Abstract

This study aims to understand how the leadership strategy of the institution’s head can improve the quality of the Institute of Social Sciences and Development (LIPS). The focus is on how leaders manage members, build a vision that is open to all, and create an effective, flexible, and sustainable work system. This study employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study method, to examine leadership practices in social and religious organizations in greater depth. Data were collected through direct interviews with the institution’s head and members, observations of organizational activities, and official documents owned by the institution. The study's results indicate that the most suitable leadership strategy for LIPS is a participatory and transformative leadership style. This means that leaders encourage cooperation, are open and transparent in communication, provide ongoing coaching, and involve all parties in the decision-making process. This approach has been proven to enhance program quality, foster a stronger work culture within the organization, and encourage active participation from members in achieving common goals. These findings suggest that leaders of social organizations should adopt leadership styles tailored to the field’s specific conditions and grounded in shared values, thereby ensuring the organization’s quality continues to improve comprehensively and sustainably.

Abstract

This study examines the management of digital literacy programs at SMP Plus Ulil Albab Cirebon, an Islamic junior high school, using a qualitative case study approach. It focuses on how key managerial functions—planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising—are applied to integrate digital literacy in a systematic and ethical manner. Data collection included interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings show that digital literacy is seen not just as a technical skill but as a transformative process aligned with the school’s religious values and educational mission. Strategic planning incorporates both national and global education frameworks; organizational structures foster distributed leadership; instructional practices emphasize constructivist and value-based approaches; and supervision encourages collective reflection. The program has boosted student agency, digital ethics, and the school’s learning culture, although challenges remain, such as infrastructure limitations and varying teacher digital competence. This study offers an ethical, contextually relevant model for managing digital literacy in faith-based schools, providing valuable insights for educational policy, school leadership, and curriculum development in the digital age.

Abstract

This research examines the role of alums in enhancing both the quality and quantity of students at pesantren. The study aims to identify the contributions of alumnae, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors, and the impact of alumnae involvement on pesantren development. Using Participatory Action Research (PAR), the study involved alums, administrators, and students in collaborative activities. The findings revealed that alums are crucial in mentoring, skill development, and promoting the pesantren. Their active participation significantly increases student enrollment, with the majority of new students joining through alum referrals. However, challenges such as poor coordination, communication issues, and geographical obstacles were identified among alums. The study concludes that strengthening alum engagement is crucial to enhancing both the quality and quantity of students. It recommends that the pesantren improve alumni communication through digital platforms and establish more structured alum programs. This research contributes to understanding alum networks in Islamic educational institutions and suggests further exploration into the use of digital tools and sustainable alum programs.

Abstract

This study investigates the efficiency of Building Permit Services (PBG) through the Digital Platform for Building Permit Services (SIMBG), addressing increasing building regulation violations and a decline in PBG applications since the dare system's introduction. Public complaints further emphasize the need for improvement. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through field observations, interviews, and documentation with purposive sampling. Data analysis included reduction, visualization, and inference with source triangulation for validity. The findings show that SIMBG has not fully optimized service efficiency, especially in service time, due to technical issues and limited human resources. To improve efficiency, active coordination between central and regional governments, staff competency enhancements, dare consultation features, and regular evaluations of operating procedures are essential. The implications for educational management highlight the importance of digital transformation in streamlining administrative processes. Improving service delivery through digital platforms like SIMBG offers lessons for educational institutions to enhance efficiency. The study encourages educational leaders to focus on resource management, staff training, and continuous evaluation, ensuring efficient systems that benefit both staff and stakeholders.

Abstract

In the ever-evolving digital era, social media marketing strategies have become a key element for financial institutions, including those based on Islamic principles. This study focuses on how a Sharia-compliant institution implements social media marketing strategies to increase customer awareness, interest, and decision-making in choosing its financial products. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collection techniques through direct interviews with field appraisers and digital promotion staff. The research also highlights the importance of utilizing social media as a means of accelerating access to information and strengthening relationships between institutions and customers. The findings indicate that social media marketing has a significant influence on customer decisions in selecting Islamic financial services. Of the total 262 customers in 2025, approximately 60% stated that they were attracted to the product due to promotions conducted through social media by the institution’s staff and agents. The study also uncovers various factors that support and hinder the effectiveness of digital marketing and emphasizes the importance of transparency and security of product information, which were previously little known to the public. Implications for educational management include the need for curriculum development that integrates digital marketing literacy and Islamic economic principles, especially in vocational and higher education institutions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the PBL model with Pop-Up media on cognitive abilities in madrasah. The background of this study is based on the low understanding of students towards the concept of citizenship and the dominance of the lecture method in learning. The study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest Design. The sample used 25 students. The research instrument was a 16-item questionnaire that had undergone validity and reliability tests. The results of the normality test showed that the data were normally distributed, and the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significant score of 0.000 < 0.05. This demonstrates a substantial impact of applying the PBL model with Pop-Up media on enhancing students' cognitive abilities. This study concludes that the combination of the PBL model and Pop-Up media is efficacious in improving student learning outcomes in the Pancasila Education subject. This study emphasizes the importance of innovative teaching methods, such as the PBL model with Pop-Up media, in enhancing students' cognitive abilities. For educational management, incorporating such methods can improve student engagement, promote critical thinking, and align teaching practices with contemporary pedagogical needs.

Abstract

This study aims to explore technology interventions in educational environments, focusing on technology adaptation as a critical case study. This study highlights how institutions with limited resources can design innovative strategies for integrating technology into learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a comprehensive research design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis with 15 key informants, comprising school leaders, educators, and students. Triangulation techniques were used to ensure data validity. The results showed that, despite facing infrastructure limitations, successful adaptive strategies were implemented, including a projector rotation system and a hybrid learning model. This strategy increased student engagement by 35% and reduced teacher preparation time by around 20%. The application of technology to focus on productive subjects enables the visualisation of complex concepts more effectively, strengthens student understanding, and bridges theory and practice. This study confirms that digital transformation in education relies not only on technological infrastructure but also on educators’ creative capacity to redesign pedagogical approaches. This study offers a conceptual framework for effective technology integration in resource-constrained educational settings, providing a novel contribution to the literature on constraint-based digital learning innovation.

Abstract

In the context of vocational education, the school work climate significantly influences teacher performance, motivation, and commitment. While teachers are expected to exhibit high professionalism, many vocational high schools still lack a conducive environment that fosters collaboration, support, and participation. This study explores how teachers perceive the work climate in state vocational high schools. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The findings reveal that teachers perceive institutional support as a key element of a positive work climate, reflected through leadership responsiveness, mentoring systems, and inclusive academic planning. Ideal support is shown to be multidimensional, structural, relational, and participatory, promoting teacher engagement, psychological comfort, and a sense of belonging. These findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the psychosocial dimensions that shape the school environment and provide empirical insights for policy interventions aimed at improving the quality of teacher professionalism and educational outcomes in vocational schools.
