Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to convert murals as a language learning medium for preschool children. The method of research used is qualitative with the technique of literature studies. Researchers use libraries to find data on subjects and research objects. The result of this study was the stage of the mural as a media-teaching medium for preschool children. The mural as a learning medium of preschool children must be able to represent the will of the child itself. Child behavior against murals is a hallmark of the success of message delivery. The illustration style of the preschool child mural must be adjusted to the needs of the child, such as cartoon illustration style. Color selection is also not to be separated from the needs of children, children tend to prefer a striking color. If there is a typeface applied in the mural then consider the use of round and open letters, not sharp corners or rectanglesKeywords: Mural, language learning media, preschool.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the function of language and affective meaning on environmental hygiene warning boards. This research is a qualitative descriptive study, namely by analyzing writing data on environmental hygiene warning boards. The object of this research is written data on the father of environmental hygiene warnings taken from the internet. The conclusions from the results of the study are that there are three language functions, namely informational, expressive, and directive functions. From 42 data, there are 13 informational functions, 14 expressive functions, and 15 directive functions. Based on the meaning, 13 positive affective meanings and 28 negative affective meanings were found.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the potential of teaching BIPA integrated with rice cone as a philosophical and cultural wisdom Indonesia. Integrating learning with cultural language is intended to provide an understanding of culture that refers to the ability to choose the form of the language according to the sociocultural context in communication Indonesian. This qualitative descriptive study begins with the collection of data with the literature search techniques and in-depth interviews. Data analysis stage starts with observation data to identify the values of local wisdom in rice cone and the potential for BIPA learning that can be integrated with one of the traditional Indonesian cuisine. Presentation of the results of the data analysis described formally and informally. This study shows that rice cone store various life values of form and composition, such as a character close to nature, surrender to God, tolerance, respect, love art, prudence, togetherness, harmony helpful to others, religious, self-controlled , surrender, simple, stoic, strong, and resilient. Rice cone can also be integrated in a cultural learning, speaking, listening, writing, reading, and vocabulary with a variety of activities, such as cooking demonstrations, mini-paper, or a game with the flash cards, cue cards, jumbled paragraphs, jumbled sentences, jumbled words, etc.

Abstract

A literary work basically contains moral values conveyed by the author to teach all aspects of life with the aim of changing one's behavior to be better than before. Because many people in this era are very poor in civilized. Even though in living in society moral values are very necessary related to the reflection of every human being, unfortunately moral values in living in society are now very minimal in application. A novel by Langit Kresna Hariadi in the title Balada Gimpul printed II, there is a depiction of moral values in social life. Researchers feel that this is suitable to be used as research material in the form of analysis and make the moral values contained in it as research objects. This analysis is qualitative with content analysis as the method used. Reference books and the Balada Gimpul novel will become references for data sources in this study. In addition, there are also techniques used in data collection, namely the technique of documentation and records. This data collection technique uses three components, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Researchers believe that in order for this research to be feasible, appropriate procedures need to be applied in research including data collection, data classification, and re-analyzing classified data. Based on the results of the research, the authors found several aspects and criteria of moral values and divided them into positive and negative moral values in the novel Balada Gimpul..Keywords: Moral Values; Ballad Gimpul novel; The Sky of Krishna Hariadi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the critical discourse of Teun A. Van Dijk's model in the Narasi Mata Najwa program. The Narasi Mata Najwa program is a strategic forum for social groups, community groups to appear and discuss the discourses presented. The Narasi Mata Najwa program often invites figures from various circles of society, both from government figures and political figures. The Narasi Mata Najwa event is a discourse formation practice. Discourse refers to social activities that take place from various backgrounds in which the language unit appears. Critical discourse analysis using Van Dijk's model includes three aspects, namely macro structure, super structure, and microstructure. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The results of this research from Van Dijk's model examines the discourse that is used as a suggestion for opinion formation through word choice, sentence structure, and appropriate language style.Keywords: critical discourse analysis, Narasi Mata Najwa, community response

