Abstract

Queues in budget-priced food-service retail commonly arise when customer arrivals exceed service capacity during peak hours. This study examines queuing as a dual phenomenon: an indicator of service-process efficiency and a form of social proof that may shape customers’ decisions to join, remain in, or abandon a queue. Non-participant observations were conducted at three Mie Gacoan branches in North Sulawesi (Manado, Tondano, and Airmadidi) across nine weekend sessions (midday peak 11:00–13:30 WITA; evening peak 18:00–21:30 WITA). Data were compiled from field notes, time logs of estimated waiting times, service-flow mapping using a service blueprint, and anonymized documentation of service artefacts. The findings indicate a multi-stage queue, with bottlenecks shifting across the cashier, preparation, and handover phases. Manado exhibited the highest intensity (maximum queue length: 95 customers; maximum waiting time: 60 minutes) and the greatest number of abandonment events (19), whereas Tondano showed lower levels (62 customers; 42 minutes; 9) and Airmadidi fell in between (78 customers; 50 minutes; 13). Sessions with longer waiting times were associated with higher levels of abandonment; however, persistent queue density during the evening peak suggests that the queue did not subside to low levels over the observation period despite rising time costs. Overall, the results provide descriptive evidence consistent with P1–P3 concerning multi-stage queue dynamics, the influence of service-design variation on where congestion accumulates, and the trade-off between time costs and the social-proof value of queuing in customers’ decisions.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of perceptions of internship quality on students' perceptions of work ability, with concerns about entering the workforce as a mediating variable in students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padang State University. A quantitative causal approach was employed, and stratified proportional sampling was used to obtain a total of 238 participants. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used, and data analysis was performed using SmartPLS 3. The results show that perceived internship quality positively and significantly affects perceived employability and negatively affects career-entry worries. Career-entry worries also negatively and significantly influence perceived employability. Furthermore, it was found that Career Entry Worries mediate the relationship between Perception of Internship Quality and Perception of Employability. These findings highlight the importance of high-quality internship experiences in enhancing employability by reducing psychological concerns during the transition to the workforce.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of price and brand recognition on online fashion product purchase decisions on the Shopee platform in Padang City with trust as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal research design. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a total sample of 200 respondents who are consumers in Padang City who have purchased fashion products through the Shopee platform. Research data were collected through the distribution of online questionnaires using Google Forms and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results show that Price does not influence the decision to purchase fashion products online on the Shopee platform in Padang City, brand recognition has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, price has a positive and significant effect on trust, brand recognition has a positive and significant effect on trust, trust has a positive and significant effect on purchase decisions, trust is able to mediate the effect of price on purchase decisions, and trust is able to mediate the effect of brand recognition on purchase decisions. These findings indicate that consumer trust is an important factor in encouraging purchase decisions in e-commerce transactions. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the determination to improve the quality of human resources in State Elementary Schools through the Free Nutritious Meal Program, talent management, and the quality of the learning environment. The study uses a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The research data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to teachers of State Elementary Schools in South Jakarta as research respondents. The results of the study show that the Free Nutritious Meal Program, talent management, and the quality of the learning environment have a positive and significant effect on the quality of human resources. These findings show that the improvement of the quality of human resources in basic education is not only influenced by academic factors, but also by the fulfillment of students' nutritional needs, systematic management of student potential, and a conducive learning environment. Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of green accounting and environmental performance on firm value, as well as the role of good corporate governance as a moderating variable. The study was conducted on energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2020–2024. Secondary data were obtained from companies' annual reports and sustainability reports, then analyzed using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of Eviews 13 2025. The results show that green accounting and environmental performance do not have a significant effect on firm value. However, good corporate governance can moderate the relationship between green accounting and environmental performance on firm value. These findings indicate that the implementation of good corporate governance can strengthen the relationship between environmental management practices and company value, so that companies are expected to be able to integrate sustainability and governance aspects more optimally in increasing company value.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Electrifying Agriculture marketing on electricity sales, customer growth, and power addition at PT PLN (Persero) ULP Lakawan. The Electrifying Agriculture program is a marketing strategy for the productive sector that is directed to increase electricity utilization in the agricultural sector through economic value creation and operational efficiency. This research is based on Marketing Management Theory which emphasizes the importance of value creation and demand management in generating market responses. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to customers in the productive sector, especially the agricultural sector. The sampling technique used Stratified Random Sampling with a sample of 100 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. The data obtained was analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results of the study show that Electrifying Agriculture marketing has a positive and significant effect on all dependent variables. The influence on electricity sales has a coefficient of 0.819 with a t-statistic value of 13.001 and a p-value of 0.000. The influence on customer growth has a coefficient of 0.730 with a t-statistic value of 8.610 and a p-value of 0.000. Meanwhile, the effect on power addition has a coefficient of 0.802 with a t-statistic value of 10.057 and a p-value of 0.000. The conclusion of this study shows that Electrifying Agriculture marketing plays a strategic role in increasing electricity consumption in the agricultural sector, expanding the customer base, and encouraging an increase in customer power capacity at PLN ULP Lakawan.
