Abstract

This study aims to design a Business Intelligence dashboard to support operational performance monitoring in Freight Forwarding Project Cargo services at PT XYZ. The company currently relies on manual reporting processes by exporting operational data from SAP and Microsoft SharePoint into spreadsheet files, resulting in inefficiencies and difficulties in monitoring shipment activities. This research adopts the Data Warehouse Lifecycle methodology using The Nine Steps of Kimball approach. Operational data obtained from SAP and Microsoft SharePoint were processed through the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) stages using Power Query and visualized using Microsoft Power BI Desktop. The resulting dashboard provides key performance indicators (KPIs), including Total Shipment, Delayed Shipment, Average Lead Time, Average Delay Time, and On-Time Shipment Percentage, along with supporting visualizations for operational analysis. The implementation results indicate that the dashboard is capable of integrating operational data into a centralized platform and presenting information interactively to support monitoring activities and operational decision-making. The developed dashboard is expected to improve reporting efficiency, enhance visibility of shipment performance, and support data-driven decision-making within the company.

Abstract

The increasing use of web applications in various sectors has made security a major concern due to the high risk of attacks targeting the application layer. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the F5 Web Application Firewall (F5 WAF) in mitigating vulnerabilities in the OWASP Juice Shop application. Testing was conducted using 10 attack scenarios including SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR), and Information Disclosure before and after F5 WAF implementation. The test results showed that all tested attack scenarios were successfully mitigated after F5 WAF implementation. These findings indicate that the F5 WAF is able to provide effective protection against various vulnerabilities at the application layer and improve the security of web applications in the test environment used.

Abstract

The availability of timely, accurate, and relevant information is essential for supporting managerial decision-making in hospitals. However, information at RSUD Pameungpeuk Garut is primarily presented in conventional tabular reports, limiting its ability to meet the diverse information needs of different management levels. This study aimed to develop a hospital information dashboard prototype based on an assessment of users' information needs to support managerial decision-making. This study employed a qualitative approach within a Research and Development (R&D) framework using the Prototype model of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) involving representatives from middle and lower management levels. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, coding, categorization, and thematic analysis to identify users' information requirements, which subsequently informed the dashboard design.The findings revealed that information needs varied across management levels. Top managementrequired concise strategic information for organizational decision-making, middle management needed analytical information for monitoring and performance evaluation, whereas lower management required detailed operational information to support daily activities and routine reporting. Based on these findings, three dashboard prototypes were developed: strategic, tactical, and operational dashboards, each tailored to the specific information requirements of its intended users.The proposed dashboard prototype is expected to improve the accessibility and presentation of managerial information while supporting more effective, evidence-based decision-making. Furthermore, the findings provide a practical foundation for developing an integrated hospital information dashboard within the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS).

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has led to an increasing demand for effective security systems to protect user information. One popular method is two-factor authentication (2FA), which adds another layer of protection beyond passwords. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of 2FA implementation in increasing user trust when accessing digital services. The method used in this study was a quantitative approach, collecting data through questionnaires administered to a group of respondents who use digital applications. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to explore the relationship between 2FA use and user trust levels. The study findings indicate that most respondents feel more secure and trust systems that use 2FA compared to those that only implement single-factor authentication. Furthermore, the statistical analysis indicates a positive correlation between 2FA implementation and increased user trust. Thus, it can be concluded that user views of 2FA are generally positive. This research is expected to serve as a reference for system developers in improving user security and convenience.

Abstract

The Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) of Jambi City is a government institution that provides various public services, including visitor administration services. The manual guest registration process causes several problems such as difficulties in data retrieval, risk of data loss, and inefficient visitor information management. This study aims to design a web-based guest book information system to improve service efficiency at the PUPR Office of Jambi City. The research applied the Waterfall method, which consists of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The system was developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results indicate that the web-based guest book information system facilitates visitor registration, accelerates data retrieval, supports visitor report management, and improves administrative service efficiency. The implementation of this system makes visitor data management more organized, effective, and accessible.

