Abstract

To maintain factory reliability, one of the essential factors is the availability of spare parts. Therefore, the spare parts procurement process implemented by the company must be effective and efficient. The complexity of supply chain activities in the spare parts procurement process involving multiple parties and uncertainties that occur in rapid dynamic changes may lead to the emergence of risk events with negative impacts in both short and long terms. The focus of this research is to identify operational risks in the procurement of MRO spare parts and identify alternative efforts to handle the risk of spare parts unavailability. The method used in this research is House of Risk (HOR) to identify risk events, risk agents, and design mitigation action formulations for priority risk agents based on the Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) value that can suppress the emergence of risk agents. The research results obtained 26 risk events and 25 risk agents. Priority risk agents were obtained based on the highest ARP value, using Pareto analysis approach resulted in 14 risk agents that contributed to 81.32% of the emergence of risk events. There are 9 mitigation actions that can minimize the emergence of risk agents in the supply chain process of MRO spare parts procurement.

Abstract

Optimizing the utilization of idle industrial assets is a crucial issue in asset-based management strategies, especially in the high-risk and capital-intensive petrochemical sector. PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PT PIM) as part of the development of the Arun Lhokseumawe Special Economic Zone (SEZ), is faced with the urgency to determine the most rational and value-added operational scheme in reactivating the ex-PT AAF Hydrogen Peroxide (H?O?) Factory. There are three alternative schemes analysed in this context: lease, operating cooperation (KSO) and self-management, each of which has different financial characteristics and risk profiles. The complexity of such decision-making requires a data-driven approach that is able to integrate economic and risk aspects holistically. This study aims to determine the most feasible operational scheme based on economic indicators such as Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Payback Period (PP), as well as two main risk dimensions, namely operational risk and market risk. This study also aims to build a decision tree-based decision-making model using the C4.5 algorithm to classify the feasibility of the scheme in a systematic and transparent manner. The research method uses a descriptive-analytical quantitative approach. The data used are secondary data from the project feasibility study and PT PIM's internal documents. Modeling was carried out by processing six main variables in categorical form to form a decision tree structure through the C4.5 algorithm. The process starts from calculating the entropy value, gain, to determining the root node and branch of the decision. The classification results show that market risk is the most decisive attribute in the decision-making process, followed by NPV as the main separating indicator between the "Feasible" and "Very Feasible" feasibility levels. The main findings of this study are that the self-management scheme is the most feasible option with the best financial performance: NPV of ±Rp 38.77 billion, IRR of 14.48%, and Payback Period of 5.58 years. The structure of the established decision tree is able to explicitly describe how the combination of risk and financial indicators can lead to different final decisions. This model serves not only as a classification tool, but also as an analytical instrument in understanding the relationships between variables and their implications for investment feasibility. This research makes a methodological contribution to the application of the C4.5 algorithm for data-driven strategic decision-making. This approach has been proven to improve accuracy, objectivity, and transparency in assessing the operational feasibility of industrial assets, and can be replicated for similar cases in other sectors.

