Abstract

This antenatal examination is carried out at least six times. In the first trimester, two antenatal checks are carried out, the second trimester is one examination; and in the third trimester, three antenatal examinations are carried out. There are several factors related to antenatal care visits. Namely education, knowledge, attitudes, and support from the husband or family. This study aims to determine the factors that influence antenatal care examinations based on the results of the studies conducted—using the literature review method for several national articles limited to the last ten years, namely (2011-2022). From the ten articles used as literature, a significant relationship was found between knowledge, education, attitudes, and husband or family support with ANC visiting behaviour. Health workers are expected to pay more attention to the quality and quantity of ANC counselling for pregnant women, and pregnant women are expected to increase awareness regarding carrying out ANC visits. Ten national articles are used as literature; some factors can influence pregnant women's visits to carry out ANC examinations. These factors include education, knowledge, attitudes, and the support relationship of the husband or family

Abstract

Iron supplements are one of the many supplements needed by pregnant women. Giving Fe tablets to pregnant women aims to reduce the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The addition of cases of anemia in pregnant women in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year. This is due to the low compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets. In various cities in Indonesia, it is seen that the level of compliance of pregnant women in consuming Fe tablets is still low. The purpose review is to determine the relationship between the adherence of pregnant women to consume Fe tablets with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. The type of research used is observational analysis with cross-sectional. The results from these journals show a very significant relationship between the level of compliance with anemia cases in pregnant women based on the characteristics of the respondents, such as age, education, occupation, anemia status, compliance, knowledge, attitudes, and others. To increase adherence to pregnant women, attention, counseling, and family support are needed to guarantee the health of the mother and fetus.

Abstract

When in good physical health, humans can easily carry out various activities. However, there are times when the body cannot carry out activities as usual because the body is exposed to diseases which usually begin with symptoms that can be felt. Fever is a symptom of the onset of the disease with an increase in body temperature above normal (> 38 ° C). To overcome the fever that occurs in children, pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy can be done. Pharmacological therapy is by giving fever-reducing drugs. Fever drugs often used are antipyretic groups, for example, paracetamol or ibuprofen. This study aims to examine what antipyretic drugs are most often chosen for the treatment of fever in children. The method in this study is a systematic review traced through Google Scholar and PubMed with a 10-year publication range from 2012 to 2022. The results of this study show that paracetamol and ibuprofen are indeed the first choices for treating fever in children. In choosing antipyretics, there is still a balance between paracetamol or ibuprofen; this is influenced by knowledge factors, ranging from information obtained through personal searches to information from relatives and from doctor's prescriptions that have been received.

Abstract

Background: Antibiotics are needed to treat infections caused by pathogenic bacteria. The use of antibiotics to treat bacterial infections when carried out in an inappropriate manner can have adverse consequences both clinically and economically. Inappropriate dosage, timing and frequency of use can lead to resistance. From various studies in various places, it was found that the knowledge and behavior of the community in the use of antibiotics were still not wise and rational. One of the health problems is antibiotic resistance where many Indonesian people still do not understand antibiotic resistance, one of which is influenced by the behavior of using antibiotics. Several factors have been known to influence use including poor governance, weak enforcement of laws and lack of knowledge. Conclusion: of this activity is to know the level of society regarding antibiotics as well as antibiotic resistance. Methods: used is a literature review which was analyzed from several scientific publications in national journals regarding antibiotic resistance.

Abstract

Diosgenin is a steroid sapogenin composed of a hydrophilic sugar with a hydrophobic steroid aglycone which functions as a starting material in the production of steroid drugs and hormones. Pharmacologically, diosgenin has been widely used as a treatment for leukemia, inflammation, hypercholesterolemia, and cancer. Diosgenin compounds are contained in plants such as abutilon indicum L, Coctus speciosus, tubers of Dioscorea spp, and fenugreek seeds. In order to guarantee the quality of the product, the active compounds must be standardized, so that uniform raw materials can be obtained and the pharmacological effects of these plants can be guaranteed. This article review was carried out by means of literature studies using secondary data in the form of journals and articles to standardize diosgenin compounds in several plants using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), high performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC), ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) methods. and thin layer chromatography (TLC).

Abstract

Isoflavone is included in the phytoestrogens, a natural plant substance with a structure similar to 17-β-estradiol. It can bind to estrogen receptors so that isoflavones can prevent or slow down forms of cancer related to Alzheimer's hormones, osteoporosis, and others. Isoflavones are also included in the flavonoids found in fruits such as berries, grapes and are most abundant in soybeans and other nuts. From the literature study that has been conducted, it was found that there are several methods for identifying isoflavone compounds, including HPLC/HPLC, TLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, Mass Spectrophotometry, and others. Of the many types of isoflavones that exist, the most commonly identified isoflavones are genistein and daidzein, which can be found in samples of soybeans, soy milk, and processed tempeh. The isoflavone content identified by each researcher differs in terms of the quantity and type of isoflavone content. This is because in identifying isoflavones, there are factors that influence them. The duration of fermentation has an effect because it is related to the presence of dissolved compounds during the fermentation process, which results in differences in the quantity of isoflavones, besides that the reactive and easily oxidized nature of isoflavones causes isoflavones to bind to other compounds to form new unknown compounds so that isoflavones are no longer identified.

Abstract

Depression is a severe mental illness that is usually characterized by feelings of sadness or anxiety. Data reports that some 800,000 cases of suicide are the result of depression. Meanwhile, in Indonesia, individuals with depression are in the range of 6% of the total population. Another finding was by the Central Statistics Agency (2014) that at least 3.4 million youth aged 10-19 experienced mental disorders in 2013. This review article aims to provide readers with information regarding compounds that have the potential as antidepressants. The method used in this literature review is to search for reference sources in the form of scientific journals or scientific articles, both on a national and international scale, related to in silico testing of antidepressant compounds. Several compounds can be used as antidepressants. The most common receptors used to test antidepressant activity are 5-HT1A (5-hydroxytryptophan) and MAOA (Monoamine Oxidase A). Compounds that have potential as antidepressants include safrole from nutmeg, Curcuma longa active compounds, curcumin derivatives, Angelica archagelica extracts, Gingerol and shogaol in Zingiber officinale Constituents, Dehydrozingerone Compounds from Zingiber officinale extract, eicosanal and acetate phytol from Elatostem papillosum, L. -17, 1MeTIQ, and Aegeline in Aegle marmelos fruit extract,

Abstract

There are many natural sources of antioxidants in food, one of which is ginger. Ginger (Zinger officinale var.rubrum) is a spice plant that is rich in antioxidants originating from South Asia, and has now spread throughout the world. research shows that some people do not like ginger rhizome directly because commercial ginger candy has a very spicy taste and the vitamin C content is still low at around 10.675 mg/100g. this research increases the content of antioxidants (vitamin C) and minimizes the spicy taste of ginger extract jelly candy. This research is a type of experimental research. The parameters observed in this study were organoleptic tests consisting of hedonic tests (preferences) and analysis of proximate nutritional content (moisture content, ash content, reducing sugar content) and vitamin C levels in the best formula jelly candy. The results obtained by the panelists' organoleptic assessment preferred the color of ginger candy in the P3 treatment with the highest percentage of 100%. The results of the hedonic test on ginger candy were carried out on 25 panelists, the highest percentage of acceptance was found in ginger candy P3, namely 100%. Laboratory analysis results on P3 ginger candy include proximate analysis (moisture content, ash content, reducing sugar content) and vitamin C levels
