Abstract

This thesis proposal outlines a study aimed at reducing quality costs through the integration of Six Sigma, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) within the context of electronics manufacturing at PT X. NQC, which refers to costs incurred from products failing to meet established quality standards, has emerged as a critical concern for the company due to its substantial impact on overall expenditures. The primary objective of this research is to identify the underlying factors contributing to elevated NQC and to develop effective solutions through a comprehensive, integrated approach. The research methodology will encompass a thorough analysis of the production process, the identification of potential failure modes, and the application of TRIZ methodology to reduce subjectivity in the PFMEA analysis. By synthesizing these three methodologies, it is anticipated that actionable recommendations will be generated to improve product quality and enhance operational efficiency. This research is expected to yield practical solutions for PT X while also contributing to the advancement of theories and practices in quality management within the manufacturing sector. The outcomes of this study will serve as a valuable reference for other organizations encountering similar challenges in their efforts to enhance quality and cost efficiency.

Abstract

Terrorism is currently classified as an international crime which aims to pose a threat and fear to humanity. The presence of a deradicalization program is believed to be able to minimize and even eliminate extreme ideology which is the initial cause of acts of terrorism. Deradicalization is carried out for terrorist prisoners with the aim of eliminating extreme ideas and opening the way for terrorist prisoners to return to the basic ideology of a country and deradicalization is also carried out for society so that they can avoid extreme ideas. Each country has its own method, especially Indonesia and India, in its efforts to deradicalize terrorist convicts. However, does the deradicalization method used by Indonesia have any effect when applied to terrorist prisoners in India and vice versa. To see whether the deradicalization program between Indonesia and India has similarities, further observations are needed regarding the comparison of deradicalization programs between Indonesia and India. The method used in this research is a qualitative method whose sources are centered on literature related to the subject of discussion. The results of this research explain whether deradicalization programs in Indonesia and India have similarities and how effective these programs are in efforts to deradicalize terrorist convicts.

Abstract

Service procurement is a crucial part of supply chain operations, often susceptible to various risks that can disrupt business continuity. PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda, a major fertilizer company in Indonesia, faces multiple risk events in its service procurement processes. This study aims to identify these risks and propose effective mitigation strategies using the House of Risk (HOR) method. The HOR model comprises two phases: risk identification and prioritization using Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP), followed by the development of mitigation strategies based on risk agent rankings. The results reveal 20 risk events and 19 associated risk agents, from which 10 were prioritized through Pareto analysis. Consequently, 11 mitigation strategies were formulated to address the root causes of these high-impact risks. The novelty of this research lies in its specific focus on risk mitigation in service procurement—an area often overlooked in supply chain literature, which typically emphasizes goods procurement. This study contributes to the development of more targeted and proactive risk management approaches, particularly for state-owned enterprises operating in complex, high-stakes industries.

Abstract

This study investigates the key factors influencing the intention of plastic-based medical device manufacturers in Indonesia to adopt Material Value Conservation (MVC) principles in sustainable product design. Using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a foundation, this research integrates environmental awareness, regulatory pressures, knowledge of MVC, perceived ease of adoption, and perceived economic value to develop a comprehensive analytical model. A quantitative survey was conducted with 70 manufacturers located in the Greater Jakarta area, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control have a significant direct effect on adoption intention, while regulatory pressure and knowledge of MVC influence intention indirectly through mediating constructs. Although environmental awareness and technical knowledge are high among respondents, perceived economic value remains the most significant barrier due to concerns over initial implementation costs. The study's novelty lies in its empirical extension of TPB within the context of circular economy adoption in the healthcare manufacturing sector. It provides practical implications for policymakers, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, to enhance sustainability through targeted incentives and regulatory frameworks. This research contributes to the academic literature by demonstrating the interaction between psychological, institutional, and economic variables in shaping green manufacturing intentions in an industry with high environmental impact.

Abstract

Regional autonomy policies in Indonesia have become one of the main pillars in efforts to improve social welfare, especially in remote areas such as the Talaud Islands. This study aims to analyze the impact of regional autonomy policies on social welfare in the Talaud Islands, taking into account economic, educational, health, and infrastructure aspects. Using a qualitative and quantitative approach, this study collects data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and other relevant sources to provide a comprehensive overview of the socio-economic conditions in the region. The research findings indicate that while regional autonomy offers opportunities for improved well-being, significant challenges remain that need to be addressed to ensure that its benefits are fully realized by the community.

