Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-disclosure through social media with interpersonal communication in terms of gender in adolescents. This research is a quantitative research. The research population was 150 students with a sample of 108 students. The data collection technique in this study used a simple random sampling technique. The data collection method used interpersonal communication scale (31 valid items, = 0.874 ) and self-disclosure through social media (23 valid items, = 0.911 ). The results of data analysis using Pearson's product moment and obtained a p significance value of 0.008 (p < 0.05). These results indicate that the hypothesis is accepted, namely that there is a relationship between self-disclosure through social media and interpersonal communication in MTS Al-Hidayah Purwokerto students. And the Pearson correlation value of -0.254 which produces a negative correlation. And it can be concluded that there is a significant but negative relationship where the higher the self-disclosure through social media, the lower the interpersonal communication, and conversely the lower the self-disclosure made through social media, the higher the interpersonal communication. Based on the results of the independent samples test, the significance of 0.319 (sig < 0.05) indicates that there is no significant difference between self-disclosure in boys and girls. as well as interpersonal communication with a significance of 0.109 (sig < 0.05) indicates that there is no significant difference in interpersonal communication between men and women.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahapan pengambilan keputusan pada laki-laki yang menikah dengan wanita tuna wicara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui wawancara semi berstruktur kepada 3 partisipan laki-laki normal yang sudah menikah dengan wanita tuna wicara sedari lahir dengan umur pernikahan 3 bulan sampai 5 tahun dan 3 informan, yaitu orang tua dan saudara. Kredibilitas data yang digunakan oleh peneliti yaitu menggunakan membercek. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data Creswell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa setiap partisipan melewati bentuk dari tahapan pengambilan keputusan yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor sosial, faktor pribadi, dan faktor psikologis. Pada H dan S menikah dengan wanita tuna wicara karena atas keinginan sendiri, sedangkan pada A menikah dengan wanaita tuna wicara karena dijodohkan.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-efficacy and self-adjustment among seventh-grade students at SMP N 3 Lakbok in West Java, Indonesia. Employing a quantitative correlational research design, the study involved 175 students as respondents. Data were collected using self-efficacy and self-adjustment scales, with reliability assessed via Cronbach’s Alpha. The validity of the scales was confirmed using the Product Moment correlation technique. The self-efficacy scale included 29 valid items and 11 invalid items, with a reliability coefficient of 0.815. The self-adjustment scale comprised 21 valid items and 19 invalid items, with a reliability coefficient of 0.769. Statistical analysis revealed a significant correlation between self-efficacy and self-adjustment (p = 0.000, p < 0.05), indicating that higher self-efficacy is associated with better self-adjustment among students. Specifically, self-efficacy accounts for 26.5% of the variance in self-adjustment, suggesting that additional 73.5% of factors influencing self-adjustment warrant further investigation. Future research should explore other factors contributing to self-adjustment beyond self-efficacy, such as social support, academic environment, and personal experiences, to develop a more comprehensive understanding of the dynamics affecting student self-adjustment.

Abstract

Women and men have differences, in a biological perspective, psychological and social perspectives. Social perspective, women are educated to be gentle and shows the feminine side, while men are educated to be masculine. Students who are known for being confident and having an out of the mind box in fact, especially female students have fear and psychological dependence, as well as a desire to be protected known as the Cinderella complex. Cinderella complex is fear women are not aware of the independence and success that causes herself to have a tendency to be protected by others especially men. This study aims to examine the Cinderella complex in college students millennial women. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study. Data collection is done through semistructured interviews to 3 primary informants and 3 secondary informants credibility of using triangulation of sources. Data analysis using interactive model data analysis. The findings of this study are that the three female students unconsciously experiencing cinderella complex syndrome shown with social behavior, namely, happy to receive attention from many men, have a tendency to depend on and be influenced by others, communication is not assertive, not confident in their abilities and rely on luck in determining the success factor. The factors of these behavior are parenting factors, personal maturity, and selfconcept influenced by parenting factors, personal maturity and self-concept.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the correlation between coping strategies and academic resilience in medical faculty students. The research subjects in this study were 70 active students of the Medical Faculty of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto who were selected using proportionate stratified random sampling. The data were analysed using the Analysis of Product Moment through the help of SPSS 22 for Windows. Correlation values r = 0.615 and p = 0.000 (p<0.01) was obtained in this study which indicated that there was a positive and significant correlation between coping strategies and academic resilience. Coping strategies provide an effective contribution of 37.8% to academic resilience. However, there are 62.2% of other factors such as strong social skills, interpersonal skills and social support that affect academic resilience.

