Abstract

Female employees frequently face challenges in balancing work roles and family responsibilities, which can trigger work-family conflict (WFC). The phenomenon of women working in banks as a career choice is very common, and they often experience conflict between fulfilling their duties as employees and performing their duties as housewives, taking care of their children. Research findings regarding the role of job satisfaction as a mediator in this relationship still show mixed results. This inconsistency indicates a research gap that needs further exploration, particularly in the context of female employees. Therefore, this study aims to examine the role of job satisfaction in mediating the influence of work-family conflict on burnout in female employees. Using simple random selection, the study's sample of 100 respondents is made up of female bank employees in the city of Pasuruan. Questionnaires were given to respondents in order to collect data, and SEM-PLS was used to analyze the results. The research findings indicate that first, work-family conflict has a significant positive effect on burnout and job satisfaction. Second, job satisfaction also has a significant positive effect on burnout. Third, job satisfaction serves as a mediating variable for the impact of work-family conflict on burnout. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of supply-side and demand-side factors on economic growth in six provinces on Java Island during the 2015–2024 period. Supply-side factors include mean years of schooling, life expectancy, labor productivity, and the number of employed labor force, while the demand-side factor is represented by government consumption expenditure. Economic growth is measured using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices. This study employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression with 60 observations, and the best estimation model is selected through the Chow test and Hausman test. The results show that all independent variables simultaneously have a significant effect on economic growth in Java. Partially, supply-side variables have a more dominant influence than government expenditure. These findings indicate that improvements in human capital quality and labor productivity play an important role in promoting regional economic growth. This study is limited by its coverage, which only includes six provinces on Java Island, and by the limited number of variables used, so it may not fully capture all determinants of economic growth. Therefore, future research is recommended to incorporate additional variables such as investment, infrastructure, and technology, expand the regional scope, and use a longer observation period or different analytical methods to produce more comprehensive results with stronger generalizability.

Abstract

PT Litera Mediatama, one of the indie publishers, has successfully negotiated the difficulties posed by the COVID-19 outbreak and its aftermath. Litera Publisher is still very much committed to helping its staff perform better. Through the mediation of perceived usefulness, this research aimed to ascertain the direct and indirect impacts of proactive personality traits and growth mindset on employee performance. All full-time and part-time workers at Litera Publisher were included in the research. One hundred and fifty-five people were surveyed using an online questionnaire; the participants were chosen using a saturation sampling method, often known as a census. The quantitative data that was gathered was evaluated using PLS-SEM analysis with SmartPLS software. Through perceived usefulness as a mediating variable, the findings demonstrated that proactive personality traits and a development mindset significantly impact employee performance, both directly and indirectly. It is anticipated that a qualitative method or a formative indicator model would be considered in future study. Researchers may try it out on other publishers or recruit people from different indie publishing houses in Indonesia to verify the unbiased framework model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of employee motivation and competence on the effectiveness of halal certification services through employee performance as an intervening variable at the Medan City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office. This quantitative study used the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the SmartPLS 4.1.1.4 application to examine the relationship between motivation, employee competence, the effectiveness of halal certification services, and employee performance, both directly and indirectly. This study used primary data obtained using a research questionnaire. Seventy-two respondents, consisting of employees at the Medan City Ministry of Religious Affairs Office, were recruited using the Slovin sampling technique. The results of the hypothesis test indicate that employee motivation and competence directly have a positive effect on employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.386 and a t-statistic of 3.170, and a t-statistic of 0.528 and a t-statistic of 4.187. Employee performance positively influences the effectiveness of halal certification services, with a path coefficient of 0.391 and a t-statistic of 2.073. Directly, employee motivation and competence positively influence the effectiveness of halal certification services, with a path coefficient of 0.399 and a t-statistic of 2.678, respectively, and 0.421 and a t-statistic of 2.188. Indirectly, employee motivation and competence positively influence the effectiveness of halal certification services through employee performance, with a path coefficient of 0.151 and a t-statistic of 1.598, and 0.207 and a t-statistic of 1.895.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of influencer credibility and online customer reviews on purchase intention through the mediating role of brand trust in social commerce. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected from 200 respondents in Batam, Indonesia, who actively engage in social commerce and have experience with influencer-based purchases and online reviews. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that both influencer credibility and online customer reviews significantly influence brand trust, with online customer reviews exerting a stronger effect. Brand trust, in turn, has a significant positive impact on purchase intention and serves as a key mediating mechanism between the independent variables and purchase intention. Although influencer credibility and online customer reviews also directly affect purchase intention, their indirect effects through brand trust are stronger. These results suggest that trust plays a crucial role in converting digital engagement into purchase intention. The study contributes to the social commerce literature and provides practical implications for marketers seeking to develop credible and trust-oriented digital marketing strategies. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work-life balance, burnout, work stress, and organizational civic behavior (OCB) on employee productivity. As the demands for performance improvement increase in various organizations increase, understanding the psychological and behavioral factors that shape productivity has become critical. This quantitative research involved 34 respondents who were selected through saturated sampling techniques. Data were collected using standard Likert scale questionnaires and analyzed using SPSS version 26 through a series of statistical procedures, including validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that work-life balance and OCB have a positive and significant influence on productivity, showing that employees who maintain a healthy work-life balance and show positive behavior voluntarily tend to contribute more effectively to organizational goals. In contrast, work fatigue and work stress show significant negative influences, suggesting that prolonged emotional fatigue and high stress levels weaken employees' ability to perform optimally. A determination coefficient (R²) of 0.821 indicates that 82.1% of the variation in employee productivity can be explained by the four independent variables examined in this study, while the remaining 17.9% is due to other external factors not included in the model. These findings highlight the importance of organizational strategies that promote workload balance, minimize stress, reduce burnout, and encourage organizational civic behavior (OCB) to improve overall employee productivity. The study also provides practical implications for human resource management in designing policies that support psychological well-being and positive organizational civic behaviors.
