Perguruan tinggi seharusnya terpanggil untuk menjawab tantangan-tantangan di atas melalui pelaksanaan darma ketiga pengabdian pada masyarakat, dan panggilan tersebut sejauh ini sudah banyak dilakukan namun program-program yang betul-betul pokus pada sasaran masih perlu diperbaiki, terutama mengeksplor potensi ekonomi kreatif yan gsejak lama ada dan sedang tumbuh di masyarakat. Berdasar pada latarbelakang itulah seminar nasional dengan Tema “Peran Penelitian dalam Menunjang Percepatan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan di Indonesia” penting untuk dilakukan. Seminar ini diharapkan akan member motivasi dan inspirasi, terutama kepada pengabdi untuk melahirkan berbagai karya, produk dan konsep aplikatif, terutama terkait dengan produk berbasis akselerasi percepatan pembangunan nasional.

Abstract

The rise of the practice of prostitution carried out by migrant women in Wajo --- raises the problem - anomalies of disharmony and the weakening of social and cultural moral order. The practice of prostitution, which is carried out by migrant women, is understood as a complex social problem. Prostitution as a social pathology, is - hypermodern, which is caused by various factors (including push factors) such as: the condition of women themselves, the drive to fulfill economic needs, sexual desire, weak social order (including omission by unscrupulous village officials) --- a number of factors this includes, --- the source of anomic problems, - in the constellation, the creation of a social order that is as hard as, far from the norm perspective, in the social structure of the Bugis Makassar culture in Wajo.

Abstract

The meaning of dance movements certainly cannot be equated with the meaning of a word or language in which almost all words can be explained as meaning in the motion contained in a dictionary, although there are several forms of motion art that can be interpreted every movement made for example pantomime, but the motion in dance is not because the meaning contained therein is usually related to the philosophy or philosophy of life of a society or for certain needs. Like the people of South Sulawesi, which consists of hundreds of tribes and ethnicities, of course, have different cultural and artistic forms and are full of meaning that is directly related to the lives of the people. One of them is Pabitte Passapu Dance at a wedding ceremony in the Kajang sub-district community in Bulukumba Regency.

Abstract

Belum adanya perangkat literasi keuangan yang memadai sebagai alat ukur penelitian terkait literasi keuangan menjadi salah satu alasan utama untuk mengkaji instrumennya melalui penelitian ini. Hasil uji yang diteliti ialah uji reliabilities dan uji normalitas angket. Angket ayng di uji ialah angket yang sudah di adptasi dari berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan. Hasil uji menunjukan bahwa perangkat instrument yang diuji adalah sangat kredibel dan memiliki angka normalitas yang diterima sebagai instrumen penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini bisa menjadi referensi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut untuk skala menengah dan besar dengan melibat multi sumber data dan berbagai level baik demografi maupun status sosial.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out:  (1) knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and behavior to provide healthy latrine before and after training, 2) the effect of training in increasing knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and behavior in providing people healthy latrine in Laringgi Village, Soppeng Regency. This research is an experimental research located in the village of Laringgi, Soppeng Regency. The amount of respondents are 25 households selected by the purposive sampling method. The variables considered are as follows: (a) behavior of providing healthy latrine, (b) knowledge about healthy latrine, (c) attitudes towards healthy latrine, and (d) motivation to provide healthy latrine before and after the experiment, (e) the effect of training on increased knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and behavior to provide healthy latrine. The experimental design used was one group pretest-posttest desigen. Analysis of the data used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. The analysis model used is the independent t-test. The results of the study are as follows: (1) knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and behavior of the people in the village of Laringgi, Soppeng Regency, providing healthy latrine before being trained in the low category, after being trained in the very high category, (2) Training has a significant influence on increased knowledge, attitudes, motivation, and people behavior towards healthy latrine in the village of Laringgi, Soppeng Regency.

Abstract

This article describes the importance of the socio-cultural movement in an effort to strengthen the Indonesian spirit in the midst of increasingly globalized relations between nations. Admittedly, there is a kind of anxiety over Indonesia that is plural and multicultural in the verge of fighting among fellow children of the nation because of disagreements in the management of national and state life. The founders of this nation have taken pains to frame Indonesia in one knit together by setting aside differences. Therefore, when the ideals of the founders of this nation must be buried with ideas that negate the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia based on Pancasila, all efforts and efforts must be mobilized to contain it. The majority Muslim community in this country must take the role of maintaining the sovereignty of the Indonesian state while still striving to advance the nuances of humanity and avoid the path of violence so that Islam can show its existence as a blessing for all life.