Abstract

Economic disparities between regions in Indonesia necessitate an evaluation of the impact of infrastructure development as a catalyst for growth. This study analyzes the effect of infrastructure development by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) across four sectors—road construction, water resources, public works, and housing—on Indonesia’s regional economic growth. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, secondary data from 18 provinces (54 observations) were collected for 2022–2024. Data included PUPR’s budget realization and Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices from the Central Statistics Agency. Multiple regression analysis assessed sectoral impacts. Road infrastructure significantly boosted regional economic growth (? = 0.573, p = 0.000), contributing 37.82% to growth variation. Water Resources (? = 0.158, p = 0.034) and Public Facilities (? = 0.189, p = 0.019) also showed positive effects, contributing 6.35% and 9.41%, respectively. Housing development had no significant impact (p = 0.792) and a negative partial effect (–2.18%). Collectively, the four sectors explained 51.4% of GRDP variance (R² = 0.514, F = 12.934, p = 0.000). Road, Water Resources, and Public Facilities infrastructure are pivotal for economic growth, while Housing policies require reevaluation. Findings advocate prioritizing high-impact sectors to foster inclusive and sustainable regional development.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of risk management at Balai Jasa Konstruksi Wilayah VI Makassar (BJKW VI Makassar), a public sector agency under the Ministry of Public Works, using the ISO 31000:2018 framework. The research employs a qualitative case study approach to analyze the patterns of risk management implementation, identify key success factors, explore challenges, and evaluate the impact on organizational performance. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis involving key stakeholders. The findings show that BJKW VI Makassar has adopted risk management practices in line with ISO 31000:2018 principles, including risk identification, assessment, treatment, and monitoring. Key success factors include strong leadership commitment, adequate resources, effective communication, and a supportive organizational structure. However, challenges such as employee resistance, limited risk-awareness culture, and procedural gaps persist. The study concludes that while the implementation of risk management has led to improvements in operational efficiency and enhanced stakeholder trust, further efforts are needed. These efforts should focus on cultivating a robust risk-aware culture across all organizational levels, updating outdated standard operating procedures, and improving human resource competency to enable more effective risk management. This study contributes to the understanding of ISO 31000:2018’s application in the public sector and offers practical insights for improving risk management practices in similar organizations.

Abstract

In Tarakan City the increase in the number of QRIS users was followed by an increase in the number of QRIS merchants but did not reach the desired level. Recorded in the National Merchant Respository (NMRI) as much as 45.76% from the end of 2019 to June 2024. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of QRIS for MSMEs in Tarakan City through the integration of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) model and the addition of other variables. The research findings indicate that Social Influence, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Trust, Perceived Value, and Intention to Use have a significant influence on the adoption of QRIS by MSMEs in Tarakan City. Conversely, Attractiveness of Alternatives, Perceived Security, and Perceived Usefulness do not show a significant direct influence on Intention to Use. These findings suggest that social encouragement, ease of use, trust, and perceived value are key factors in driving the acceptance of QRIS, while the attractiveness of alternatives and perceived security play a limited role in this context. This study provides practical implications for MSME actors and Bank Indonesia to enhance socialization, training, and trust in QRIS to achieve more optimal adoption targets

Abstract

In the globalization era, competition demands every company to implement effective Human Resource Management (HRM) practices, where employee job satisfaction has become a key factor affecting organizational performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of work compensation and leadership style on employee job satisfaction with Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediating variable at PT. Paguntaka Cahaya Nusantara. This research uses quantitative associative approach with 110 permanent employees as respondents selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires with Likert scale 1-5, and data analysis used multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results show that work compensation and leadership style have significant positive effects on job satisfaction both partially and simultaneously. OCB significantly mediates the relationship between work compensation and job satisfaction, but does not significantly mediate the relationship between leadership style and job satisfaction. The coefficient of determination shows that 68.9% of job satisfaction variation can be explained by work compensation and leadership style variables. This research contributes to human resource management theory and provides practical recommendations for companies to improve compensation policies and leadership approaches to enhance employee job satisfaction.

