Abstract

In the digital era, chatbots have become essential tools for companies to enhance communication efficiency with customers, particularly through popular platforms such as WhatsApp. As the adoption of this technology increases, understanding the factors that shape users initial trust becomes crucial. This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived ease of use, compatibility, performance expectancy, social influence, and perceived risk on initial trust, as well as its impact on chatbot usage intention, customer engagement, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. The research model was developed based on an integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and Diffusion of Innovation (DOI), using a quantitative approach. A total of 223 respondents participated in a survey distributed to users of banking chatbots via WhatsApp in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that perceived ease of use and social influence have a significant positive effect on initial trust, while compatibility, performance expectancy, and perceived risk do not have a significant effect. However, performance expectancy was found to have a direct and significant influence on chatbot usage intention. Initial trust significantly influences usage intention, customer engagement, customer satisfaction, and customer loyalty. Furthermore, customer satisfaction also has a significant effect on customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of profitability, liquidity, and debt to equity ratio (DER) on firm value in the property and real estate sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2017-2021 period. The main problem identified is the decline in company value in this sector caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and low demand for property. This study aims to determine how much influence the three variables have on firm value. The method used is quantitative with a descriptive-associative approach, using secondary data from the financial statements of companies listed on the IDX and purposive sampling technique to select 9 issuers as samples. Data analysis was carried out through descriptive analysis, correlation test, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS. The results show that profitability has a significant positive effect on firm value, while liquidity has no significant effect. In contrast, DER has a significant negative effect on firm value. High profitability increases investor confidence in the company's prospects, while high DER decreases the value of the company due to increased financial risk. These results imply that companies in the property and real estate sector need to increase profitability and manage capital structure well to increase firm value.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to know, understand, and test the influence and interrelationship of the antecedent factors of green innovation on sustainable performance. This type of research is verifiable descriptive research. This research was conducted on 364 marine-based MSMEs in Bintan Regency. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire with a Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree). The conceptual model is presented in Figure 1 and verified using the PLS (Partial Least Square) method with SmartPLS 3.0 software. The results of the study show that first, there is a positive and significant relationship between technological capabilities and green innovation. Organizations with strong technological capabilities are better able to adopt environmentally friendly practices, which support more efficient product and process development. Second, CSR has a positive influence on green innovation. Companies that are active in CSR practices tend to be more open to innovations that support sustainability. However, not all CSR initiatives contribute significantly, especially if they are not grounded in a sincere commitment to sustainability. Third, green innovations have been proven to have a positive and significant effect on sustainable performance. Organizations that implement green innovation not only meet environmental demands but also improve operational efficiency and reputation. However, the success of green innovation must be integrated with the overall business strategy to achieve maximum impact. Fourth, the effect of moderation of environmental dynamics is not significant on sustainable performance. This indicates that external changes may not be strong enough to affect the relationship between green innovation and sustainable performance, and many organizations have not fully adapted to those dynamics

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of product quality and after-sales service on customer loyalty among Xiaomi smartphone users in Medan City. The study employed a quantitative explanatory design with purposive sampling, involving 100 respondents who had been using Xiaomi smartphones for at least six months. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results demonstrate that both product quality and after-sales service have a significant and positive impact on customer loyalty. However, after-sales service emerged as the dominant factor, as indicated by a higher path coefficient and effect size compared to product quality. This suggests that warranty claims, repair services, availability of spare parts, and responsiveness of customer support are crucial determinants of long-term loyalty in the highly competitive smartphone market. The model explains 57.5% of the variance in customer loyalty, which indicates a moderate to strong predictive power. The findings extend previous research by highlighting the importance of post-purchase services in shaping loyalty, especially in emerging markets. For practitioners, the results provide strategic implications, emphasizing that while product quality should remain a priority, greater investment in after-sales infrastructure and proactive customer engagement will yield stronger loyalty outcomes for Xiaomi in Medan City.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on many corporations around the world, including Indonesia, since early 2020. This impact is felt in various sectors, especially the economy, where the decline in public consumption has led to a decline in company sales and revenues. This has resulted in uncertainty and financial difficulties, even bankruptcy. This study aims to analyze the effect of company size and earnings per share (EPS) on financial difficulties in non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020-2021 period. The method used is the Altman's Z-Score model, which is known to be accurate in predicting financial distress. From 780 listed public companies, after a purposive sampling selection process, 281 companies were obtained as samples. Data analysis using binary logistic regression shows that company size has a significant negative effect on financial distress; the larger the company size, the higher the Altman Z-score value, which means the risk of financial distress is lower. However, EPS does not show a significant effect on financial distress, although higher EPS reflects a lower risk of financial distress, this may be because EPS does not sufficiently describe the company's financial condition as a whole. Keywords:Financial Distress, Firm Size, Earnings Per Share

Abstract

Healthcare companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) face fierce competition during the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, impacting the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) despite its stability around 6,000. Pharmaceutical stock prices surged at the pandemic's outset, crucial for investor assessments. This study examines healthcare companies listed on IDX from 2016 to 2020, involving 14 eligible firms. Data analysis employs descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis, with data analyzed using Eviews 10. Results reveal CR, NPM, TATO, and ROE negatively and significantly affect stock prices, while GPM and EPS have negative but insignificant effects. RC and DER don't significantly impact stock prices, but ROA and PER demonstrate positive, significant effects. Simultaneously, CR, GPM, NPM, RC, TATO, DER, ROA, ROE, EPS, PER, and PBV collectively influence healthcare company stock prices. Company value doesn't moderate CR, RC, TATO, and PER's relationship with stock price but does moderate GPM, NPM, DER, ROA, ROE, EPS, and share prices. Prospective investors should consider factors beyond financial ratios for profitable returns. Keywords: Financial Performance, Stock Prices, Company Value

Abstract

This study explores the influence of Career Expectations and Technology Literacy on Job-Seeking Intention (JSI) among Generation Z in Pekanbaru, with Motivation acting as a mediating variable. Through a quantitative approach, data was collected from 130 participants, including both students and recent graduates. The findings reveal that Career Expectations have an indirect influence on JSI through Motivation, emphasizing that while high Career Expectations shape Motivation, it is Motivation that more directly influences job-seeking behaviors. Additionally, Technology Literacy was found to significantly enhance JSI, highlighting the importance of digital skills in navigating modern job-search platforms. The study suggests that while Career Expectations set the foundation for motivation, it is the individual’s level of Motivation and Technology Literacy that drives their Job-Seeking Intensity. These results provide valuable insights into how Generation Z’s job-seeking behaviors are shaped by psychological and technological factors, offering practical implications for educational institutions and policymakers to better support the career readiness of young people.