Abstract

This study aims to obtain a picture related to the internalization of the Raodatul Mujaddid institute on spiritual intelligence for students at the Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University and to make suggestions on classical guidance topics to improve students' spiritual intelligence. This research is a descriptive research with survey method. The research subjects consisted of 50 people taken with a simple randomized system that is homogeneous. The research instrument used was a questionnaire that revealed things that were internal to the Da'wah Raodatul Mujaddid Institute of Engineering at the Makassar State University related to the level of spiritual intelligence of students which included several signs of spiritual intelligence, namely flexible, high awareness, ability to deal with suffering , the ability to deal with pain, the quality of life inspired by a vision based on norms and unwillingness to do harmful things, and a tendency to be independent. The data analysis technique used is the categorization of students' intelligence at the Makassar State University Faculty of Engineering based on Azwar's criteria, that there are three levels of student intelligence, namely, low, medium and high. The results showed that with the activities carried out by the Da'wah Raodatul Mujaddid Mentors, there were no 2018-2019 students who had low intelligence, but from the research subjects who were respondents that 29 students had moderate intelligence and 21 students who have a high level of intelligence. Based on the distributed questionnaire items showed that the level of intelligence of students in general is still in the medium category so that researchers propose classical guidance that is appropriate for their improvement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the influence of ecosystem knowledge, environmental conservation knowledge, environmental knowledge, motivation to preserve the environment, and environmental environment both individually and collectively on community behavior to improve environmental quality in the coastal areas of Maros Regency.  The variables that are considered in this study are the dependent variable that is people's behavior to improve the quality of the environment of the coastal area (Y) and the independent variables are: (a) knowledge of coastal ecosystems (X1); (b) knowledge of environmental conservation (X2); (c) environmental knowledge (X3); (d) motivation to maintain the environment (X4); and (e) Attitudes towards the environment of coastal areas (X5).  The analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis and statistical statistical analysis. The analysis model used is simple regression and multiple regression. The results of the study are as follows: (1) people's behavior in improving the quality of the environment in the coastal area of Maros Regency is classified as moderate. (2) knowledge of ecosystems, conservation knowledge, environmental knowledge, motivation to maintain the environment, and attitudes towards the environment of the community in the coastal area of Maros Regency are classified as moderate, influential both individually, and jointly on community behavior to improve the quality of the environment in the region the coast of Maros Regency

Abstract

This study aims to: a) improve the learning outcomes of acetylene welding oxy learning students in SMK Negeri 3 Makassar; b) get evidence of an increase in the learning outcomes of oxy acetelin welding at SMK Negeri 3 Makassar. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in 2 cycles. This study uses the Kemmis & Taggart design which includes planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting activities. Data collection uses observation techniques, field notes, and interviews. Based on the results of the study in each cycle it appears that before the action is carried out the value of 67.61 with a graduation rate of 13.89%, after taking action in the first cycle, the value of students gained by students increases to 70.95 with a graduation rate 60.22%, then the second cycle increased the average value to 84.19 with a passing rate of 100%. To clarify the increase in the assessment of the work that has been carried out. Student learning outcomes after using the Project Based Learning learning model has increased, so that the level of student scores by 100% with a very good category. These results can be concluded that the Project Based Learning learning model can improve the learning outcomes of students in the learning of oxy acetylene welding, it also has an impact on improving the learning achievement of oxy acetylene welding.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning media for motorcycle electrical practices that are valid, practical and effective for use in Motorcycle Technology courses majoring in Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University. The motorcycle electrical system that was developed consisted of the body's electrical system and the signs and engine ignition systems. The results of media validation by motorcycle media trainer experts stated that the developed media was valid. As well as the results of user (student) assessments and the results of their implementation, the developed media was declared practical. The quasi-experimental results of the control group with the experimental group gave better results than the control group. This indicates that the electric motorbike practice model of the whole model motorbike developed was effectively used for practice in the Motorcycle Technology course at the Department of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Makassar State University.

Abstract

This study aims to explore in depth information about why and how hypocritical acts occur towards condoms in the dynamics of social relations in the city of Makassar and theoretical solutions that can be developed to eliminate hypocritical actions towards condoms. This research method is qualitative by using a hermeneutic-phenomenological approach which data is collected through in-depth interviews with 8 key informants that obtained through snowball sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that individual hypocritical actions towards condoms are caused by religious norms, cultural values and previous experience in using condoms. The theoretical solution offered in an effort to change hypocritical actions to become non-hypocritical towards using condoms is the formation of individual understanding through the institutionalization of local wisdom as one of the medical devices as the same with other medical devices in the dynamics of social relations.
