Abstract

This study aims to investigate feminist perspectives on child-free trends in Generation Z from a normative point of view. The focus is to understand how feminism sees this phenomenon in the context of individual freedom, gender responsibility, and prevailing social norms. The research methods used are theoretical and qualitative analysis. Data was obtained through a literature study that included articles, books, and documents related to feminism, gender studies, and child-free trends. A qualitative approach was used to explore and analyze feminist views related to the childfree phenomenon in Generation Z. The results showed that feminist thinking towards the childfree trend in Generation Z reflects the complexity of the relationship between individual freedom and social norms. Feminism stresses the importance of recognizing that the decision not to have children is a legitimate choice for women, allowing them to pursue careers, self-development, and life exploration unfettered by traditional motherhood. Nevertheless, social norms that still reinforce the role of mothers and caregivers sometimes create pressure and stigma against women who choose the child-free path. Novelty/Novelty. This research makes a new contribution to the understanding of the complexity of child-free trends in Generation Z through a normative feminist lens. Her emphasis on the relationship between individual freedom, gender responsibility, and social norms provides deeper insight into the challenges and opportunities faced by women in navigating their life choices in contemporary society.

Abstract

Da'wah in the modern era requires adaptation to tradition with relevant and effective innovations. The purpose of this study is to identify the da'wah methods used in adapting traditions with innovations and the results achieved from this approach. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and observations of da'wah practitioners and related literature studies. The da'wah methods used include the use of information technology, social media, and a more contextual approach under the demands of the times. In addition, da'wah also adapts local traditions, such as culture and customs, by paying attention to universal values in Islam. The result of this approach is an increase in the accessibility of da'wah to the wider community, the strengthening of cultural Islamic identity, and an increase in a more comprehensive understanding of religion. By combining tradition with innovation, da'wah in the modern era can achieve better goals in spreading religious messages and strengthening the connection between religion and people's daily lives. This research provides valuable insights for the development of da'wah strategies that follow the demands of the times and the needs of the community.

Abstract

This research focuses on an in-depth analysis of the concept of women's emancipation from an Islamic perspective, to explore the principles of justice and gender equality taught in Islam, as well as their application in the liberation of women's human rights. Through a qualitative approach and literature review, this study explores Islamic teachings related to women's positions, their rights, and the challenges faced in realizing gender equality. The study also discusses various interpretations of sacred texts that are often considered controversial, to offer a broader and inclusive understanding of women's emancipation in Islam. The results of the study show that Islam, in its essence, advocates for equal rights and justice for all human beings, including women. Islamic teachings on inheritance, education, and the right to marry, for example, are evidence of the principles of justice offered by Islam to women. However, misinterpretations and patriarchal cultural practices have obscured this understanding and often hindered the full realization of women's human rights in Muslim societies. This research suggests the need for wider education and dialogue on the true teachings of Islam related to gender, as well as the importance of reinterpreting sacred texts in a contemporary context to ensure the true emancipation of women and the liberation of their human rights.

Abstract

In today's digital era, social media has become an integral part of daily life, including for Muslims around the world. However, uncontrolled use of social media can lead to various ethical problems. This research aims to explore the ethics of social media in a contemporary Islamic perspective, with a focus on ethical principles directed by Islamic teachings in interacting and communicating on digital platforms. The study adopts a qualitative approach, analyzing primary and secondary sources related to ethics in Islam and its application in the context of social media. The results of the study show that ethical principles in Islam, such as honesty, courtesy, and responsibility, are very relevant and can be applied to the use of social media. The study found that while social media offers a variety of benefits, such as da'wah and religious learning, its users must remain vigilant against negative potentials such as slander, ghibah (gossip), and the spread of false information. The study proposes several practical recommendations for the ethical use of social media according to Islam, including an emphasis on Islamic digital education, the development of Sharia-based social media policies by social media platforms, and the formation of positive online communities.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of foreign exchange reserves accumulation on macroeconomic stability proxied by inflation, unemployment, exports, and GDP for a sample of 49 Sub-Saharan African countries from 2009 to 2021 using a panel (longitudinal) fixed model. Findings from this study reveal that foreign exchange reserves have a significant negative effect on unemployment and inflation; however, it shows a significant positive effect on exports, while gross domestic product (GDP) shows no significant relationship with foreign exchange reserves. To improve the overall economy of the listed sub-Saharan countries, the paper, therefore, recommends that sub-Saharan African countries adopt a mixture of investment-friendly and unemployment reduction policies by reinvesting investible surplus into inflationary controllable and productivity-boosting policies that will stimulate economic growth rather than keeping this huge amount of resources redundant. The study adopted a qualitative research methodology where the study uses panel data, the data is secondary and is sourced from the World Bank Development Indicators.
