Abstract

The issue of the threshold requirement for regional head candidacy within Indonesia’s electoral system has long created disparities in political competition, particularly for small political parties that face difficulties in meeting the candidacy requirements. The relatively high threshold provisions stipulated in the Regional Election Law are considered to restrict the constitutional rights of political parties and potentially reduce the quality of local democracy. In this context, Constitutional Court Decision Number 60/PUU-XXII/2024 represents a significant turning point by lowering the threshold requirement for regional head candidacy. This study aims to analyze the constitutionality of the legal norms governing the threshold for regional head candidacy and the implications of the Constitutional Court’s decision on Indonesia’s democratic system. The research method used is normative legal research employing a statutory approach and a conceptual approach. The legal materials used include laws and regulations, court decisions, and relevant legal literature. The results of the analysis indicate that the reduction of the candidacy threshold by the Constitutional Court constitutes a constitutional measure to ensure the principles of equality and fairness in political rights, as guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. This decision expands access to political participation, particularly for small political parties and alternative candidates, and has the potential to improve the quality of local democracy through more open competition. The Constitutional Court’s decision not only corrects previously restrictive legal norms but also strengthens the protection of the constitutional rights of citizens and political parties while encouraging the realization of a more inclusive and representative democracy at the regional level.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of Phase F Fashion Design students at SMKN 6 Padang, addressing persistently low achievement under conventional, teacher-centered instruction. A true experimental method with a posttest-only control design was employed, involving 30 students in an experimental class taught using the NHT model and 30 students in a control class taught conventionally; the classes were selected through cluster random sampling after the population was confirmed normally distributed and homogeneous in variance. Data were collected using an essay-based achievement test that had been validated and tested for reliability. Results showed the experimental class achieved a higher mean score (80.70) than the control class (75.40), with mastery percentages of 70% and 52% against the minimum mastery criterion of 75, respectively. Since the Liliefors normality test indicated the achievement data in both groups were not normally distributed, hypothesis testing was conducted using the nonparametric Mann-Whitney U test, yielding a Zcalculated value of 2.33, which exceeded the Ztable value of 1.65 at a significance level of α = 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. These findings demonstrate that the NHT cooperative learning model produced significantly better mathematics learning outcomes than conventional learning among Phase F Fashion Design students. The study concludes that NHT, through its numbering and random-calling mechanism, fosters individual accountability and group cooperation, making it a viable strategy for improving student engagement and mathematics achievement in vocational secondary education.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of post-disaster relocation policy following the Galodo disaster in Nagari Bukik Batabuah, Canduang District, Agam Regency. The issue arises from the gap between the government’s objective to protect affected residents by relocating them to safer areas and the reality that many residents still choose to remain in disaster-prone zones. This study aims to analyze the implementation effectiveness of the relocation policy and identify the factors influencing its effectiveness. The research used a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis was based on the organizational effectiveness theory of Richard M. Steers, which includes goal achievement, integration, and adaptation. The results show that the relocation policy has not been fully effective. In terms of goal achievement, the government has provided permanent housing and relocated some residents, but community participation remains low. In terms of integration, coordination among BPBD, PERKIM, the nagari government, and customary leaders has been carried out, yet policy communication and public understanding remain limited. In terms of adaptation, basic facilities and empowerment programs have been provided, but residents still face difficulties related to livelihoods, economic access, and socio-cultural attachment to their original settlement. Therefore, the effectiveness of this policy needs to be improved through stronger communication, community participation, economic recovery, and involvement of local customary leaders.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the impact of cash and working capital management on business sustainability at Ferli’s Candy Store in Rambai Kaca Village, Suka Merindu Subdistrict. Business sustainability is a major challenge for MSMEs amid market fluctuations, making effective financial management a crucial foundation. This study employs a quantitative approach using an associative method and a saturated sample comprising monthly financial data spanning 36 months (2023–2025). Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression to test the influence of independent variables on business sustainability. The results indicate that cash management and working capital have a positive and significant effect on business sustainability, both partially and simultaneously. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.447 indicates that the variables of cash management and working capital account for 44.7% of the variation in the business sustainability of Toko Manisan Ferli, while the remaining 55.3% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings provide managerial implications for business owners to improve their financial record-keeping systems and strictly separate personal funds from business funds to ensure long-term operational sustainability.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of implementing Green Accounting and disclosing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the financial performance of coal companies within the energy sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The research is motivated by growing environmental awareness and regulatory pressures compelling companies—particularly those in environmentally sensitive industries—to integrate environmental and social aspects into their business practices. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing secondary data obtained from annual reports and sustainability reports published by the companies. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method based on data availability and consistency throughout the observation period. Financial performance was measured using profitability indicators, while Green Accounting was proxied by environmental cost disclosures, and CSR was measured using a CSR disclosure index. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression after satisfying classical assumption tests. The results indicate that the implementation of Green Accounting has no significant effect on financial performance, and CSR disclosure likewise shows no significant impact on financial performance. Simultaneously, Green Accounting and CSR do not significantly affect the financial performance of coal companies in the energy sub-sector. These findings suggest that environmental and social responsibility practices do not contribute to improved financial performance, even in industries with significant environmental impacts. This study provides empirical evidence for management, investors, and regulators regarding the importance of sustainability-oriented accounting and reporting practices.

