Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan etnomatematika di Jambi Kota Seberang. Penelitian ini menggunakan etnografi dan hasil observasi sebagai sumber data. Masyarakat menggunakan konsep matematika yang lebih detail pada bangunan Gentala Arasy. Bangunan ini merepresentasikan berbagai macam bentuk geometri. Bagian bawah berbentuk balok, bagian tengah berbentuk prisma segi delapan, bagian atas berbentuk silinder dan puncaknya berbentuk separuh elipsoida. Gentala Arasy dapat dijadikan sebagai referensi untuk sumber belajar dalam pembelajaran matematika di Sekolah. Kata Kunci: Etnomatematika, Budaya Masyarakat Jambi Kota Seberang ABSTRACT This study aims to explore ethnomathematics in Jambi Kota Seberang. This study used ethnograph and observation result as data resource. Jambinese built Gentala Arasy which represent various geometry objects. The bottom part is a cuboid, the middle part is an octagonal prism, the upper part is a cylinder, and the highest part is a semi ellipsoide. It is recommended to use Gentala Arasy as reference to learn mathematics. Keywords: Ethnomathematics, Jambi Kota Seberang culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether the probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform was effective in improving students' mathematical communication and to find out whether the mathematical communication of students taught by the probing-prompting learning model is higher than the mathematical communication of students taught by conventional learning. The method used is a quantitative research type of experiment. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Socah, while the samples in this study were class VII-A as the experimental class and VII-B as the control class. This research was conducted from April to July 2021. The instrument used is an observation sheet on the teacher's ability to manage learning with a probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform, observation sheet on students' mathematical communication skills taught using the probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform, as well as pretest and posttest sheets. The effective aspect is shown by the average observation result of the teacher's ability to manage learning with the probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform of 3.6 which is in the very good category; the average observation result of students' mathematical communication skills who were taught using the probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform was 62.47% in the high category; and completeness of student learning by 100%. Based on the results of the independent sample t-test, the mathematical communication of students who were taught using the probing-prompting learning model using the google meet platform was higher than the mathematical communication of students who were taught using conventional learning. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) manakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang lebih baik antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS, model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS, atau model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dan individual, dan (3) apakah terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain posttest only control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri 1 Subah kelas VIII tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Sampel yang diambil dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis variansi satu jalan sel tak sama. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: (1) model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS menghasilkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang sama, dan kedua model pembelajaran tersebut menghasilkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang lebih baik daripada model pembelajaran konvensional, (2) kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dan individual, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh keaktifan belajar siswa pada model pembelajaran SAVI berbantuan LKS dan model pembelajaran REACT berbantuan LKS terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Model pembelajaran SAVI dan REACT berbantuan LKS dapat digunakan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, LKS, REACT, SAVI. The results showed that: (1) SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS produced the same mathematical communication skills, and both learning models produced students' mathematical communication skills better than conventional learning models, (2) ability Mathematical communication of students who obtain SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS reaches classical and individual completeness, and (3) there is an effect of student learning activeness on SAVI learning models assisted by LKS and REACT learning models assisted by LKS on students' mathematical communication skills. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku kerja berbasis konstruktivisme yang valid untuk materi himpunan di STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. Materi himpunan diajarkan pada mata kuliah Pengantar Dasar Matematika pada mahasiswa semester 2. Penelitian mengikuti model umum desain penelitian Plomp, yaitu preliminary research, prototyping phase, dan assessment phase, yang mana penelitian ini hanya membahas tahap prototyping phase. Tahap preliminary research telah selesai dilaksanakan dengan kesimpulan adalah siswa membutuhkan bahan ajar yang dapat membangun pengetahuan baru sehingga memudahkan mereka dalam memahami materi dan membangun pengetahuan mereka, yaitu buku kerja berbasis konstruktivisme. Data lembar validasi dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan diperoleh rata-rata 2,82. Hasil angket dan pedoman wawancara menyatakan bahwa buku kerja praktis digunakna. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa buku kerja berbasis konstruktivisme Pengantar Dasar Matematika valid dari segi kelayakan isi, penyajian, kebahasaan, dan kegrafikaan, serta praktis digunakan berdasarkan waktu, penggunaan, dan manfaat.