Abstract

This study investigates the factors that influence the intention to adopt solar energy at the household level in Jakarta. As urban energy demands increase and environmental concerns intensify, renewable energy technologies, particularly solar power, offer a sustainable alternative. The research primarily focuses on three key drivers: perceived benefits, installation-related aspects, and the role of government initiatives. Using a structured survey questionnaire, data were gathered from residents across various housing areas in Jakarta. The questionnaire assessed respondents’ awareness of renewable energy, perceptions of its advantages, perceived ease or complexity of installation, and the impact of governmental policies or incentives. The results of the analysis indicate that perceived benefits—such as long-term cost savings and environmental advantages—have a strong and statistically significant effect on adoption intentions. Government initiatives, including subsidies, public campaigns, and regulatory support, also play a critical role in shaping household decisions. Installation factors, although slightly less influential, still contribute meaningfully, particularly in terms of ease of access to reliable installation services and associated upfront costs. These findings highlight the importance of a multi-faceted approach to increasing residential solar energy adoption. Specifically, they underscore the need for government efforts to enhance public awareness and provide financial incentives, as well as the importance of ensuring accessible and user-friendly installation processes. The insights from this study can inform energy policymakers, private sector stakeholders, and urban planners in crafting effective strategies that support a greener and more sustainable urban energy landscape in Jakarta.

Abstract

This study explores how readers construct meaning and form interpretations of the character Furukara Keiko in the translated novel Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata through a reader-response perspective. Furukara is portrayed as a woman with a “strange” disposition, socially alienated due to her deviation from normative gender expectations. Her refusal to pursue a conventional lifestyle—such as seeking a full-time job, marriage, or motherhood—invites a myriad of reader perceptions that reflect broader socio-cultural negotiations about identity and normality. Adopting a mixed-method approach (Sugiyono, 2020), this research combines content analysis with the theoretical framework of reader-response criticism as formulated by Iser (1978), Fish (1970), and Rosenblatt (1993). Data were collected through stratified random sampling of 400 Goodreads reviews, from which Indonesian-based 50 reviews were purposively selected for their expressive and reflective depth. The analysis draws on seven response strategies by Beach and Marshall in Iskhak (2015): engage, describe, explain, conceive, interpret, connect, and judge. Findings reveal that the most dominant strategy is engagement, indicating strong emotional identification with Furukara’s marginalization and social resistance. Readers often describe her life in their narratives, reimagine her conditions, and relate them to their experiences. The character mirrors and critiques societal norms, particularly concerning gendered expectations (Adawiyah & Hasanah, 2020). This study defines the mutual interaction between reader and text, stress that literary meaning is not fixed but co-constructed through affective, cognitive, and contextual engagements (Priskila, 2024; Purba, 2023). These insights contribute to the growing discourse on gender representation and reader agency in literature.

Abstract

Indonesia has increasing threats to its national resilience stemming from the ascendance of radical ideologies and the widespread impact of globalized popular culture, both of which erode traditional values and social cohesion. This study investigates the utilization of cultural strategy as a preventive framework to enhance national identity and mitigate ideological risks. The study utilized a qualitative research design based on a constructivist paradigm, incorporating literature reading and document analysis, with an emphasis on state policies and cultural expressions, specifically dangdut koplo music. The results indicate that cultural components, when included in national policy, serve as instruments of soft power that bolster cohesion and ideological temperance. The findings underscore the necessity of incorporating cultural expressions into policy and educational frameworks to ensure enduring resilience. The discourse underscores that cultural strategy is integral to national defense, providing a repeatable framework for other multicultural civilizations facing analogous sociocultural upheavals.

Abstract

In Indonesia, robo-advisors were introduced around 2017, driven by the increasing penetration of internet usage and the adoption of digital technology in the financial sector. The use of robo-advisors grew significantly during the pandemic, as retail investors sought convenient ways to invest without the need for in-person meetings. Several fintech companies, including Bareksa, Bibit, and Moduit, offer wealth management services utilizing robo-advisor technology. While the total Assets Under Management (AUM) in Indonesia have increased, the growth rate of AUM has declined, which may indicate reduced new investment inflows. This study examines the factors influencing users’ intention to adopt fintech robo-advisor services in Indonesia, using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT 2) framework. The research is a quantitative descriptive study focusing on individuals in Indonesia who have used robo-advisor services via Bibit, Bareksa, or Moduit. Using purposive sampling, the study surveyed 150 respondents, with data analyzed through Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The study finds that all independent variables—performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit—significantly influence the adoption of fintech robo-advisors. Moreover, age, gender, and experience were identified as moderating factors. The strongest predictors of behavioral intention were performance expectancy, habit, and hedonic motivation, while habit, behavioral intention, and facilitating conditions were key drivers of use behavior. The study concludes that all factors significantly affect the adoption of fintech robo-advisors in Indonesia, and recommends that fintech companies leverage these findings to improve their features, communication strategies, and digital financial literacy initiatives.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of capital structure, liquidity, and firm size on the intrinsic value of property companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The property and real estate sector plays a crucial role in Indonesia's economy, contributing significantly to the national GDP. However, challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and economic uncertainty have impacted the sector's performance. This research employs a quantitative approach, analyzing financial data from 13 property companies from 2019 to 2024. Utilizing multiple linear regression, the study finds that capital structure and liquidity positively affect profitability, which in turn enhances the intrinsic value of these firms. The results underscore the importance of effective financial management in supporting the intrinsic value of property companies.
