Abstract

This study aims to quantify the impact of distribution, operational, and production cost categories on sales volume and subsequent corporate earnings. Employing structural equation modeling (SEM) via Smart PLS version 3.0, the analysis establishes several statistically significant positive partial relationships. Specifically, each cost type including distribution, operations, and production positively influences both company profits and sales volume. Moreover, sales volume exerts a positive partial effect on profits. Of particular importance, sales volume emerges as a significant partial mediator in the pathways linking distribution costs, operating costs, and production costs to corporate profitability. The novelty in research is sales volume as an intervening variable. The results of this study can contribute ideas and information that can be used as input for companies related to cost and revenue planning in achieving company goals, namely maximizing profits. As well as the company’s ability to determine production costs will affect the level of profit earned and the results of this study can be taken into consideration in carrying out promotional activities and distribution channels to increase sales and company profits. Researchers only took 3 independent variables, namely Distribution Costs, Operating Costs, and Production Costs. This research period is only from 2021-2025. Keywords: Distribution Costs, Operating Costs, Production Costs, Sales Volume, Company Profit

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) and Transformational Leadership on Organizational Sustainability, with Work Engagement as a mediating variable in the context of international resort hotels in Lagoi, Bintan, Indonesia. Grounded in Ability-Motivation-Opportunity Theory, Social Exchange Theory, and Resource-Based View, this research employed a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 150 employees and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results reveal that GHRM and Transformational Leadership significantly and positively affect Work Engagement and Organizational Sustainability. Work Engagement was also found to have a significant positive effect on Organizational Sustainability. Furthermore, mediation analysis confirmed that Work Engagement partially mediates the relationships between GHRM and Organizational Sustainability as well as between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Sustainability. The findings highlight that sustainability performance in the hospitality sector can be strengthened not only through green HR practices and transformational leadership, but also through fostering employee psychological engagement. This study contributes to the sustainability and hospitality management literature by offering an integrated model linking organizational practices, leadership, and employee engagement to sustainability outcomes, while also providing practical implications for managers seeking to enhance long-term sustainability performance through people-centered strategies. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the effect of Business Intelligence and network learning on innovation and, in turn, on the performance of creative MSMEs in Jakarta. Grounded in the Resource-Based View and Knowledge-Based View, the study positions Business Intelligence and network learning as knowledge-based capabilities that drive innovation and performance. Data were collected through a survey of 400 owners/managers of creative MSMEs and analysed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that both Business Intelligence and network learning have positive and significant effects on innovation, with the effect of Business Intelligence being stronger than that of network learning. Innovation is found to have a positive and very strong effect on MSME performance. Mediation analysis further indicates that the effects of Business Intelligence and network learning on MSME performance are fully mediated by innovation. These findings highlight the importance of systematic business information management and network-based learning in fostering innovation as the main engine of performance improvement in creative MSMEs and offer implications for designing support programmes and simple Business Intelligence applications tailored to MSMEs. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work environment, organizational commitment, compensation, and communication on employee performance at the Library and Archives Office of Batam City Government. A quantitative approach was used, employing a total sampling method involving all 40 employees as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The validity test results showed that all questionnaire items had a correlation coefficient (r-count) greater than 0.312, indicating that all items were valid. The reliability test revealed Cronbach's Alpha values above 0.7 for all variables, with the highest value for the communication variable (0.887), indicating high reliability. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that all four independent variables significantly affected employee performance with significance levels as follows: work environment (p=0.015), organizational commitment (p=0.000), compensation (p=0.000), and communication (p=0.000). The R Square value of 0.715 indicates that 71.5% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by the independent variables, while the remaining 28.5% is influenced by other factors outside the model. The F-test also showed a significant simultaneous influence of the four variables on performance (F = 158.648 > F table = 3.09; p = 0.000). These findings emphasize that efforts to improve employee performance must be carried out holistically through improvements in the work environment, strengthening of organizational commitment, provision of fair compensation, and implementation of effective communication within the organization. Abstract

Replanting is an essential step in maintaining palm oil productivity due to aging plants. However, this process causes a drastic decrease in farmers' income, up to 65% during the 3-5 years waiting period for harvest. This study aims to assess the socio- economic impacts and fulfillment strategies undertaken by farmers during the palm oil replanting period in Nagari Sipangkur, Tiumang District, Dharmasraya Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, in-depth interviews with 12 informants selected by purposive sampling, and document studies. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. James S. Coleman's rational choice theoretical framework was used to analyze farmers' strategic choices in meeting their needs. The results showed that farmers chose three main strategies to fulfill their needs during the replanting period. These strategies are occupational strategies by shifting the main job, maximizing asset potential and making efficiency. These strategies reflect farmers' adaptation and resilience in facing economic challenges during replanting. Therefore, this study concludes that in the implementation of replanting, it is very important to build farmers' rationality in maximizing the assets they have to get around economic challenges.

Abstract

This study analyzes the mediating role of product innovation in the influence of market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation on the marketing performance of culinary MSMEs in the Car Free Day (CFD) area of Padang during the digital era. Using a quantitative method with purposive sampling, data were collected from 100 respondents who actively utilize digital marketing platforms and have operated for at least six months. Data analysis was performed using PLS-SEM with SmartPLS 4. The findings reveal that market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation significantly drive product innovation (β= 0.374, p < 0.05 for both), which in turn acts as a robust mediator to enhance marketing performance (β= 0.266, p < 0.05). This confirms that strategic mindsets require tangible innovative outputs, such as "Instagrammable" packaging and digital-friendly menus, to effectively capture market share in high-density urban hubs. These results provide a practical roadmap for MSMEs to achieve competitive advantage through digital integration and aesthetic innovation.
