Abstract

This study aims to investigate work culture and sharia views on night work, focusing on responsibility, ethics, and its impact. This research method uses a qualitative approach by conducting a literature review and analysis of relevant primary and secondary sources. The results show that modern work culture often encourages individuals to work at night, especially in the service, health, and hospitality industries. Nevertheless, the Sharia view emphasizes the importance of balance between work and worship, as well as maintaining physical and mental health. In this context, working nights can pose moral and social challenges that need to be carefully considered. The novelty of this research lies in merging the perspective of modern work culture with the view of sharia, which is rarely explored thoroughly. The results of this analysis provide a deeper understanding of individual responsibilities in undergoing night work, as well as provide ethical guidance relevant to the Islamic context. In conclusion, this research can provide valuable insights for individuals, organizations, and communities in understanding the implications of night work from the point of view of work culture and sharia

Abstract

This study explores the critical link between early childhood care education (ECCE) and national security. Early Childhood care education lays the foundation for future cognitive, social, and emotional development, which in turn, shapes a nation's human capital, social cohesion, and economic prosperity. A comprehensive review of existing literature and empirical data reveals that high-quality ECCE programs can mitigate risk factors associated with national insecurity, such as poverty, inequality, and social unrest. Conversely, inadequate ECCE can perpetuate cycles of disadvantage, undermining national stability and security. This study argues that investing in ECCE is a strategic imperative for national security, as it fosters a skilled and productive workforce, enhances social cohesion and community resilience, supports early intervention and prevention of social ills, promotes inclusive and equitable development and encourages a culture of peace, tolerance, and understanding. The study recommends that policymakers prioritize Early Childhood Care Education as a critical component of national security strategies, ensuring that all children have access to high-quality early childhood care and education.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between motivation and job commitment among academic staff in Nigerian Colleges of Education, emphasizing both financial and non-financial motivational factors. Motivation significantly impacts the behaviour and performance of academic staff, affecting their engagement in teaching, research, and community service. Utilizing a correlational research design, this study examines personnel management practices such as recruitment, training, development, and discipline and their effects on job commitment. The findings reveal that financial incentives, such as salaries and overtime compensation, and non-financial motivators, like professional recognition and working conditions, play crucial roles in fostering job commitment. The study employs a correlational research design to examine the relationship between personnel management practices, such as recruitment, training, development, motivation, and discipline—and academic staff job commitment However, gaps exist in providing adequate non-financial benefits like accommodation and health services. The study concludes with recommendations for enhancing both financial and non-financial incentives and improving work environments to boost job commitment among academic staff in Nigerian Colleges of Education.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing Human Resource Management (HRM) processes and its contribution to improving organizational efficiency and employee experience. As organizations navigate an increasingly dynamic job market, the integration of AI offers opportunities for achieving sustainable success while addressing the demands of flexibility and innovation. The research aims to identify effective strategies for AI adoption in HRM, focusing on three key dimensions: personalization of employee experiences, security and privacy assurance, and adaptability to continuous technological advancements. Theoretical framework: Grounded in a theoretical framework that highlights the intersection of technology and strategic HRM, the study builds on a comprehensive literature review of recent advancements in AI applications within HRM. Literature Review: The literature underscores the potential of AI to streamline recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement processes, creating a more responsive and efficient HR ecosystem. Methods: A qualitative research method was employed, involving in-depth analyses of case studies and current HRM practices where AI has been integrated. Data were collected from organizational reports, interviews with HR professionals, and academic publications. Results: The findings reveal that AI adoption fosters a strategic advantage by seamlessly integrating technology into various HRM functions, resulting in improved decision-making, enhanced productivity, and higher employee satisfaction. Specifically, AI-driven tools enable HR departments to provide personalized support to employees, anticipate workforce needs, and optimize resource allocation. Implications: The implications of this research emphasize the necessity for organizations to adopt a holistic strategy for AI integration. This strategy should include substantial investments in technology infrastructure, upskilling HR professionals, and fostering an organizational culture that embraces technological innovation. These measures are essential for achieving competitive advantage and enhancing employee experiences in an era dominated by digital transformation. Novelty: The novelty of this study lies in its focus on the strategic vision required to fully integrate AI into HRM. Unlike previous research that often considers AI as a supplementary tool, this study asserts that AI is a foundational component for future business competitiveness. By framing AI as an essential enabler of strategic HRM, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of how technology can redefine organizational operations and create value.

Abstract

This research aims to explore and develop interactive and relevant Islamic religious learning methods for Generation Z in the digital era. Generation Z has unique characteristics, such as a high tendency towards technology, a practical and visual learning style, and the need to get information instantly. Given these needs, conventional learning approaches are considered less effective in attracting their interest in exploring Islam. This study uses a qualitative research method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies related to digital learning methods and religious teaching. Participants in this study include students, Islamic teachers, and experts in the field of digital education. The results of the study show that technology-based interactive methods, such as learning apps, educational short videos, interactive quizzes, and discussions on social media platforms, can increase the interest and engagement of Generation Z in learning Islam. The use of digital media not only makes the learning process more interesting but also helps students understand religious concepts in a more applicable and relevant way to daily life. In addition, the application of gamification, augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) in Islamic religious learning shows great potential to enhance immersive and contextual learning experiences. The implications of this study are the need for the integration of digital technology in the Islamic religious learning curriculum, as well as training for educators so that they can use interactive methods effectively. The novelty of this study lies in a holistic approach that combines digital interactive methods with religious learning, which has not been widely applied in the context of Islamic education. This research is expected to be a reference for educators and curriculum developers in creating Islamic religious learning strategies that are more adaptive, interactive, and able to answer the unique needs and characteristics of Generation Z.