Abstract

In this article, we will discuss the UI/UX design of the Batik Putera Ningrat website as a digital catalog that presents the products and brand identity of this premium batik brand in a more comprehensive way. The challenge was the lack of a single official platform that could streamline the catalog of fabrics and shirts, explain the stories behind the motifs, provide information about the store, offer space for educational articles, and provide a direct channel to designers or managers. Visual product documentation, interviews, literature reviews, and observations of brand and user needs were used as qualitative research methods. The design process followed the design thinking framework, progressing through the stages of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The result is a website prototype featuring a homepage, batik shirt models, a batik fabric catalog, a blog, store information, product details, and buttons for designers and admins. This process demonstrates that a consistent visual identity, an easy-to-read information layout, compelling product photos, and user-friendly navigation are key components in building trust with potential customers. Batik Putera Ningrat’s digital platform is designed to support promotion, education, and brand image reinforcement in the digital world.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve the knowledge and entrepreneurial skills of members of the Family Welfare Empowerment Organization (PKK) in determining selling prices and conducting business feasibility analysis for laundry perfume products. The program was conducted on May 3, 2026, at RW 025 Griya Asri 2 Blocks G and F, Sumberjaya Village, South Tambun District, Bekasi Regency, involving approximately 50 participants consisting of PKK members, community leaders, and local residents. The implementation methods included lectures, discussions, hands-on training in laundry perfume production, simulations of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations, selling price determination, and Break-Even Point (BEP) analysis. The results showed a significant improvement in participants’ understanding of production cost calculation, pricing strategies, profit estimation, and business feasibility assessment. Based on the business simulation, the total production cost for 10 liters of laundry perfume was Rp333,600, resulting in a Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) of Rp33,360 per liter. By setting the selling price at Rp45,000 per liter, participants were able to identify a potential profit margin and evaluate the feasibility of the business. Furthermore, the program enhanced participants’ motivation to develop home-based entrepreneurial activities as an alternative source of family income. Therefore, this community service activity successfully contributed to strengthening entrepreneurial capacity and promoting economic empowerment among community members.

Abstract

Agam Regency has significant aquatic resource potential; however, various issues such as declining water environmental quality, insufficiently controlled reso urce exploitation, and low community involvement in conservation activities pose challenges to achieving sustainable water resource management. This study aims to develop a water conservation model for Agam Regency through community empowerment (Bado and Zulkifli, 2021), based on local wisdom as an effort to improve the economic well-being of fishers. The research method employed is a mixed methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and the distribution of questionnaires to fishing communities, traditional leaders, local government officials, and other relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted descriptively, participatively, and using a model development approach. The research results show that the local wisdom still practiced by the community has great potential to serve as a foundation for the management and conservation of aquatic resources. Lakoy et al. (2021) stated that the development of the conservation model was carried out through strengthening community institutions, enhancing fishers' capacity, implementing customary-based regulations, diversifying productive economic enterprises, and fostering collaboration among communities, the government, and related institutions. The resulting model places the community as the primary actor in the management of aquatic resources while continuing to take ecological, social, cultural, and economic aspects into consideration. The implementation of this model is expected to help ensure the sustainability of aquatic resources, increase public awareness of conservation, strengthen local institutions, and sustainably improve the income and welfare of fishers.