Abstract

This research addresses the problem of delayed B2B internet service installations at PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Jakarta Barat, which fails to meet the regulatory requirement of 95% on-time completion within a seven-day service-level agreement (SLA ? 7 days) as stipulated in Ministry Regulation No. 15/2013. An evaluation of 3,394 orders in Q1 2024 revealed only 90.20% on-time completion, highlighting the need for process improvement. The objective of this study is to identify bottlenecks, streamline the installation value stream, and enhance SLA compliance through the integration of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Kaizen methodologies. Using VSM, the study identified 140 hours of value-added time (VA-time) spread across the site-survey, cable-pulling, and activation stages, with more than half lost due to scheduling delays and material shortages. Kaizen initiatives—including the digitalization of technician scheduling, standardized work-order formats, and regular 5S audits—successfully reduced VA-time to 7 hours, achieving a 95% efficiency rate in the future-state process. Simulation of the improved process demonstrated SLA compliance exceeding 97% and a noticeable reduction in customer complaints. Furthermore, warehouse and fleet 5S audit scores, indicating better orderliness and safety. These findings imply that the combined VSM–Kaizen approach effectively eliminates non-value-adding activities, accelerates service delivery, and ensures regulatory compliance, offering a replicable model for operational improvements in the telecommunications industry.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction and work-life balance on turnover intentions in Generation Z employees in the hospitality industry in Dili City, Timor-Leste. The research method used a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique involving 202 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS version 4. The results showed that job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on turnover intentions with a path coefficient of 0.296 (t-statistic = 3.330; p-value = 0.001). In contrast, work-life balance had no significant effect on turnover intentions with a path coefficient of 0.011 (t-statistic = 0.406; p-value = 0.685). The research model has an R² value of 0.959, indicating that 95.9% variability of turnover intentions can be explained by both independent variables. The findings indicate that even though employees are satisfied with their work, they still have a tendency to look for new job opportunities that are more in line with personal aspirations. This research makes a theoretical contribution to understanding the work behavior of Generation Z and its practical implications for human resource management in the hospitality sector.

Abstract

Market share is a crucial indicator reflecting a company's competitive position, especially in the highly dynamic banking sector. In the modern era, the urgency of sustainability has influenced consumer preferences, compelling companies, including the banking industry in Southeast Asia, to integrate sustainable marketing principles into their business and marketing strategies. This study examines the impact of sustainable marketing on market share in the Southeast Asian banking industry, with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as a moderating variable. The research focuses on three dimensions of sustainable marketing: environmental, social, and economic dimensions, measured through environmental innovation score, product responsibility score, and product access low price score respectively. Using panel data from 26 banks listed in Refinitiv database during 2019-2023, this study employs Fixed Effects Model regression analysis to test seven hypotheses and Eviews as a data processing tool. The findings reveal that environmental and social dimensions of sustainable marketing, as well as CSR, have positive and significant effects on market share. However, the economic dimension of sustainable marketing shows no significant impact on market share. Regarding moderation effects, CSR does not significantly moderate the relationship between any dimensions of sustainable marketing and market share. The study contributes to sustainable marketing literature by providing empirical evidence from the banking sector in Southeast Asia. The results suggest that banks should prioritize environmental innovation and product responsibility initiatives while maintaining strong CSR strategies to enhance their market position, even though CSR's moderating role was not statistically confirmed at the 5% significance level

Abstract

The global beauty and aesthetic industry has experienced remarkable growth, driven by rising consumer consciousness towards self-care and wellness. In Indonesia, the skincare and aesthetic services market has evolved significantly, with the medical aesthetics market reaching USD 257.05 million in 2023 and projected to grow to USD 495.64 million by 2029. This study explores service innovation strategies in healthcare, specifically within the context of Clinic Skin Care X, an aesthetic clinic in Bandung. The research focused on identifying service quality gaps using the SERVQUAL model and developing practical service innovations to address these gaps. Using a mixed-methods approach, data was collected from 85 patients through structured questionnaires based on the SERVQUAL framework. The analysis revealed that Clinic X generally meets or exceeds customer expectations, with the Empathy dimension recording a positive gap (+0.244). However, the Reliability dimension showed the largest negative gap (-0.938), signaling challenges in consistently meeting promises regarding consultation punctuality and pharmacy services. Based on these findings, strategic service innovations were proposed, including digital queue management systems, mobile app notifications, enhanced staff communication training, and workflow improvements. The study concludes that prioritizing the Reliability dimension through systematic digital transformation and staff empowerment can significantly enhance patient satisfaction and establish sustainable competitive advantage in the aesthetic clinic market.
