Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana penyesuaian diri pada mahasiswa disabilitas di Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. Informan penelitian ini sejumlah 6 informan, 3 informan primer yang merupakan mahasiswa disabilitas yang masih aktif berkuliah dan  3 informan sekunder merupakan teman terdekat informan primer.Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara. Kredibilitas data menggunakan metode triangulasi.Hasil penelitian ini, dalam penyesuaian diri mahasiswa disabilitas terdapat tantangan yang dihadapi pada lingkungan kampus seperti menjalin hubungan pertemanan baru, perubahan sikap dan perilaku dari setiap informan, adanya perubahan cara pandang, berusaha lebih mandiri.  Terdapat kendala pada pengerjaan tugas dan ujian. Dalam lingkungan kampus terdapat perbedaan hubungan pertemanan yaitu mengenai dukungan teman, hubungan timbal-balik serta kepercayaan teman. Adanya kekhawatiran yang sama yaitu berhubungan buruknya nilai yang diperoleh. Dalam menghadapi masalah yang ditemui setiap informan menceritakan masalah yang dihadapinya pada teman yang dipercaya dan berusaha mengatasi dengan caranya masing-masing.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the predictive power of organizational commitment and workplace incivility on organizational citizenship behavior among employees at Purbowangi General Hospital. Utilizing a quantitative approach with multiple regression analysis, this research involved 132 employees from the hospital. Data were collected using the Organizational Citizenship Behavior scale (26 items) adapted from Sharma and Jain (α = 0.969), the Organizational Commitment scale (16 items) adapted from Allen and Meyer (α = 0.693), and the Workplace Incivility scale (28 items) adapted from Martin and Hine (α = 0.942). Analysis results revealed an F-value of 83.597 (p < 0.001), indicating a significant positive effect of organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior. Conversely, an F-value of 171.919 (p < 0.001) showed a significant negative impact of workplace incivility on organizational citizenship behavior. Additionally, an F-value of 137.071 (p < 0.001) confirmed that both organizational commitment and workplace incivility significantly affect organizational citizenship behavior among employees at Purbowangi General Hospital. These findings underscore the importance of enhancing organizational commitment to promote positive organizational citizenship behaviors and reducing workplace incivility. Future research should consider longitudinal studies to assess how changes in organizational commitment and workplace incivility over time influence organizational citizenship behavior.

Abstract

The systematic aim of this review is to synthesize the dimensions of the consumptive lifestyle from various previous studies. This literature study was carried out by reviewing 20 articles originating from Taylor and Francis database sources, Semantic Schoolar, SAGE, and SSRN Electronic Journal. The author uses PICOSS (Population, Intervention, Comparators, Outcome Variable, Study Design, and Setting) to filter out some inclusion and exclusion criteria. Then the results of the 20 journals show that the dimensions of a consumptive lifestyle consist of environment, technology, other cultural influences, family, competition, going with the flow, prestige, objects as self-expression, objects of consumption as hyper-reality media and substitutes for pleasure, having pleasure in excessive luxury, waste of money, action so that its existence continues to be recognized, modernization of lifestyle patterns, setting beauty standards, and symbols of confidence

Abstract

This study aims to examine the flow of emotional dynamics in adolescents who have mothers with authoritarian parenting. This is qualitative research. Participants consisted of 3 teenagers, 2 females and 1 male who had a mother with authoritarian parenting. Data were collected by providing authoritarian parenting screening which is then followed by a semistructured interview. The interviews were done using online communication media, such as Whatsapp. The data triangulation techniques were used as the credibility in this study. From the results of the research, it can be concluded that the triggers of emotional dynamics were due to the authoritarian parenting of their mothers, such as the existence of restrictions, punishment and demands. The emotional dynamics experienced by the three participants were their unstable feeling, marked by feelings of anger, fear, boredom, and sadness when they disagreed with their mothers. The outlet of each participant is different. In the process of quelling emotions, each participant prefers to cover up the story or write and end up asleep. Each participant will calm down so that they are not deep far into negative emotions.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the mechanism of dissociative trance disorder among university students in Purwokerto. The research focuses on the mechanism of dissociative trance disorder among university students in Purwokerto. The research method is qualitative with a case study approach. There are 4 participants and 4 secondary informants in this research. Those who have experienced dissociative trance disorder become primary informants while those who have close relationships with the primary informants become secondary informants. The data were analyzed by using an interactive model, involving data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing a conclusion. The research result revealed that there are 4 informants who go through the mechanism in the process of dissociative trance disorder occurrence. The mechanism includes four stages, namely the physical symptoms stage, the pre-loss of consciousness stage, the loss of consciousness stage, and the conscious stage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara Self-control dengan Problem Focus Coping pada remaja yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan Dharmo Yuwono Purwokerto. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah skala Self-Control dan skala Problem Focus Coping. Populasi pada penelitian sejumlah 75 orang. Peneliti menggunakan seluruh populasi, sehingga dinamakan penelitian populasi. Pada skala Self-Control memiliki skor validitas bergerak 0,111 sampai 0,588 dengan 45 butir  aitem yang valid dan mendapatlkan reliabilitas sebesar 0,898. Sedangkan pada skala Problem Focus Coping memiliki skor validitas bergerak dari 0, 151  sampai 0,593 dengan 44 butir aitem yang valid dan mendapatkan reliabilitas sebesar 0,903.Uji validitas meliputi content validity yaitu menggunakan product moment, sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan teknik alpha cronbach. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan yang positif antara Self-Control dengan Problem Focus Coping  pada remaja yang tinggal di Panti Asuhan Dharmo Yuwono Purwokerto dengan nilai koefesien r=0,785 dengan p = 0,000  (p<0,05).