Abstract

Abstract: This study is to improve children's story writing skills and to tell stories using the method of attracting kindergarten teachers in Depok city. This research is a form of methods classroom action research. The research subjects are kindergarten teacher in Limo and Cinere sub-district is 20 people.The research object is children's story writing skill and teacher performance telling story with interesting method of creative media. Data collection method using method of test, observation, and documentation Data analysis technique that is quantitative and qualitative technique by finding the average value of teacher's story The result of this research show that this can improve children's story writing skill and teacher story.The improvement of writing this story is: the story material of children, linguistic material, how to write stories, techniques and methods of interesting storytelling.The improvement is shown by the average value of children's story writing skills.A pre cycle from 41.55 to 53.35, an increase of 12.2.Cycle II to 79, an increase of 25.5 The ability to tell a story is indicated by the average pre-siklus value 50.05 to 62.3, an increase of 12.25. While the second cycle became 80.10, the increase to 17.8. Keywords: writing children story, story telling method, telling kindergarten teacher

Abstract

This article is one of wide studies that analyze literature and cultural values and prosesion in traditional ceremony of Dhukutan at Nglurah Village Tawangmangu Regency. Those traditional ceremony become tourist attractions. This study uses qualititive method inludes collection of primary an secondary sources such as literature study, observation, structured and in-depth interviews. Traditional ceremony have been existed during the ancestor period, it is always accompanied by the presence of ubarampe that has philosophical and historical significance among them. There are five Javanese literature and culture values in Dhukutan; 1) hedonic value, 2) artistic value, 3) cultural value, 4) ethical, moral, religious value, 5) practical value. There are three steps in Dhukutan , 1) preparation, 2) core ceremony, 3) closing . All sesaji in this traditional ceremony using material of corn. The purpose of this study is to knowing Javanese Literature and Culture Value and prosesion of Dhukutan ceremony and oral regulations of Dhukutan.

Abstract

The peer teaching method is an exercise technique in learning in which students or participants present their ideas or opinions to other fellow participants. With this peer-to-peer method, it is expected that students' ability to write paragraphs will increase and be more directed based on the method given by the teacher. Therefore, this study aims to find out how to improve the ability to write paragraphs using the peer teaching method in senior high school. The research method used in this research is peer-to-peer method which is directed to describe the variable or ability to write paragraphs in senior high school students class X SMA Negeri 35 Jakarta with classroom action research (PTK). Based on the results of data analysis by looking at the results of the teaching-learning process, there was an increase in the ability to write paragraphs for aspects of unity, integration, development, as well as spelling and punctuation carried out by teachers from cycle I (78.31%) to cycle II (87.27%) with average of 13.46%. In addition, the evaluation obtained from each cycle also experienced increase of 35.13% in cycle II from Cycle I.Keywords: Pharagraps Writing skills; Peer Teaching Method; Classroom Action Research

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to describe the types of Temanggung dialect Javanese language curses, as well as their functions in social life. The analysis in this study uses sociolinguistic studies. The method of data collection is carried out by means of competent listening because it is in the form of observation and observation, and is assisted with oral and written data. The results of this study are found in several types of swear, including swear based on limb 10, swear animal name 4, swear profession name negative 1, part 1 tree, no swear referent 32, intelligence 2 condition, and mental health 4. The most common types of swear are swear no referents because sometimes swear forms do not have an original word and are formed conventionally in each region. Thus, swearing in each region certainly varies according to the agreement of the area. Based on its function, in this study found 7 functions, namely the means to express anger, resentment, disappointment, wonder, regret, insult and familiarity.

Abstract

In a society there is no uniformity of language, although in a monolingual language society (society uses only one language in all life activities). Thus it is clear that the language is not monolithic, not only in one form, but in various forms. Languages that are still within the scope of the same language system (langue) are called language variants. The phenomenon of language other than can be observed as a phenomenon of system or language structure can be observed as a social phenomenon. As a social phenomenon, the use of language in society is influenced by situational factors. In relation to the above matter in this study the researchers further study it through the title of research 'Jargon Madurese Language In Coastal Communities in Pamekasan District (A Linguistic Review)'.