Abstract

PT Matra Digital Group is a company operating in the digital and information technology sector, managing four business units: Dezainla (printing and apparel manufacturing), Mits (device repair services), Sewain (device rental), and Marco Digital Partner (digital marketing). This research was conducted to formulate a strategic information systems and information technology (IS/IT) plan capable of supporting data integration, real-time operational monitoring, and more effective management decision-making. The methodology implemented is the Ward and Peppard framework. This approach involved a profound evaluation of the external business environment (PEST and Porter's Five Forces), alongside an in-depth assessment of the organization's internal business environment (Value Chain) as well as its internal and macro IS/IT ecosystems. The study's findings indicate that the company's current information systems operate in isolation (siloed) across departments, thereby triggering data multi-interpretation and hindering operational alignment. Based on this evaluation, the outputs of this research formulate strategic recommendations for IS, IT, and IS/IT governance, as well as an application portfolio mapped via the McFarlan Strategic Grid. The primary implementation focus is directed toward an ERP-like Integrated Information System, a Business Intelligence Dashboard, and an Integrated Financial System, which are projected to accelerate the company's long-term digital governance.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a company that offers software and application development services. PT XYZ's website faces several issues, including an unappealing visual appearance, disorganized homepage content, and an admin management system that is difficult to use independently. This research aims to redesign PT XYZ's website to be more modern, professional, responsive, and easily developed as a medium for the company to inform the public. The development was carried out using the Laravel framework, Bootstrap as a responsive CSS framework, MySQL as the database, and Firebase Analytics for monitoring visitor behavior. System testing was conducted using Black Box Testing. The results of the Black Box Testing on 12 test scenarios showed that all features functioned well. The system evaluation involved 30 respondents through a questionnaire whose validity was tested using Pearson Correlation and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. The validity test results showed that all 10 statements were declared valid with calculated r values ranging from 0.450 to 0.752, all exceeding the table r value of 0.374 at a 5% significance level. The reliability test results showed a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.82, thus the instrument was declared reliable. The redesigned PT XYZ website successfully meets all functional requirements and is suitable for use as a medium for the company's information and communication with the public.

Abstract

This study aims to apply the linear regression method in analyzing the trend of internet usage via mobile phones across all provinces in Indonesia based on data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period 2020–2024. Internet access through mobile phones is the dominant medium in Indonesia, with the national average ranging from 98.25% to 99.11% during the period. This study uses secondary data from BPS covering 34 provinces in Indonesia. The analysis method used is simple linear regression with year as the independent variable (X) and the national average percentage of internet usage via mobile phones as the dependent variable (Y). The analysis produced the regression equation Y = -276.01 + 0.1853X with a coefficient of determination R² = 0.7831, meaning approximately 78.31% of the variation in internet usage growth can be explained by the time factor (year). Based on this regression model, internet usage via mobile phones in Indonesia is predicted to reach 99.27% in 2025. The results indicate a consistent positive trend in mobile internet usage in Indonesia, although provincial variations exist.

Abstract

Digital transformation is essential for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational data management and service delivery. The employee cooperative at the Immigration Office Class I TPI Jambi still relies on semi-manual transaction management, causing recording delays, calculation errors, and difficulties in producing timely and accurate reports. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Smart Cashier System with Point of Sale (POS) and real-time transaction management features to support cooperative digitalization. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, covering requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Its novelty lies in integrating POS, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), a payment gateway, real-time inventory updates, and automated reporting within a single web-based cooperative information system. The results show that the system successfully integrates product management, sales transactions, inventory control, and automated reporting. Black Box Testing conducted on 10 functional scenarios produced a 100% success rate, with all scenarios achieving PASS status. These findings confirm that the system meets the specified functional requirements. Its implementation is expected to improve operational efficiency, accelerate transaction processing, enhance data accuracy, and support the cooperative’s digital transformation.

Abstract

The presentation of clear and understandable information is an essential factor in supporting data management within an organization. Yayasan Setara Jambi, as an institution engaged in community empowerment and agriculture, requires well-structured agricultural commodity data presentation to ensure that information can be utilized effectively. This study aims to implement the visualization of agricultural commodity data to support information presentation at Yayasan Setara Jambi. The research employed a descriptive method with an implementation approach. The research stages included data collection, data processing using Microsoft Excel, visualization development in the form of charts, and information presentation based on the processed data. The data consisted of agricultural commodities, including oil palm, rubber, and food crops, collected from official data sources and adjusted to the organization's information needs. The results indicate that data visualization presents information in a more concise, systematic, and easily understandable manner compared to conventional tabular data presentation. Furthermore, the resulting visualizations facilitate the dissemination of information within the organization, making it easier to understand the condition of agricultural commodities based on the available data. Therefore, the implementation of agricultural commodity data visualization can support more effective information presentation at Yayasan Setara Jambi.