Abstract

Hardiness, a key personality trait, can play a crucial role in helping individuals manage stress effectively. This study aimed to explore the concept of hardiness among divorced and widowed single mothers. Employing a phenomenological approach with qualitative methodology, the research utilized semi-structured interviews to gather data, which was then analyzed through Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). To ensure the credibility of the findings, triangulation, peer debriefing, and member checks were implemented. The study revealed that the four participants—single mothers who were either divorced or widowed—demonstrated strong hardiness. This trait enabled them to overcome significant challenges, view their children as a source of motivation and purpose, and transform past experiences into personal growth. The findings underscore the importance of hardiness in managing the stresses associated with single motherhood. It is recommended that interventions and support programs be developed to enhance hardiness among single mothers. Such programs could include targeted counseling, resilience training, and peer support groups designed to build coping skills and emotional resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-efficacy and psychological contracts on job attachment in the employees of the production department. Multiple linear regression analysis technique is used to analyze the data. The subjects of this study were all employees of the production department with 55 people. Data collection is done by try out using the scale of job attachment, self-efficacy scale, and psychological contract scale. The job attachment scale has a reliability of 0.914, a self-efficacy scale has a reliability of 0.952 and a psychological contract scale has a reliability of 0.932. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the value of Fcount = 66.210 with probability sig (p) = 0,000 (sig value (p) 0.05). Thus the hypothesis is accepted since there is an effect of self-efficacy and psychological contract simultaneously on job attachment to employees of the production department. Self-efficacy and psychological contracts make an effective contribution of 71.8% to job attachment (Rsquare = 0.718).

Abstract

The psychological well-being of widows can be seen from how they can have good self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, good independence, life goals, and also environmental mastery and good self-development. The study aimed to determine the psychological well-being of widowed early adult women because of divorce. The subjects in this study were 3 informants who are all widows and are in the young adult development phase in which the age range of the subjects was 22 years to 40 years and supported by three secondary subjects. The subjects were widowed because of the death of the spouse and divorce due to conflicts in the household. This research was qualitative with a case study. The data in this study were collected using interviews and observation. The result of this research illustrated that a widowed woman in the early adult phase because of the divorce did not have full psychological well-being yet. A good psychological well-being happened when aspects of psychological well-being could be achieved by the subject. However, the subject in this study did not fully feel good in self-acceptance when being left by her partner. Furthermore, independence was also closely related to its status, particularly when the widow did not have a permanent job. In addition, there were differences and similarities between the three subjects found in this study, the lack of psychological well-being of the three subjects was mostly due to their past experience, the relationship of the subjects with the people around them and the independence of the subject in dealing with life problems. The environmental mastery of the three subjects was also considered as low.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh quality of work life dan organizational commitment terhadap organizational citizenship behavior pada perawat tetap. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 50 perawat tetap. Metode pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan skala likert yang terdiri dari skala organizational citizenship behavior, skala quality of work life, dan skala organizational commitment. Skala organizational citizenship behavior memiliki reliabilitas 0,854, skala quality of work life memiliki reliabilitas 0,933 dan skala organizational commitment memiliki reliabilitas 0,901. Metode analisis menggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel quality of work life berpengaruh signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior. Variabel organizational commitment berpengaruh signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior. Sedangkan variabel quality of work life dan organizational commitment secara simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior.
