-face relationships, is now shifting towards an integrative model that combines spiritual intelligence and digital intelligence. This article aims to analyze the paradigm shift in Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) in the context of digital transformation, as well as how spiritual intelligence continues to function as the core value and ethical foundation in the service process. The writing method uses a literature study of books, SINTA journal articles, and publications related to educational technology. The results of the analysis show that BKI has undergone shifts in terms of epistemology, service strategies, counselor competencies, and counseling media, but it still maintains its main objectives, namely tazkiyah an-nafs and character building. This article offers an integrative Spiritual–Digital Counseling Framework model as a new direction for the development of BKI in the era of a super-smart society.