Abstract

This qualitative research is a preliminary study of a 4-D model development research that aims to describe the basic problems, student characteristics, the formulation of learning outcomes, and specific learning goals as the initial stage of developing a high order thinking skills (HOTS) exercise bank based on 3N in Algebra. Research subjects at the analysis stage of student characteristics are all students taking Algebra courses in Mathematics Education Department Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa for the 2019/2020 academic year. Data were collected using a literature study, observation, documentation. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively with the following steps: (1) preparing the data, (2) data coding, (3) searching for findings, (4) constructing the framework, and interpreting the data. The results of this study are: (1) Algebra learning centered on lecturers and students has difficulty solving non-routine problems, (2) there are only 1.59% of students who implemented to check the correctness of solutions in solving HOTS problems, (3) CPMK Algebra, and (4) formulation of specific learning goals. These results are used as a reference in the design stage of exercise bank development. Keywords: high order thinking, exercise bank, problem-solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan penalaran dan kemandirian belajar pada materi persamaan garis lurus siswa SMP. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Tempat penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi pada kelas VIII semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2017-2018. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi pada materi Persamaan Garis Lurus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII E. Untuk memperoleh data penelitian digunakan instrumen berupa tes soal uraian dan angket kemandirian belajar. Hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan: (1) tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam penyelesaian masih level rendah; (2) kesulitan siswa pada umunya belum memahami soal dan prakonsep masih rendah; (3) siswa belum tertanam rasa belajar secara mandiri. Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran matematis, kemandirian belajar. ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the ability of reasoning and self-regulated learning on the material of equations of straight lines of junior high school students. This research method using qualitative descriptive method. This research is conducted in SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi in Grade VIII of academic year 2017-2018. The population of this study is the students of class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Cimahi who have studied the material of the equation of straight line. The subject of the research is the students of class VIII E. To obtain the research data used the instrument in the form of test description and questionnaire self-regulated learning. The results of the research concluded: (1) the level of students' mathematical reasoning ability in the problem solving is still low level; (2) students' difficulties in general have not understood the problem and the preconception is still low; (3) students have not embedded the sense of learning independently. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan students worksheet berbahasa Inggris dengan pendekatan Problem Based Learning yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) digunakan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah Matematika Diskrit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) yang menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D Define (Pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan), dan Disseminate (Penyebaran) yang telah dimodifikasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket penilaian oleh ahli materi dan bahasa untuk menentukan kevalidan, angket kepraktisan, dan tes untuk menentukan keefektifan. Student worksheet yang dikembangkan telah layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena telah memenuhi syarat valid, praktis, dan efektif. Student worksheet ini dapat melatih mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah-masalah yang terjadi dengan menggunakan konsep teori graf. Di samping itu, dengan menggunakan student worksheet, mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuannya dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris. Kata kunci: student worksheet, aplikasi graf, matematika diskrit. ABSTRACT This research aims to produce an student worksheet using English with Problem based Learning approach. The quality of student worksheet generated based on aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. This research is developmental research with develops discrete mathematics student worksheet using the development model adapted from Thiagarajan and Semmel (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). The instruments used include a learning device assessment sheet to measure validity, practicality questionnaires to measure practicality, and concept comprehension tests to measure effectiveness. The result of this study indicate that the student worksheet develop is valid, practical, and effective. The student worksheet give excercise for student to solve the problems using graph application. Students can increase their abilities in English using this student worksheet. Abstract

This research is motivated by previous researchers and the facts in the field that students’ mathematical communication skills have not been trained properly, and there are various levels of difficulty experienced by students in learning mathematics, while the influencing factor is one of the affective aspects, namely self-regulated learning. This study aims to describe students’ mathematical communication skills in terms of self-regulated learning. The subjects of this study were 60 students of MAN Simalungun class X. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The instrument in this study is a written test of mathematical communication skills and a non-test in the form of a self-regulated learning questionnaire. The results showed that: 1) there were significant differences in mathematical communication skills between students with low, medium, and high self-regulated learning categories; 2) there are significant differences in students’ mathematical communication skills in terms of the dimensions of self-regulated learning, namely motivation; time management; self-testing; and using academic resources. This research is a basic reference to reveal the relationship between mathematical communication skills and students’ self-regulated learning abilities. Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika merupakan salah satu tujuan pendidikan nasional di Indonesia, tetapi pencapaiannya masih tergolong rendah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian posstest-only. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purpose sampling. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 60 peserta didik yang terbagi dalam dua kelas (30 kelas eksperimen dan 30 kelas kontrol). Penelitian ini dilakukan di sekolah SMP N 10 Bekasi dan SMP N 26 Bekasi. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan model pembelajaran teamdengan strategi pembelajaran tugas dan paksa, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran . Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji beda rata-rata sampel bebas. Hasil analisis data menunjukan bahwa rata-rata nilai peserta didik yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran team assisted individualization dengan strategi tugas dan paksa lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan rata-rata nilai peserta didik yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Mathematical problem solving ability is an ability that belongs to the national education goals, but its achievement is still relatively low. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method with a poststest-only research design. Sampling in this study uses purpose sampling technique. The study sample consisted of 60 students divided into two classes (30 experimental classes and 30 control classes). This research was conducted in the school of SMP N 10 Bekasi and SMP N 26 Bekasi. The experimental class uses team individualization learning models with task and forced learning strategies, while the control class uses direct learning. The collected data is then analyzed using independent sample t-test. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of students who learned using the team assisted individualization learning model with higher task and forced strategies compared to the average value of students who learned using direct learning models.
