Abstract

Entrepreneurship has an important role in encouraging sustainable economic development, especially in developing countries. This article aims to analyze how entrepreneurship can contribute to economic growth that not only focuses on financial gains, but also pays attention to social and environmental aspects. In this context, entrepreneurship serves as a driving force for innovation, job creation, and development of local communities. Through a qualitative approach and literature analysis, this study explores several aspects that show a positive relationship between entrepreneurship and sustainable economic development. First, innovative entrepreneurship can develop environmentally friendly products and services, reducing negative impacts on ecosystems. Second, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) initiated by local entrepreneurs can provide job opportunities, increase people's income, and empower the community. Third, social entrepreneurship that aims to solve social problems, such as poverty and education, can contribute to the welfare of society. In addition, this article also highlights the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in creating sustainable businesses, including access to capital, technology, and training. Therefore, support from the government and financial institutions is essential to create an ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship. The study concludes that sustainability-focused entrepreneurship not only provides economic benefits, but also strengthens social and environmental structures, thereby contributing to inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology clearly showcases its advantages in this era of greater digitalization. With the enhanced technology, the application of Artificial Intelligence is anticipated in several areas, particularly within the business sector. Many sectors are affected by the digital trend, including the business among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The present research utilized a literature review approach to seek clarifications of the scope of AI in improving the productivity of MSMEs through operational efficiencies, innovations of products and services, and better decision making based on data analytics. This research adopts a literature review the research collects and reviews information from 34 pertinent journals published from 2019 to 2024. Data indicates that AI has the capacity to enhance productivity and resource usage however there are still daunting challenges such as costs of implementation and inadequacy of the technical infrastructure. Such conclusions are located within the issue of MSME sustainability, and using thematic analysis the article discusses the pros and cons of implementing AI. Sustaining operational sustainability through AI adoption is possible by enhancing supply chain efficacy and minimizing adverse environmental effects although policy and infrastructure enhancement can help achieve more. The implications of the research conducted urge indeed for longitudinal studies related to the long-term effects of AI on MSMEs as well as specific branches. Hence, this article presents a theoretical rationale for approaches that will focus on AIs in the context of sustainable development.

Abstract

Global attention is now beginning to focus on environmental protection given the increasing rate of global warming. This study aims to examine the practice of green banking where its execution can help in accomplishing the goal of sustainable development and economic sustainability. This study analyzes the role of banking in the implementation of green banking in terms of financing, assortment of green banking products and reporting. Green banking innovation in the banking industry means balancing economic success with social and environmental responsibility. This research utilizes a systematic literature review related to green banking and its link to economic sustainability that includes articles published from 2018 to 2024 to ensure the findings are relevant. The results of this study are expected to affirm the importance of green banking practices in connection to making economic sustainability and contribute to raising awareness of the importance of observing the environmental impacts of bank financing.

Abstract

With the growing emphasis on environmental sustainability, organizations are increasingly adopting Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) practices. GHRM integrates environmental management with HR functions, embedding sustainable policies that promote ecological responsibility among employees. This literature investigates the links between employee satisfaction, job performance, and eco-friendly work behaviours in the GHRM framework, employing quantitative research methods. Through sustainable HR practices, GHRM cultivates environmental awareness within workplaces. By analysing survey data and performance metrics, the review examines how employee satisfaction impacts performance and, subsequently, supports green work behaviours. The findings reveal a positive correlation amongst employee satisfaction and job performance, with significant influence on environmentally responsible behaviours. Future studies should focus on developing targeted strategies to enhance these outcomes, strengthening GHRM’s role in promoting sustainability and driving improved organizational performance.

Abstract

This study uses competitive advantage as an intervening variable in the Solo Residency coffee shop industry to examine how product innovation and market orientation affect business performance. The performance of the coffee shop in Solo Residency, which is still below expectations, is the issue brought up in this study.Coffee shop managers or owners who have been in business for at least six months make up the study's population. A non-probability or non-random sampling technique is employed in this investigation. Purposive sampling methods were used for the sampling. A questionnaire was given to the respondents as part of the study's data collection strategy. 170 questionnaire responses were analyzed using the Structural Equation model (SEM) using AMOS 26. According to the study's findings, competitive advantage significantly improves company success. Business performance is significantly improved by product innovation. Competitive advantage is significantly enhanced by product innovation. Market orientation has very little beneficial effect on business success. Coffee shops in Solo Residency can successfully attain their competitive advantage if they implement market orientation, since it has been shown to greatly increase competitive advantage.

