Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the Effect of Cash Management and Operational Cost Control on Business Profit at "Usaha Dagang Agung" in Tanjung Menang Jarai Village. This type of research is Quantitative. The method used is saturated sampling. Primary data was obtained from Cash Management, Operational Cost Control, and Business Profit at "Usaha Dagang Agung" in Tanjung Menang Jarai Village. Secondary data was obtained through the Unrem Description of "Usaha Dagang Agung", Cash Management List, Operational Cost Control List. Business Profit List. The result is a multiple linear regression constant: -51.060 regression coefficient of Cash Management variable of 0.695. Based on the results of the regression coefficient analysis of the influence of Cash Management and Operational Braya Control on Business Profit, the multiple linear regression value is: Y = -51.060 -0.695 X1 -0.943 X2, constant value of -51.060. The regression coefficient value of Cash Management is positive at 0.695. This shows that each Cash Management unit will increase Operating Profit by 0.695 (positive effect). Based on the t-test results on the variables, the calculated t-value is 3.814 with a significance level of 0.1001. Meanwhile, the Operational Cost Control variable (X2) produces a calculated t-value of 3.666 with a significance value of 0.001. Because the significance values of the two variables are smaller (0.001 <0.05 and 0.001 <0.05), it can be concluded that both variables X1 and X2 have a partial significant effect on Operating Profit (Y).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the physical work environment and work motivation on employee performance at the Muara Pinang Subdistrict Office in Empat Lawang Regency. The research method used was a quantitative approach with a saturation sampling technique involving 43 employees. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS. Based on the results of the multiple linear regression analysis, the following multiple linear regression equation was obtained: Y = 12.515 + 0.280 X1 + 0.458 X2. The results of the study indicate that, when analyzed partially, the Physical Work Environment variable has a calculated t-value of 1.992 with a significance level of 0.053. Since the significance level is greater than 0.05 and the calculated t-value is less than the critical t-value (1.992 < 2.021), the Physical Work Environment variable does not have a significant effect. Meanwhile, Work Motivation has a calculated t-value of 3.552 with a significance level of 0.001. Since the significance level is less than 0.05 and the calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value (3.552 > 2.021), the Work Motivation variable has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, the Physical Work Environment and Work Motivation have a significant effect on employee performance with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the most dominant variable influencing employee performance is Work Motivation. Based on the research findings, it is recommended that the Muara Pinang Subdistrict Office further enhance employee motivation and continue to pay attention to the work environment in order to support improved employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the financial performance of state-owned and private banks in Indonesia using the Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earnings, and Liquidity (CAMEL) framework during the 2023–2025 period. A quantitative descriptive approach with a comparative study design was employed based on the analysis of annual reports and financial statements of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk., PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk., PT Bank Central Asia Tbk., and PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk. The data were analyzed using CAMEL ratios, including the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non-Performing Loan (NPL), Operating Expenses to Operating Income Ratio (BOPO), Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Loan-to-Deposit Ratio (LDR). The findings indicate that all sampled banks were classified as financially sound in accordance with the standards established by Indonesia's Financial Services Authority. Among the private banks, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. demonstrated superior performance in terms of capital adequacy, profitability, and operational efficiency, as reflected by its high CAR, ROA, and ROE values and low BOPO ratio. Meanwhile, among the state-owned banks, PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. exhibited the strongest performance in maintaining asset quality, as indicated by the lowest NPL ratio, while also demonstrating an effective intermediary function through its lending activities. The study confirms that the CAMEL framework remains a relevant and effective tool for evaluating and comparing bank soundness and can provide valuable insights for bank management, investors, and regulators in strategic decision-making.

Abstract

Spot welding is widely used in the automotive industry due to its fast process, efficiency, and neat joint results. However, the joint strength is highly influenced by welding parameters, especially pressing time. This study aims to determine the tensile strength of spot-welded joints on low-carbon steel ST40, analyze the effect of pressing time variations, and identify the optimum pressing time that produces the strongest joint. The results showed that a pressing time of 20 seconds produced the highest tensile strength of 36.69 MPa, yield strength of 205.56 MPa, and modulus of elasticity of 406.85 MPa. Therefore, a pressing time of 20 seconds is considered the optimum condition to produce strong spot-welded joints on ST40 steel.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of per capita income, food imports, carbon emissions, and fertilizer use on food security in Indonesia during the 2010–2023 period. Annual data were obtained from various official sources and analyzed using the Two-Stage Least Squares (2SLS) method to address potential endogeneity issues among the independent variables. The results indicate that, simultaneously, all four variables have a significant effect on food security, with an R-squared value of 92.68% and a Durbin–Watson statistic of 1.954, suggesting that the model is free from autocorrelation. Partially, carbon emissions have a positive and statistically significant effect, with a coefficient of 173.974 (p = 0.0010), indicating that the intensity of economic activity contributes substantially to improving food security. In contrast, fertilizer use has a negative and statistically significant effect, with a coefficient of −44.154 (p = 0.0261), suggesting that inappropriate fertilizer policies may reduce food security due to land degradation. Meanwhile, per capita income and food imports exhibit positive but statistically insignificant effects on food security. Based on these findings, the study recommends reforming fertilizer policies based on site-specific land requirements, promoting sustainable and low-emission agricultural practices, strengthening food logistics infrastructure, and reducing dependence on food imports. Future studies are encouraged to extend the observation period, incorporate additional variables such as climate change and agricultural land area, and employ spatial or regional panel data approaches to provide more comprehensive findings.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using interactive PowerPoint media on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 003 Kabun. The study employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population and sample consisted of all 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 003 Kabun, selected using the total sampling technique. The research instruments included a questionnaire on the use of interactive PowerPoint media and a learning motivation questionnaire developed using a five-point Likert scale. Prior to data collection, the instruments were tested for content validity, construct validity, and reliability. Data were analyzed using SPSS version 29 through descriptive statistics, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis testing using a paired-samples t-test. The results showed that the mean score for the use of interactive PowerPoint media increased from 73.11 in the pretest to 77.48 in the posttest. Similarly, the mean score of students' learning motivation increased from 72.48 to 75.78 after the intervention. The normality test indicated that all data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test confirmed homogeneous variances. The paired-samples t-test yielded a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of < 0.001, which was lower than the significance level of 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest conditions. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of interactive PowerPoint media has a significant positive effect on the learning motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 003 Kabun. Interactive PowerPoint media creates a more engaging learning environment, enhances students' attention and participation, and fosters greater learning motivation throughout the instructional process.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of corporate governance mechanisms, proxied by Independent Commissioners, Institutional Ownership, and the Audit Committee, on Stock Prices in construction sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2022 period. The sampling method employed a purposive sampling technique, resulting in 10 construction companies that met the criteria with a total of 40 data observations. The analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis processed with the assistance of SPSS software. The research results partially (t-test) show that the Independent Commissioners, Institutional Ownership, and Audit Committee variables do not have a significant effect on Stock Prices. Furthermore, the simultaneous test results (F-test) also indicate that the three independent variables together do not significantly influence the Stock Price of construction sector companies. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.058 indicates that the variation in Stock Prices explained by this model is only 5.8%, while the remaining 94.2% is explained by other variables outside the research model. These findings imply that the implementation of corporate governance in the construction industry in Indonesia during the observation period tends to merely satisfy administrative compliance and regulatory formalities, and has not been able to provide a substantive impact on influencing investor assessments and decisions in the capital market.