Abstract

This study aimed to find happiness in adolescents with two fathers and two mothers. The focus of this research was happiness in them. A qualitative method with a case study approach was used in this study. The participants were the adolescents with two fathers and two mothers and two other informants namely family and close friends of participants. Data credibility used triangulation of sources by comparing data obtained from each source. Triangulation of techniques was conducted by comparing data generated from several different techniques with the same sources. The results discussed and linked the aspects of happiness with the research findings. The results showed that the participants accepted and enjoyed the past, had a positive activity environment, had ambitions in the future, had an effort to achieve goals, had hopes, and a positive point of view on the future.

Abstract

Resilience, a core concept in positive psychology, plays a crucial role in individuals' ability to navigate and overcome challenges. It encompasses the capacity to adapt and recover from adversity while maintaining focus on personal goals. Key aspects of resilience include: (1) personal competence, high standards, and persistence; (2) reliance on one's instincts, tolerance of negative emotions, and the capacity to leverage stress constructively; (3) positive acceptance of change and secure interpersonal relationships; (4) self-control; and (5) spiritual influences. This study evaluates the construct validity and internal consistency of a resilience scale for adults in Indonesia using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and reliability testing. The results indicate that the scale is both reliable (α = 0.887) and valid, with a well-fitting CFA model. Future research should explore the scale's applicability across diverse cultural contexts and its potential for longitudinal studies to assess resilience over time. Additionally, investigating the scale's sensitivity to different life events could enhance its utility in practical settings.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of work ethic and work discipline on the performance of Muhammadiyah elementary school teachers in Tegal City. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing regression analysis to assess the relationships between these variables. The sample comprised 65 teachers from Muhammadiyah elementary schools in Tegal Regency. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The analysis revealed that both work ethic and work discipline have a significant positive effect on teachers' performance. Specifically, work ethic enhances teacher performance, work discipline contributes positively to performance, and together, they substantially influence teachers' effectiveness.To further improve teacher performance, it is recommended that educational institutions implement programs designed to strengthen work ethics and enhance work discipline among teachers. Additionally, future research could explore other factors that may interact with work ethic and discipline to affect teacher performance, including institutional support and professional development opportunities.

Abstract

Pandemi covid-19 muncul pada awal bulan Maret 2020 di Indonesia, sehingga masyarakat diharuskan untuk beraktivitas dirumah. Kondisi ini masyarakat menjadi peningkatan konsumsi online yang sering tidak terkontrol karena proses pembayaran yang mudah dengan menggunakan debit maupun kredit online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan perilaku konsumtif mahasiswa Fakultas Farmasi Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto pada masa covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif. Alat pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala kontrol diri dan skala perilaku konsumtif. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 252 mahasiswa Fakultas Farmasi yang diperoleh dari rumus slovin dan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik korelasi pearson. Hasil uji normalitas pada kontrol diri menunjukan nilai p= 0,096 dan perilaku konsumtif nilai p= 0,200 ,menunjukan data berkontribusi normal. Hasil uji linearitas menunjukan deviation from linearity memiliki nilai p= 0,074 > 0,05 ,sehingga data dikatakan liniear. Hasil uji korelasi memiliki nilai r= -0,645 dengan p= 0.00, menunjukan bahwa korelasi antara kontrol diri dan perilaku konsumtif ini sangat berhubungan kuat sehingga hubungan ini negatif yang artinya semakin rendah kontrol diri maka akan semakin tinggi perilaku konsumtif dan semakin tinggi kontrol diri akan semakin rendah perilaku konsumtif. Nilai r menunjukan 64% kontrol diri sangat berpengaruh pada perilaku konsumtif.. Dari hasil uji korelasi menunjukan bahwa hipotesis diterima.

Abstract

The purpose and focus of this research are to find out the sources of work satisfaction on non-civil servant Primary School teachers in rural area of Kampung Laut. This qualitative research used phenomenology approach with 4 primary informants. The data were collected using interview. The credibility used by the researcher was inter-researcher triangulation. The results showed similarity and difference from the 4 informants. All of the informants stated that work satisfaction had several affecting factors. One of the satisfactions was when teacher had taught well and correctly to improve the students' knowledge so they could reach achievement index that the school wanted and helped their school to be better than before. Colleagues that helped and motivated each other resulted a passion at work and made the teachers satisfied with their work. The relationship between the leader and colleagues such as motivating each other, helping each other, and showing solidarity created a good working condition.