Abstract

The global landscape of workforce training has been profoundly influenced by the forces of globalization, digital transformation, and the rapid evolution of job requirements. This paper presents a systematic literature review on the transformation of workforce training in the face of globalization's challenges and opportunities. By examining a wide range of scholarly sources, this study aims to identify emerging trends, prevailing challenges, and potential frameworks for effective workforce development. Findings indicate a growing emphasis on digital skills, adaptability, and lifelong learning, alongside the need for a comprehensive approach that addresses disparities in training accessibility. This review contributes insights into the critical elements for developing workforce training strategies that are globally competitive, inclusive, and resilient.

Abstract

Indonesia’s population is currently dominated by Generation Z, making up 27.94% of the total. However, with the economic recession of 2023, Generation Z has faced significant employment challenges, with 42.62% (or 4.3 million individuals) reported as unemployed in 2024, based on Sakernas data. Structural unemployment not only impacts economic growth and development but also poses mental health risks and threatens the productivity of an entire generation. This research aims to explore strategies for empowering Generation Z, leveraging their potential for innovation, creativity, and productivity. Using a qualitative, literature-based approach with SWOT analysis, this study examines both external (opportunities and threats) and internal (strengths and weaknesses) factors to develop alternative strategies. Key recommendations include certified entrepreneurship training through government and business collaboration, local material used to reduce costs, and digital marketing optimization. Additional strategies involve creating policies with stakeholders to support youth empowerment and leveraging government programs for talent and business capital. This research provides actionable insights to help unlock Generation Z's potential, improving their quality of life and contributing to sustainable national development.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of corporate governance (CG) on the profitability of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, with Debt-to-Equity Ratio (DER) as a moderating variable and Firm Age, Market to Book Value (MBV), and ownership structure as control variables. In the context of increasingly competitive business environments, the quality of corporate governance becomes crucial for achieving sustainable performance. This research utilizes company data from 2020 to 2023 and employs regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The findings are expected to provide insights into the importance of good governance, optimal capital structure, and ownership structure in enhancing profitability, as well as offering practical implications for managers and investors in decision-making processes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors influencing the interest in investing in government bonds among millennial employees in Semarang City. The variables used are Motivation, Financial Literacy, and Income. The population of this study is Millennial Generation Employees residing in the city of Semarang who have an interest in investing in Government Bonds in the Indonesian Capital Market. Sample selection was conducted using the purposive sampling method. The number of samples taken in this study was 100 respondents distributed across the Semarang City area. This research uses primary data collected through structured interviews with the help of questionnaires. The data analysis used is multiple regression analysis. The conclusion drawn is that the Motivation Variable has a positive but not significant effect on the Interest in Investing in Government Bonds for Millennial Employees in Semarang City. The Financial Literacy Variable has a positive but not significant effect on the Interest in Investing in Government Bonds for Millennial Employees in Semarang City, whereas the Income Variable has a positive and significant effect on the Interest in Investing in Government Bonds for Millennial Employees in Semarang City.

Abstract

This article reviews the role of employee training and development in supporting sustainable economic growth in Indonesia through relevant literature analysis. Employee training and development are seen as crucial factors driving productivity, innovation, and corporate competitiveness, ultimately contributing to national economic growth. The article explores how skill development, technical capacity enhancement, and leadership training across various sectors can improve workforce effectiveness and promote the adoption of more environmentally-friendly work practices. However, challenges such as lack of infrastructure support and skill gaps still hinder the implementation of effective training programs in Indonesia. Findings from this review indicate that with appropriate investment in employee training and development, companies can create an adaptive and innovative workforce that not only supports economic objectives but also contributes to environmental sustainability. The article concludes that human resource development through employee training is key to achieving inclusive and sustainable economic growth in Indonesia.
